Vegetables were undercooked and not very flavorful and the same for every entree ordered, Need some variation. Dishes which had garlic were “over - garlicked.” Excellent desserts.

Ate here at noon on a Friday. Hardly any customers so it was very quiet. We ordered 2 appetizers, 3 mains, 2 desserts. Everything was EXCELLENT!! Food was great, service was great, expensive for lunch but portions were dinner sized so we had leftovers. Will definitely come back.

One of the best dining experiences ever! We had a party of 10, and the restaurant was quiet and spacious. The interior decor was beautiful and the room was very cool and comfortable. There were two servers who were so attentive and friendly. Both servers gave us lots of tips and suggestions on what to order. Everything was quick: the appetizers, drinks, and entrees. Food and drinks were delicious. Our lunch started at noon and ended at 1:30. Overall, this restaurant is a 10/10

The space is beautiful. The service was speedy, attentive and friendly. The food is lacking. The calamari coating is very tasty but the calamari itself was tough and chewy. Husband had the orecchiette, a very confusing dish with too much bacon. I had the short rib on polenta, which was surprisingly bland. The portions are very generous. The wine list is good and well priced. But I don’t think we would go back.

We went to La Fontaine for a Birthday celebration. We were promptly seated and offered refreshments. Our appetizers were Soooooo delicious. We had a pistachio encrusted Goat cheese that made me cry it was so good.lol. The pasta is really their claim to fame…for a reason. The pasta was all hand made and the gnocchi was perfection, which is super hard to be this pillowy and delicious. I was impressed from beginning to end. Definitely will be going back.

The menu has great choices in every category. It’s difficult not to find something you like. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions you receive. We brought friends there yesterday and everyone was pleased.

Nice place for a dinner date, but ask for a table towards the back to not be too close to the live music. The live music was great though. Menu options are very good. Service is also very good, but delivery to table could have been better.

Came in for Valentines day pre-fixe. Options were wide ranging and overall decent, Entrees were a bit a disappointment being on the bland side but the Limoncello dessert was quite nice. Service for the night was the key point dragging it down, I understand Valentines day is a busy day for the restaurant but it felt too unorganized. It took an hour and a half to get our water refilled and the server with the water filled a table leaving with water and not ours despite having glasses empty for a while, 40 minutes to get salads to the table after our starters... SALADS. My girlfriend noted that other tables got complementary bread brought out and we had to ask for ours after our starters since the salads took so long. Entrees came after another 45 minutes post our salad, and we watched 3 tables seated after us getting their entrees before us. ( I believe the server forgot about our food and it was just sitting out... our cordon blue's cream sauce had a film on it having sat under their heat lamps for too long). We were offered food 5 times that wasn't ours and the same food runner kept on auctioning off the food to multiple tables not knowing where it was supposed to go. I understand it's busy but for the money being spent we expected more from service. We went to another bar for the rest of our drinks that evening since we weren't too satisfied with our experience there.

We have been to La Fontaine previously, but this time we went for a Valentine's Day dinner where they had a special 4 course menu with options for each course. La Fontaine is a terrific restaurant. Very high quality food, good service (they are really good about a proper spacing of the various courses so you can really enjoy the food without feeling rushed as in many restaurants). It is certainly one of the best places in the Walnut Creek restaurant scene, if not the best for high quality dining. When we were there several months ago, it was very quiet--a modest number of diners. So, it was great to see a full house for the whole evening on Valentine's day. Hopefully many of these people will be repeat diners and support them as they work to establish themselves in the Walnut Creek area (they are already well know in the South Bay).

Excellent service, very attentive waitpersons plus a bonus of 2 musicians made the experience even more delightful. I ordered the soup of the day, which was really good but could have spiced it up a bit. My main course, meatball and pasta. It was very good but next time, there are many other menu selections more tantalizing. My wife had risotto with shrimp. I had to stop her from licking the plate!! But the best part of the meal was the lemoncello gelato desert. I could have eaten the desert for my main course. Also has a good selection of Italian red wines.

Excellent waiter and very knowledgeable, great suggestions from appetizers to desserts. Pistachio crusted goat cheese on top of caramelized onions was amazing. Special lobster ravioli with pancetta incredible. Duck breast with cherries also delicious. Ended with panna cotta and grappa. Overall excellent meal and it’s been a while since we’ve left a restaurant completely satisfied by every aspect.

The food and service is always excellent, and last night was no exception. On weekend nights a little live background music livens things up too. Chef Hassan takes extra care to ensure a special occasion is a memorable one. This is on our go-to places every few months.

Great ambiance and beautiful layout. The staff were super attentive and accommodated our party, allowing us to remain in the restaurant even after closure of lunch service. We enjoyed the brushetta and calamari for our shared appetizer and shared our main dishes, pasta, chicken, and salmon. D We will definitely be back with a larger party.

We selected La fontaine aferter a search on Open Table for great foo and good ambiance. La Fontaine was all of those. We were celebrating my husbands birthday so a spcial restaurant was in order. The special Brusetta Appetizer was incredible with burrat chees and prosciutto. Our Beet salads were exelletn with greens, goat cheese, aliced almonds and a light lemony dressing. For our main course my husband selected Beef Wellington that he said he could cut with a butter knife. I had their housemade Peppardelle with Prawns i a tomato broth that was delicious. For desset we share a Profierole made with vanilla gelato and chocolate sauce that was outstanding. Our server was Michaela who was delightful, helpful and mixed a mean cosmopolitatan. It was a perfect evening.
