Our menu is inspired by our own family gatherings, sharing food, wine, company, the beauty of our landscape and the bounty of our Estate Grown produce. Dine outdoors on the deck overlooking Lake Moodemere, or indoors in the heritage listed homestead - air conditioned in Summer with wood fires in Winter.

We grow our own lamb, wheat, honey, citrus, seasonal vegetables & herbs. All our Estate produce is sustainably produced with minimal intervention and zero food miles in a reflection of the place it was grown and the people who made it.

Our chefs have a passion for sustainability and creativity. In addition to our estate produce, we source the best of the season's harvest, with a view to minimising food miles, to enhance a vibrant, ever changing menu.

Lovely winery and grounds. Great outdoor dining area. Service and wine were excellent. I must be honest though. I had the pork belly for main and I was dissapointed. I love pork belly but the way this was presented and cooked was not great. I found it dry and just lacking that real pork belly deliciousness. Everything else was good. Beautiful steamed greens, great steak and good presentation of food. One other slight disappointment my husband had the arancini for entree and there was only one. I had a prawn linguine for entree and it was a very generous portion compared to my husbands entree. Maybe they should look at that entree dish and think about adding one more ball to make the entrees more even. Anyway on the whole a very enjoyable experience.

Thank you for a delightful evening! The atmosphere was incredible. The four courses, as usual, was not only delicious but generously portioned. The service was both prompt and sincere, adding to the overall wonderful experience. The performance by the Lake Moodemere Quartet was the perfect finishing touch to an already perfect evening. Belinda, you should be proud of yourself. We admire both you and Michael and the legacy you are ensuring continues for many generations to come.

Great seating options in a lovely setting over-looking the water. We visited on a very hot day & some of our diners wondered if we might’ve been cooler inside. Food was nice, with a limited menu. Loved the crispy pork belly starter. Lamb was great as a main, and recommend the potato’s cooked in duck fat. Vegetarian was eggplant, which I was told was just OK, and the trout for main was only fish option (also told it was OK, but looked big and very well cooked to me).

We had a lovely meal in a shaded outdoor setting. The estate owner was very helpful and friendly. The staff were excellent. liked the wine so much that we bought more to take home.

A table of 4 overlooking beautiful bush scenery, stones throw to the river and surrounded by amazing trees was the setting for a delicious meal, lovely wine and great service 😍 highly recommended 🙏

Food ambiance and service were all fantastic. The amount of food served for four people on the set menu was really small, especially when it was $340 for four just for the food. Drinks were on top of that. We were all still hungry and would have loved some more lamb and potatoes which were lovely.

A beautiful venue overlooking the lake. Food amazing. Expect to stay for several hours as you are not rushed. Only negative was the lamb & potatoes were not served hot. I would think this was a one off.

Excellent service on arrival offered to dine inside or out .We chose to dine with matching wines from Lake Moore merely. All of the three coarses were excellent lovely wine .We will return.

Can not say a bad word about this winery and our experience. Had lunch and wine tasting. Food was magnificent, service just fantastic and Sheree who did the tastings was just a wealth of information on all levels. The wines, history and the local area. Could not recommend them enough for a visit and a meal.

A beautiful place for lunch. Belinda & Michael are wonderful, welcoming hosts, as are all the staff. The set menu was perfectly portioned, & food delicious. Our group of 9 loved every aspect and all keen to go back again.

We enjoyed hearing the family history of the property . Food was very tasty but could have been served hotter. We had the chefs menu , plenty to eat for us . Wish the red cabbage had been braised rather than served as a slaw, minor preference . Staff friendly and made us feel very welcome , thank you .

Absolutely outstanding service and the food was delicious! Sitting outside overlooking the lake was very picturesque. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

The food was outstanding. It was perfectly cooked. The wine I had enticed me to purchase 6 bottles. I cannot recall the last time I experienced fine dining. The experience yesterday certainly was 'fine dining' but, as a Mr Suburban Average, I did find the cost expensive. There were no vegetables to be served with the lamb dish and I had to purchase some beautifully prepared sprouts to 'round off' the dish. I have eaten at restaurants in Wangaratta and the dishes were served with small quantities of some vegetables. I suggest that the addition of small quantities of vegetables be served with the appropriate dish, such as the lamb. Service was excellent.

Fantastic place to Lunch!- We had a tasting from the lovely Sherrie, who expertly took us through some excellent wines- Sat near the open fire and ordered the estate plate for 3, food was superb, service from our waitress was top notch…just lovely! Will be back again, Thanks Moodemere!!

Don’t come here if you’re looking for silver service, linen tablecloths etc. But DO come if you’re looking for somewhere unique with personal friendly service and extremely tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and it will be top of our agenda when we next visit the region.

We enjoyed lunch in front of an open fire in the dining room on a cold, wet day this week. The menu accommodated the two children who were part of our group with ease, and the Lake Moodemere Estate staff were charming and friendly. The Estate grown lamb was a standout and the sides were a hit with even the two young vegetable skeptics. In short, it was a warm, comfortable refuge on a bleak day.

Absolutely adored our time at Lake Moodemere. We booked for lunch. The food was absolutely divine. Best bread I have ever eaten in my life. Service was impeccable. The setting is so homely and Australian. Couldn’t speak more highly of Lake Moodemere. Cannot wait to come back.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Lake Moodemere Estate. We started with wine tastings which was very informative followed by food which was divine. We came away with a box of wine we are looking forward to sharing with family and friends. ☺️
