Back in March my husband and I had a terrible experience at La Stella and swore we wouldn't return. The food was so good that we decided to give it another chance and we are really happy we did. This time the service was terrific. Our server, Cassidy, was knowledgeable, friendly, and great at making recommendations. The food, as always, was excellent. I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious and my husband enjoyed his chicken with lemon. For dessert we had their amazing tiramisu which is reason enough to go to La Stella. We also appreciated the manager coming around to chat with diners and to make sure everything was okay. Finally, I know some people don't like live music at restaurants but W.T. Greer who sang on Friday night was fantastic! If we didn't have a show to attend, we would have stayed a bit longer just to listen to him.

Great meal. A little overpriced but this would not have been an issue if they had validated the parking. Went out to find that the parking that had their name on it was extra.

I was hoping for a fantastic Italian meal, and just didn’t get it. I was there on a quiet Tuesday night, which might have something to do with it. We ordered two apps and three pastas. They were fine, but not great, and all very expensive for what we got. Service was fantastic and I want to give it another try on a busy Saturday night (I’ve been for a cocktail on a busy night and the vibe was fantastic and the Italian manager a great guy). Want to love it, but disappointed with my wife’s birthday dinner last night.

Bread was brought to the table by a worker with filthy fingernails. Bread was dry. The gnocchi was mozzarella filled pasta with a very weak pesto sauce. When I asked the waiter if it was good he said the pesto has a nice "kick". The gnocchi was too dense and undercooked - making it obnoxiously chewy. And the only "kick" was the price for such a tasteless dish - $34.00. I ate about 10 pieces and could not get another little bullet down. My partner got the veal dish - with cheese on top - came with an impressive long bone. I have always heard that good Italian restaurants have great veal. And in my dining experience, this is the case. Not so at La Stella. He gave me a bite - and seriously it tasted tainted. He didn't finish his meal either. But his meal was the real "kicker" at $75.00. For this price, he really did expect more and La Stella should have delivered much better. Entertainment was amateurish. This is not fine dining in my opinion. Just another owner looking to capitalize on being "Italian and family owned" in a location where they capture the Winspear folks prior to showtime. Not returning.

Very welcoming restaurant from the person that seats you to the people that serve you. Excellent recommendations, great food and the staff were very attentive. I enjoyed the food, the drink recommendations and the tiramisu for dessert was just the write cap off of a great evening

Great dad daughter date night before Hamilton. Service and food were impeccable. Pricy but expected mid city and across street from theater. Everything was delicious and can’t say enough about the service. In town visiting but definitely recommend to anyone in the area for a special evening.

We found Stella on our search for dinner before Hamilton at the ATT PAC - what a lovely find it was! Lovely restaurant, delicious well prepared food and gracious service. We were on the early side so we’d made our 7:30 curtain call but we are really looking forward to returning!
