Great meal. Attentive service even though it was a busy Mother’s Day crowd. Food was outstanding. We had coconut prawns, Dorado ceviche, ensata primacvera, and Skiet steak. Steak was cooked to order and the roasted peppers with it were delicious. Ceviche and coc prawns were excellent as always. The only reason we put 4 stars is that we were charged for a taco trio that we did not order. I am Sure it will be credited when we speak to management.

We love La Viga, didn’t realize menu choices would be limited on Mother’s Day so I was a little disappointed but everything else was fabulous. We will be back!!

Delicious food- packed with flavor! The coconut shrimp, ceviche trip and empanadas were a hit! Cocktails were fun and great tasting as well. A hidden gem in Redwood City! 10/10 recommend

Very fun Mexican dinner. The murals on the wall and busy/energetic ambience added to the meal. Food was excellent, especially the dorado ceviche and the bistrc y papas and the cauliflower appetizer. Drinks were especially tasty.

Celebrated my mother's 70th here, there were 12 of us which is a big party for the size of the restaurant, but they were amazing at making sure we were well taken care of. Food was wonderful and they allowed us to bring our own cake for the celebration. Highly recommend their Arroz con Mariscos and Enchiladas made out of their Cochinita Pibil. My bf had the skirt steak and loved it. Everything was amazing, thank you for outstanding service, La Viga!

Everything we ordered was good but I was disappointed to find out that they no longer (or don't) serve the Quesadilla de Camaron (crispy shrimp, mixed wild mushrooms, grilled poblano & red peppers, onions, five cheese blend, guacamole served w/a jicama & mango salad) for lunch on the weekend. We traveled all the way from SF for it!

The cocktails (especially the melon flavored cocktail) and food were great. For food, ordered the chips and guacamole, ceviche trio, the pulpo dish, and a couple tacos. We finished it off with churros. Everything was delicious. The restaurants seems a tad understaffed in terms of waiters but the service we received was good. Will definitely return!

The food was excellent. Some of the patrons were obnoxiously loud, but that’s not the restaurants fault. The service was lacking tonight though. We were seated promptly but didn’t see a server for 15 minutes and had to ask for one. This is one of my favorite restaurants so it’s disappointing when the service isn’t good.

We had a reservation for 5 but were seated at a 4-top with five placemats at it...not ideal but we made it work. I think they were a little understaffed as it took a while to get drinks, waters, etc. But they were quite busy. The food is excellent...fresh, flavorful, interesting. The service was better on a previous visit when the restaurant wasn't as crowded. I will definitely go back.

La Viga does not disappoint. We have eaten here for years but only a couple of times a year. Always good, solid, delicious food. Efficient service and comfortable.

The food is always fresh and flavorful! We especially like the different types of tacos and the shrimp quesadilla dishes. The Service is always friendly, prompt, and attentive and we love going there for lunches. The only issue is limited parking on Broadway.

The food was wonderful with seafood and non-seafood options. The cocktails were unique and delicious. We loved the music they were playing in the background...and it wasn't too loud. The staff was so nice - they accommodated all requests very quickly and graciously.

The food tasted great. However, some items came out lukewarm and the service was very underwhelming. They messed up our drink orders and made a mistake on the check. Thank goodness we paid attention. Overall, it was OK but not worth the drive since we live on the east bay..

We started with the Cerviche Trio - all three dishes were fresh, tangy and fabulous. Next fish tacos - one salmon, one red snapper, again delicioso! Finally (although I woiuld have been content with the previous two dishes) Casuelito del mar - mussels, scallops, shrimp, clams in a tequila tomato cream sauce that absolutely was to die for. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It's a bit pricey, but the food and service is amazing. Can't wait to return and take friends and family!

The food ingredients are interesting and the flavors are very tasty. The staff was friendly but didn’t always follow up probably due to the restaurant being full. This should be improved to get more stars and make the meal great.

This place is not "fancy," but the quality of the food and service are excellent for the price. Great for a casual lunch or dinner. Also, the flavors are interesting and a departure from common fare. A really nice find.

Love this place! Amazing food you would expect in a high end restaurant. Interior is very casual, but that just lends to the “hidden gem” feeling of it all. Will be back soon!

Made a reservation and got seated right next to the bar entrance squeezed in next to another table. With in the 1st 10 minutes they had asked for our drink and food order and acted put off that we needed more time. The noise level was so loud the server couldn't hear us and we certainly had trouble having a conversation. The menu is only on QR code making it difficult to navigate and I literally had to ask the server to come back in 15 minutes so we could finally have time to discuss our order. This was a 1st date and thier behavior and attitude made it very difficult to enjoy my dates company. The server tried to take the QR code sheet prior to our order. I truly felt rushed like I was welcome or a paying customer. The food was average at best and drinks were nothing special. Very bad experience and would stay away unless you enjoy being treated like garbage.

What a great place for dinner! The food was outstanding: we always order their ceviche trio and it never disappoints. So fresh and tasty with 3 versions in one order, something for everyone at the table. My favorite dish is the conchinita pibil which is just amazing, juicy and flavorful. You can have it as an entree or in tacos and it was great again. My companions loved their dishes as well. We all got their Mexican hot chocolate as well as dessert and it was a great way to end the meal. The service was fantastic and I can’t wait to go back!
