Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar in Duluth, Minnesota has been around since 1991, back when Canal Park was better known as an industrial harbor rather than a tourist location. The interior at Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar has a cozy feel to it, thanks in large part to the reclaimed lumber used for the tables, booths and bar as well as thriving plants. When the weather is nice, you can dine on our deck, furnished with Loll patio furniture made locally.
We are a small restaurant, limited to 15 tables and 70 seats indoors. Because of this we are not able to accommodate groups larger than 8 people. If your party is larger than 8 people, please understand that your group may be split at separate tables, potentially not near each other. Please call us to discuss accommodating your large group events.
Due to the invariability of Duluth weather, our deck is non-reservable (with or without dogs) and subject to be closed without much notice. We seat the patio on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This place has such a creative and delicious menu, both food and drinks! We come to Duluth every year from Indianapolis, and dine here 2 or 3 times in our 5 days. Can't recommend this amazing place enough!

I expected something more outstanding for the price. Nothing really wrong with it but the ambiance, the food and the service were good but nothing special. The schizophrenic menu indicated a lack of focus and refinement. Short wine list.

We had the delicious drinks, an appetizer, side salad, and two entrees - black cod with harissa potatoes, and chicken curry. Everything was fresh and delicious! It was fun eating out and feeling like you ate healthy food as well! Highly recommend!

Our server was kind, and attentive. The menu was on the smaller side, but the flavors were good. We will be back for sure.

We had excellent meals, cocktails, and a great Barbera. Comfortable, good place to visit with friends over a meal.

The Salmon with the accompanying broth was one of the best dishes my wife and have ever had. Five stars Noise level was fairly high but not overwhelming.

Our server Jonathan was great. Attentive but not over bearing. We started with the Ridge cocktail(s) and crayfish fritters. Then the salmon salad and steak special. Cool ambiance. Great location…especially to walk over to the Sam Hunt concert.
