Things started great! We had some delicious first plates and drinks. However, at some point our dinner order got lost, and the way it was handled by the staff was embarrassing and borderline comical if it had been such an inconvenience. The food was delicious, but clearly, finding reasonable restaurant staff in an area the is so unaffordable is having a lasting negative effect of what could be a great restaurant.

all of our dishes (5 of us) were delicious. Notable were the mushroom empanadas, lava cake churros. we appreciate the attentive service.

My husband and I discovered Costanera because we wanted to try something different and thought a drive to the coast would be fun. What a treat we found in this gem! We ate on the second floor and had a wonderful view of the harbor. The tables were well spaced, so even though it was busy, it didn't feel crowded or loud. We weren't familiar with Peruvian food, but the server took time to orient us to the menu. When I asked about gluten free options she brought me a gluten free menu! When does that ever happen? It was gluten free on one side and vegetarian on the other. I had an amazing salmon dish that was so well prepared and flavorful. My husband had the steak tenderloin which he found to be tender and flavorful as well. We topped it off with the flourless chocolate cake. We left that night knowing we had found a new favorite. It was truly the best dinner I have had in awhile!

We had eaten here last year and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. We were seated immediately for our 6:30 reservation But it was 40 minutes from seating before we were acknowledged by anyone and at that point we actually had to ask for water. Another hour later our appetizers arrived, and it was almost 2 hours from the time we were seated before our entrees arrived. A table of 8 was seated after us and received their appetizers and entrees before we were served any food. The food might have been good but it's hard to enjoy it under neglectful service. We don't plan to return.

They recently expanded their vegetarian options, which is great for me. All very delish! One if the best restaurants here on the Coastside

Loved this place. Lived here for 4 years and can’t believe I finally tried it. food was amazing and service was superb! Drinks was delicious! Will be back with more friends. highly highly recommend this restaurant.

I love the food even the portion are just right, not overwhelming. Guaranteed fresh. The ambiance and the vibe of the location feels like you want to just seat and enjoy the scenery.

La Costanera has a wonderfully varied menu. We enjoyed the empanadas, ceviche, Peruvian fried rice, and the quinoa salad. The churros for dessert were great. The service was attentive. There was live music, and the singer and guitar player provided entertainment with at a pleasant decibel level.
