Horrible! My husband and I went there for our 35th wedding anniversary. Server came to the table and took our order. After that we never saw her again. No one came to check on us after we received our food and no one asked if we wanted any wine. We were going to order a bottle but was never asked. We literally had to stop another server to receive our check and only at that point did someone care to ask if there was a problem. What a shame. Our reservations were for 7:00pm but so was the rest of the entire restaurant. So many people afterwards that we spoke to stated the same experience. Don’t waste your money or time there!!

The food was good, but this is a very popular and over influenced area. You come here because you have seen it on social media, but in reality the place is cramped and you are sitting about 2 feet away from a stranger. The prices are expensive for the same quality of food elsewhere.

We booked 7 pm reservation and were promptly seated. Our server treated us to a complementary appetizer. We ordered the octopus and beef carpaccio. They were delicious. For dinner we had the steak Florentine, spinach, and asparagus followed by the apple tart and tiramisu…su…su. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was enchanting. We enjoyed it all!

It was a truly amazing experience. I feel like this experience made us feel like we were tasting the real food of Italy that goes beyond what tourists know. The kind of food that’s heartwarming, that has a history, that brings people together from all walks of life. A truly 11/10 experience.

4 years ago it was our favorite restaurant on a 10 day trip to Italy. Last week it was just ok. Still cool vibes and beautiful. Food was just fine.

Amazingly good. I have eaten at fine restaurants worldwide, and this was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish was surprising and rich. Highly recommend!

The ultimate tourist trap. It may have been a good eatery in the past but now it’s just a gimmicky place with just OK food.

Wow! Amazing ambience, generous extras, warm and welcoming service and top rated food! A crazy special experience in Florence for dinner! Can’t beat the special hole in the wall, non touristy location or the magical atmosphere!

Discovered this restaurant when I studied abroad in 2010 and have returned twice since. It never disappoints. From the cozy environment to the exquisite food to the amazing chef who actively engages with guests, it is one of my favorite spots in Florence. The straciatella with fig compote and honey is truly one of my favorite dishes in all of Italy.

Wonderful atmosphere and food! The wine was spectacular. Service was great! I did notice the owner only said hi to non-touristic guests, fyi. Just interesting! Very good overall!

The best meal we had in Italy! This was our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner and truly we will never forget it! The atmosphere was perfect and the staff was incredible! This is a must do when in Florence!

I booked this restaurant because of the praise it has online. I reserved a table well in advance in anticipation of it being fully booked. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. At the start, they were very attentive. The steak was ordered medium, but was prepared rare and cool. The pasta carbonara with white truffle was delicious. Cocktails were awesome as well. Apple tart for dessert was just okay, not anything special. I would say this is an above average restaurant in my experience. I was not particularly impressed, especially in the setting of the claims from food websites.

Incredible! Everything was amazing, but the pear ravioli was to die for. The owner and the staff were so kind and we really enjoyed the ambiance here.

The service was super polite and we were passing really quickly from one course to the other. They did not have still bottled water and the variety of wines served in glass was too limited (only 2). The food was well cooked and the raw materials of high quality. The interior decoration was really cozy however the tables are too close the one next to each other and the level of noise was not at the desired levels for dining (we couldn’t even hear the music).

Nice lively restaurant, but unfortunately the food does not live up to the hype. On the bright side we had good complimentary appetizers and a tasty spinach side dish. Cannot recommend the charcuterie board, the pappardelle with boar ragu, the veal ai limone, nor the tagliata with white truffles as they were either not prepared with quality ingredients, executed right, or both. Wine selection is great and we had a truly great bottle of wine. Go for the vibe, but if you expect great gastronomy you will be disappointed.

This is our go to restaurant in Florence, the food is excellent and the service is lovely. Unfortunately on this occasion I cannot give full marks as despite having a confirmed 7:30pm booking, the restaurant was overbooked. The staff were apologetic and gave us drinks, but we had to wait 45 minutes for a table. We were told the overbooking was due to a system error.
