    La Griglia is a superb ristorante located fairly close to downtown Houston. The locale is lovely and the dining room is beautifully appointed. My wife and I loved the food, which was beautifully served by an attentive and very congenial waitstaff. Lupe, in particular, was excellent. We truly appreciated his kindness. The food: excellent all the way around! Thank you for a memorable 58th wedding anniversary dinner. Sincerely, Tom and Andrea Jaber

    In Houston for IDDBA food show business trip. Exquisite cuisine, beautifully presented dishes & using excellent ingredients. Crab & Shrimp “cheesecake” slice made with Mascarpone was magnificent. Salads were first rate. Entrees of Veal & Pasta dishes were superb. One interesting & unfortunate experience. We had 5pm reservations, checked in & the host went to check our table. A white jacket waiter with a late shadow facial hair came toward us with a serious demeanor. Began to interrogate what we wanted, there would be no room in the dining room & would need to sit outside. We held our tongue. Would have departed if it wasn’t our arrival was via Uber & no other dinner plans. The host arrived & took us to our table. We should have spoken with management, but did not.

    Experience was great , service was great as well, the menu was a bit confusing but the waiter was more than happy to help.

    Positive: beautiful place and mushroom lasagna was dellicious. Negative: Many flies when seating outside.

    First time at the new location and I was fond of the W. Grey one. Decor and feel totally different as the waiters are in tuxes and there are lots of vintage pictures of Houston and Hollywood celebrities. Not the trattoria feel, but more upscale. Menu has many of the originals plus many new items. Overall it’s a very nice restaurant with good food and great service. Small picky point, but the old location had ample free parking as did Nino’s and Vincents that was previously in this spot. They are continuing the current trend at more places around Houston of 100% valet that is not complimentary ($7 here). I assume more of a safety concern.
