Excellent food and great atmosphere. This was my 4th time back so that says a lot. The veal parmigiana is my favorite and is bone in! Caesar salad is great also. Enjoy!

Small cozy and sexy place great to enjoy a cocktail and some excellent food with your date. I can see the great influence of the new generation of the Busalacchi, Looks like a lot of work went to designing and building this place detaching from the classic Italian old-school restaurant that we used to have here in California. The spicy Cesar was spicy

I was looking forward to dining at LaLa given the success of the other Busalacchi restaurants. At the end of the day, I walked away feeling they did not live up to the hype. The food was good, just not great or memorable. Pricing is definitely on the premium side, so be prepared to spend a bit to dine there.

It was an intimate place but the vibe was great!! We had a high top table for 4 against a mirrored wall and it was my favorite spot!!!! We had the antipasti tower and for the price man, it was a lot of food!! Worth it!! My friend got the espresso martini and she said it was the best one she’s ever tasted. We both also had the Sidepiece and it didn’t sit well with me - maybe it was the bitterness of the grapefruit + ginger? Idk…but our other friend had the Mistress and that drink was bomb!! Our server, Juliana, was candid and honest about her appetizer picks and she was 10% on point!! Come here for your next girls night out, either post-dinner or before hitting the clubs downtown for a quick bite and some fancy cocktails! 🫶🏼

Food was decent. Noise level was so loud you couldn’t even have a conversation. Staff was just looking to sit you down, eat your meal, and push you out. They did overlook our birthday celebration.

Ambience is great… beautiful decor but food is poorly executed. Feels like TGI Fridays food. Every plate is dripping in sauces, super sweet and overwhelming. I think they wanted to go for an upscale vibe but the food feels cheap.

First timers at LaLa, were so excited . Sat immediately with water then it slowed a bit but picked up with cocktails and we started ordering ! Spicy ceasar salad, grilled oysters, bacon wrapped dates , stuffed shells and a Sicilian pasta ( I would def pass on that dish) All was delicious minus that one pasta dish. We started at 530 with a quite hum of noice by the time we left you could not hear a thing! So frickin loud which was a shame as the food is fun and yummy and the service was delightful . Always worth at least a try ….

The restaurant was cozy. The menu is very limited and it's a la cart. I had the strip steak which was delicious and the caesar salad was big enough for two. Halfway through my dinner, they told me that they ran out of "to go" boxes which I found very odd. My girlfriend asked if there was something they could find because we weren't leaving a $50 steak behind. They did end up finding some boxes which was great. We also felt the table was way too small for two people.

Food was great especially the skirt steak and ceasar salad. The environment is cool and chic. Servers were attentive and kind. Unfortunately it was very loud and my boyfriend and I had trouble hearing each other across our table. Because of this, we decided to not stay for a second drink after dinner and go to a different bar where we could hear each other better and have a conversation.

I highly recommend Lala. The main dishes are family portions and shareable. The food was delicious and tasty. We ordered appetizers, caviar with chips and bacon & date skewers, and three main pasta dishes. They have a small and great variety of cocktails. I ordered the “Night in Milan” it was really good. The service from everyone hostess, server, food runner, bartender was extraordinary. Not noisy at all may be because it was between 4 and 6:30pm IDK. Thanks!

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The Busalacchi Family has another hit….amazing food, warm, sexy ambience. Loved the decor….its perfect for a date night. The menu is unique….the pesto crepes were a 10! Can’t wait to go back. The valet parking makes it easy.

Second time dinning at LaLa, loved the service the first time, loved it the second time. Alexis was great, very attentive and nice. We started with the antipasti tower, very good, tasty cheeses the eggplant is delicious I just wish it came with thicker pieces of bread, there were 4 paper slices of bread. Next we had the steak tartar amazing very flavorful great idea with the chicharrones. The bacon dates are my favorite. We then ordered the gnocchi which even though I am not a fan I have to say the sauce made them super tasty, the calamari and the amazing Parmesan cheese drenched Cesar salad are a must,very tasty.

Lala was a beautiful restaurant. It has not been open long,so I foresee their menu changing and improving. The service was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, but the food was just fine. We ordered the cioppino, the “baked potato” gnocchi, the calamari and potato chips. None of it was bad, but none of it was great or worth the cost to be honest. I would maybe try it again in a year or so.

Came to check out this place a month after it opened after seeing an influencer post this new cocktail bar. The influencers review she said the food was OK. Drinks were amazing. Ambience were amazing. I would have to agree. The drinks and the ambience were great. However, not much options for food. The waitress raved about the steak so we got it. Absolutely, zero, nada seasoning. It had no flavor at all. Very disappointing. wasn’t to trilled with their meat and cheese tower but it was ok. Dessert was good. Overall , I’d only come here for drinks then head over to another restaurant.

I’ve been here twice since it opened and it’s already at the top of my San Diego recommendations list!! The food is awesome and was consistent across both of my visits! The drinks are great, it’s very rare I read a cocktail menu where I want to try every single one. Same goes for the food, everything sounds and IS delicious. My favorites were the burrata, tartare, gnocchi and scallops. Servers are wonderful, managers are great and the vibe is fun and intimate at the same time. Check them out!

Underwhelming. While we understand a limited menu, this menu was not creative nor exciting. Bartender had poor attitude (and we were an early crowd). Needs more time to marinate on their soul - potential is there.

I had a delightful dining experience at Lala, nestled in the heart of Little Italy. The ambiance and décor exude charm and warmth, making it a delightful setting for a meal. Our table indulged in a spread that included a crisp Caesar salad, tender calamari, flavorful stuffed shells, and a succulent steak—all of which were absolutely delicious. I look forward to returning in the future, perhaps leaving some room for dessert next time!

Where to even begin yall?! The ambience, decor, service, drinks and food are all so incredible. Keller, our server, was the absolute best. She had great recommendations and we'd recommend trusting her to anyone who has her as their server. My friend and I started with a couple of menu cocktails first, then ordered the calamari, stuffed shells, pepper poppers and the bacon & date skewers. Holy toledo! It was more food than the 2 of us could get thru but... Every. Single. Bite. Was off the charts amazing. It was worth the need to make a reservation, worth the price and well worth the time spent in this amazingly esthetically pleasing and quantity spot. I will be back, over and over again!

Good experience overall. I really wanted the grilled cheese, but they ran out. Given past comments, it seems the grilled cheese is popular and that they often run out of it often. I was seated near the front, and it was really chilly at times since its technically semi-open. Drinks and dinner for 2 in Little Italy for $75 is a really good value.

It is a cozy cool restaurant, it is decorated with elegant detail. We were received by the super friendly staff and the owner our server Caroline was very patient and attentive since it was our first time and I thought O had lost my cell phone outside. We ordered the dates with bacon which were amazing, then we ordered the steak which was cooked to perfection in just wish it came with some sort of side. We also ordered the Milanese it was good but not my favorite; too much sauce. We finished off with the only dessert on the Menu the tiramisu Martini, it was delicious. I would come back.

Got a ressie for my friends birthday dinner for a table for 5! When we arrived we had been given the least desirable, darkest and coldest table in the restaurant, right next to the entrance. When we asked if there were other tables available, a random server argued with us that they couldn’t move us. I let them know I made the reservation for indoors, and then the host came over to make us feel guilty about wanting to move and let me know I made the reservation wrong✨ Eventually, we got moved inside to a great table. The restaurant never filled up so it was quite interesting how rude the hostess was about the move. Luckily the server was very sweet, and made up for it. The poppers were a total favorite, but the food was just ok. The lala martini was great if you like a dirty martini. I got the cioppino which was maybe a 7/10 on the bland side. They brought out a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl. I Would visit again after they are not quite so new. I wouldn’t have left his review if I hadn’t felt so thrown off by the hostess tonight.

We all enjoyed the restaurant very much. The atmosphere has a speakeasy vibe. The decor is very kitschy. Our server was excellent and the food was super delicious. The only draw back is they do not serve any coffee of any kind. This needs to be remedied. The menu is limited and is directed as shareable.

We enjoyed the evening and mostly enjoyed the shared plate concept - my favorite way to eat! Makes it so enjoyable. We loved our choices - the calamari, scallops,poppers and scallops. We wanted a pasta dish and our waitress suggested an “off the menu” simple marinara pasta that really rounded out our meal. That’s the sign of a great restaurant when they take care of a customer like that. The martinis and old fashioneds were also really great cocktails.
