La Bistro Italian Restaurant, in Hurst has been serving fine cuisine with passion and knowhow in its elegant and inviting eatery for 38 years! For a delicious start to your meal, enjoy the Maryland Blue Crab Cakes or Charcuterie Board. Homemade pastas, such as the 16 layer baked lasagna or the fettuccine primavera with spring veggies in a creamy sauce and the pan-seared Chilean Sea Bass are some of the diners’ favorite meals. La Bistro Italian Restaurant’s house specialties include the chicken La Bistro with portobello mushrooms and shallots in a brandy dill sauce, the veal Jerusalem sautéed with artichoke hearts and fresh garlic and the filet mignon madeira in a luscious wine and mushroom sauce. La Bistro is one of a small handful of restaurants in the DFW area that dry-ages it's beef in-house. For a great ending the homemade cannoli, filled with sweet ricotta cheese and topped with chocolate sauce, makes an ideal dessert.

    Really like this restaurant for its food, service and decor. The piano player is a huge plus for the atmosphere! Patrons are older which surprised us and I wish they would not allow super casual dress especially for men… ruins the higher end atmosphere

    The Parmesan and the sea bass specials, steak on the rock, and chicken Marsala were all excellent for party of 6. Waiter Stefan was on top of his game and is very personable. We’ve been customers here for some 30 years. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    We had a reservation for a party of 2 at 7:30 and weren't seated until 8:30. The restaurant appeared to overbook and continue to accept phone in reservations without checking on the OpenTable reservations. They also had a prefixed menu without openly advertising that. I understand that today is considered a holiday but we chose the restaurant mainly because they didn't appear to have a prefixed menu. Overall unhappy with the service but the food was very good.

    Personally, I would not book here again, especially for VDay. I'm not quite sure what happened, but my wife and I had reservations for 730pm. We did not get seated until 9pm a whole 1.5 hours after our reservation time. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that some things were out of their control, but accepting too many reservations is certainly in their control. Once seated, we attempted to order from the $79.95 per person prix fix menu, but the appetizer we wanted was sold out, so we had to settle for something that we did not want, which in my opinion, should not happen on prix fix menus. We got the rest of our dinner and took the dessert to go as we had already been out later than expected. We informed the manager of our sentiments and headed out. The atmosphere is nice but food wise, nothing special, definitely had better at other spots. Hope this was just a one-time situation for everyone elses sake.
