La Bamba boasts 2,000-square-foot, vintage lighting and orange crushed velvet swivel chairs from Becerra’s grandmother’s home, a menu banking on the south-of-the-border classics that defined his childhood, and custom speakers whispering jazzy, soulful, sometimes reggae sweet nothings.

La Bamba Room, whose namesake is partially inspired by a 1987 musical drama, will mostly play vinyl with assistance from a custom-made jukebox and a DJ booth made from salvaged pieces from grandma’s home bar.

    Too loud and the bar seating was uncomfortable. We left before ordering anything. We really wanted Salud next door but they were closed. This spot would be good for folks who don’t really want to have a conversation, happy to shout over the music and vibe in a club like spot. Not for us tho!

    Great Spot! Love the decor. Just walking through the gold gate was already a vibe. Ms. Bre the hostess / waitress was non stop! Incredible service and very polite. My table was ready soon as I arrived! Food and drinks came out quickly. I try the empanadas/ Tacos de beef and the olives! Good portions- can definitely share and it was all very tasty!!! Def would go back for drinks and appetizers. The MUSIC !!! They took it back- was jamming !!! great great music!!!

    This place is amazing! The food was delicious and the drinks were incredible. The drink menu is extensive and fun to explore. The glossary that helps tell the establishments story was really cool too.

    Highly recommend. The drinks are great and so is the music. The whole space is such a gorgeous tribute to the owner’s culture and family, it’s comforting.

    Perfect place to meet and catch up with friends. Cocktails were amazing and the history behind them really gives it a special touch. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall great experience. I recommend making a reservation
