At the locally famous Kyoto's we offer the full experience of having your meal prepared table-side with our Hibachi Chefs. You can expect an intimate ambiance with dimmed down lighting, the occasional fire flare from our Hibachi tables, and lots of laughter during your dining experience. The chefs are very entertaining with decades of experience in cooking and showmanship. The show consists of professional Chefs displaying expert spatula and knife handling while preparing perfectly cooked steak, seafood, and chicken dishes. The show also consists of flambe, flaming onions, spatula-egg juggling, and of course our famous shrimp toss where guests are part of the show and catch shrimp with their chefs. Similar to others ive been too. Guess was spoiled at Samurais in washington. Flavor ok. Service and staff though Excellent

If you want an inviting experience for Hibachi then definitely come here. We took my mom here for her birthday with our kids and they all loved it. Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was great.

The chef was awesome and the hostess was friendly and helpful. We did have to wait for a little while waiting for others to come to our table, but during a busy time, you would have thought it was easier, but after waiting, we had 2 empty spots at our table that other walk-ins could have used. I’m glad we didn’t wait too long though.

We took our 2 grandchildren out for a special dinner. Eating at Kyoto was a great experience. The food was great. I had a sushi appetizer called Loaded Nigiri which was delicious. The chef was very good and we all really enjoyed the entertainment incorporated into the cooking of our food. It was a fantastic experience. It was noisy but that should probably be expected in this type of restaurant.

Our family's first time ever with hibachi was a hit! Our picky eater gobbled up his tempura chicken with fries and teriyaki sauce and we all LOVED the yakisoba noodles--definitely worth the extra upgrade! Due to the nature of the cooking and seating, a conversation with further than two people over is a challenge but the overall experience is a "do-over" for us and our 7, 9 and 14 year old boys!

Great place to eat, they were busy, but that’s to be expected on a Saturday night. Make sure to make a reservation. Food was delicious, the entertainment (our chef) was great. I highly recommend checking this place out if you get the chance!

The food is great. Chefs are entertaining and I had a great experience all around. The waiter was a little slow on bringing the check but all in all it was worth it.

Chef did not cook steak to one person's preference at the table and sadly, the mustard sauce has been replaced. Seafood is not kept separate from the other items cooking, so if you have issues with seafood, this can be a serious issue. It has really changed for the worse, food wise, since they reopened after the remodel and ownership change.

Hi LongTimePatron, our chefs do cook steak to preference, and if they do make any mistakes we will gladly remedy it on the spot. The mustard sauce is still available, it is available upon request. It was not a widely used sauce from our customers so we decided to bring in Yum Yum sauce but still have hot mustard on request. Seafood is not kept separate unless a customer at the table lets us know they have a shellfish allergy. You are always welcome to speak to our servers, chefs, and managers about any concerns and will always address them.

We were seated by the front door so every time the door shut it was fairly loud. However, the food was excellent and our server was amazing.

The hubby and I had a date night and I wanted to try somewhere new. He hasn’t been there in a very long time and I had never been, so we went! I was able to get a reservation the same day and was seated within 5 minutes of getting there. Our hibachi chef was super funny and really nice and our waitress was on top of it! The food was soooooo delicious! The hubby and I both had lobster and scallops and we shared the ninja potstickers, spicy, to start. A bit more spendy than other hibachi restaurants in the valley, but worth it. We are totally coming back. Might just have to make this my birthday dinner in a month.

Ever since the remodeling the prices are more than doubled but the portions are twice as much SMALLER. We as a family have eaten there many time before the remodeling but never again. Not worth the money at ALL.

Hi Jeff, our prices have actually not doubled since the remodel. They have increased with the cost of food that has increased drastically since 2020 due to Covid and supply chain issues. They have not rebounded back yet, and when they do, our menu will reflect pricing decreases. Food portions have also remained the same but actually have increased across the board. I understand the concern of cost, but we have to remain competitive to be able to afford the (well earned) wages for our chefs and supporting staff. I am sorry you feel that this is not worth it for you, but i assure you that we provide the value of service, food quality, and showmanship with our chefs that are deserving of the price point. Thank you for your review and we do hope you find it in your heart to visit us again.

When in ROME or when in Boise? This is still the BEST sushi/hibachi in the valley. The chefs down to the wait staff were and are incredible. They exemplify TEAMWORK. We had one waitress work with us in a SUPERB fashion and the other wait staff were always around for refills, pick up our trays, and "Is there anything we can get you?" They are still our GOTO sushi/hibachi lunch/dinner locations in the valley. Excellent work and as always delicious meals. Thank you all and keep up the great work and service. Gabe and Family

The Chefs are extremely talented. This Teppanyaki show was by far, the best we have ever experienced. The food was delicious and the portions made for an excellent value. I would highly recommend Kyoto Sushi & Japanese Steakhouse. This is also a fabulous place for out of town guests and special occasions.

Reservations was on time, table was right in front of kitchen. The lighting was terrible couldn’t read menu well. The sushi rolls were over priced our chef was super nice and food was yummy however for amount of food I felt prices were a little high. Our chef super funny and nice and waitress was very friendly and never had to wait for refills or check she was on it I would be back but it is a once or twice a year expense for us

I celebrated my 40th birthday with 20 of my best friends at Kyoto and it was fantastic. Especially for such a large party, they were very accommodating. Very fast service, great experience with the hibachi, and the food was amazing. I had the Spicy Johnny (my favorite sushi roll of all time), the yellow fine nigiri and the lobster and scallop hibachi. Everything was perfect 👌.

Been to many other hibachi restaurants and this one is definitely worth more visits. To comment about the lower star reviews of Kyoto, remember not everyone is perfect every time and perspective is subjective. Definitely recommend and going back.

Our steak once again was undercooked and prices seemed to have increased. Sometimes our waiter offers our kid soup and salad and other times they dont, it depends who you get.

We had such a special occasion and Jocelyn was our server and I didn't quite catch our chefs name. The show was spectacular and the food next level! Make sure to try the sauces they bring with your food! Also had a suchi roll and it was excellent! Will be taking the family back every chance we get!
