Overall experience was great and we will be going back. However, I think you need to be more upfront & transparent about the cost of valet parking. There is no signage about the cost being $7.00. We didn’t mind paying for valet parking at all, but don’t think it should be a surprise when we go to get our cars that it is fee based & that the fee is a flat $7.00. It appears that there is no other option other than valet parking and that is fine, but you should tell your guests from the beginning when they pull in that valet parking g is required & that the fee is $7.00. The whole experience was great but was a little soured by the whole valet surprise. Just be transparent!!!

We loved sitting on the patio. They have changed the southern chicken salad and the pizza bread. A shame I wish they had kept it to the original way.

My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner. We had a lovely time. The food was great. We had the savory cheesecake + the 5 oz steak . I had the mushroom lasagna. All dishes were really tasty. Food came at a moderate, good pace. We had 2 waitstaff which was great too. It is a pretty restaurant.

Beautiful room and the food was generally very good. Way too noisy. Service was a little spotty - my significant other asked for lemons and ice for her water. Lemons took several requests and never got any ice. Also asked for more bread and didn’t get that until a manager came by and asked how we were doing. Cesar salad was bleh - lettuce was soggy and not flavorful. Have had better at many less pricy places. Main courses and sides were excellent. Also, we felt a little rushed as little time between courses. Overall, four stars at most.

Overall terrible service, coursing, timing, and experience. Food was mediocre at best and $100pp for light dinner that took 3hrs.

The lunch was ruined before it got started. I chose this location because of convenient parking and good food. It’s essentially valet only. Only a few parking spaces in the back for non-valet. I don’t mind the $3 for a parking space, but just charge for that. We live in a world where I don’t trust anyone else in my car. Give your customers a choice- as I know some people just love rolling in and tossing their keys to a stranger, but please just the option. I won’t be back until this is changed. They also took the LaGriglia salad off the menu.

My husband and I went there for our anniversary. It was so loud it was hard to hear each other and the waiter. The wait staff was running around very frantically creating a stressful environment. I was continually asked if everything was ok. It became ridiculous. The tables were very close together and some of the dishes were served from carts. My husband had one such cart behind him and they were cutting up a chicken. He said he could feel the heat and grease coming off of it. The food was ok, nothing I would go back for. I did like the pizza style bread that was served while waiting for our meal.

I would have given it 5 stars if not for where we were seated- within a few feet of the kitchen doors, looking into the kitchen & bathroom access. They directed us to sit facing the kitchen bc they said waiters needed the space coming out of the kitchen. So we couldn’t even turn our backs on the doors! Waiters made an effort to close the kitchen doors- but that was a fail bc they were swinging constantly & lighting was much brighter when the doors were opened. Should NOT seat guests at that table! Especially those who reservations! Two other tables of 4 were empty throughout oour dinner. I thought about requesting a different table as we were seated; in retrospect, I should have. Our dinner was delicious. Service good.

The savory cheesecake is a great starter with shrimp and crab. The pasta in the cheese bowl prepared table-side is amazing and the pork chop was perfectly cooked. I recommend getting the sauce on the side as it is a little sweet.

Crazy expensive wine list so ordered wine by the glass. $30 per glass and it was served with sediment. Medium rare steak served virtually raw. Cesar salad had no flavor except sour cream.

Food was good. Our waiter didn’t bring one of our. Sides until we asked 3 different people. Never offered more bread and then we had to ask 2 other people. We were brought the check and never asked if we wanted coffee after dinner drinks or dessert. Sorely disappointed. When we expressed our comments to him he didn’t even apologize.

By personal choice, it has been years since I dined at a Fertitta owned restaurant. Well, last night we ate at La Griglia. It was, in a word, delightful. From the attentive valets, to the smiling hostesses, to the helpful waiters and wait staff, the knowledgeable and approachable sommelier, and last, but not least, to our captain, Ruben, whose warm hospitality truly made our evening an enjoyable one. Our meal was good, and Ruben's recommendations were even better. That all said, it was extremely, and I do mean extremely, loud in the restaurant and we arrived early at 6:15 p.m. What a shame to build out such a lovely space and not address the acoustics.

This is not the same restaurant compared to the old location. The management/owner must have changed. The veal was served room temperature and did not have the unique flavor of the similar dish served at old location. Service was poor as I felt forgotten for most of the meal. I miss La Griglia.

Slow and unfriendly service. Food was average and the veal tartare appetizer tasted like chicken salad with mayonnaise and celery served on soggy potato chips and was not at all good. Extremely loud inside to the point that it was hard to carry on a conversation across a small table for two.

The new location of the restaurant is great and lots of parking and valet. The new look is beautiful. The restaurant was super noisy and very difficult to talk. We were seated immediately ( had reservations) and it took quite a while for anyone to bring us water and eventually the wine sommelier came over promoting some of the wines. We were not feeling wine so we asked about cocktails and he was very hesitant in bringing us that menu which is very limited and he noted that they are limited to what they can make and it was better for us to order wine ( seems a little pushy). We waiting almost an hour before we could get someone to bring us menus ( after asking and asking). Our food was good, not outstanding for being how expensive it was for what we ordered. We loved the menu and offerings at the old La Griglia. Not so much this one. Pretty restaurant , however no desire to return.

If you go skip the salads. The pastas and pizzas on other tables looked much better. Got the shaved fennel salad and added shrimp. Was just shaved fennel with 4 very tough/overcooked shrimp. The other person got the Cobb salad & it was loaded with bacon so if you’re trying to be healthy that’s not it. Loved the atmosphere on the patio. Service great there and at indoor bar. If you enjoy a carajillo it was the best I’ve had!

We enjoyed our night - dinner was delicious, restaurant very pretty and service was excellent. However, we did not appreciate the fact that y that we made a reservation to sit outside and they told us Open Table always overbooked - that it wasn’t their fault- but we would have to wait 40 minutes for an outside table!!! We almost left- but our other couple had driven very far and we just settled for a table inside. What are reservations for then?

This was our first time at the new LaGriglia. Always enjoyed it when they were on West Gray for years. The new restaurant is lovely and a little more upscale; however, it was extremely noisy such that we could barely hear one another talk at our table and we found the tables were very much on top of one another so much so that when wait staff went by to an adjacent table they constantly bumped one of our chairs, usually my wife’s. Prices were also significantly higher than the restaurant on West Gray. The wait staff from the very beginning showed absolutely no warmth or any welcoming feeling – it was all business and attempts to upsell on ordering from the water on. we ordered regular Houston tapwater but when our bill came there was a $9 charge for “panna” which turned out to be water. The staff person was very quick, when I asked what panna was, to say “I can take it off the bill if you like”. On a more Positive note the food was excellent - everyone of us enjoyed our dishes. in summary, while the food was excellent the restaurant was too noisy and the wait staff so indifferent that I’m not sure we will rush back.

First impressions came from the ambience and layout of the restaurant, which was aesthetically pleasing and had a great feel. Service was slow but I think the purpose of La Griglia is intended to create a more intimate, “take your time” sort of dining experience. Overall, with appetizers and entree, we were there for 2+ hours. I’m sure some people like that kind of experience, but I’d like to be in and out in 90 minutes or less. We had the antipasti, pork chop Gallagher, and ravioli. The antipasti was alright, would love to see some more roasted vegetables and spreads. The pork chop was slightly overcooked, but was tasty. The ravioli was simple, but fantastic. The pork chop, ravioli, antipasti, a ranch water, and glass of wine came out to $149 before tip - not a bad price for this kind of experience.

Lovely outdoor seating !! They have a real winner with this restaurant. The indoor bar areas is very elegant and spacious. I was there in the afternoon, it was quiet / not many ppl.

La Griglia never disappoints. You haven't lived until you've tried the Fresh Spun Ice Cream for the table. It's my favorite dessert in all of Houston.

I decided to give it another chance but unfortunately it seems that the place has lost its magic and is just another restaurant in Houston to go to; while the food still good the staff seems too busy and the menu options are less than the old place; we also noticed price increases
