Plant based Omakase Sushi restraurant in West La featuring Executive Chef Dillon Bolin and Head Chef Pearl Steffie.

Signature dishes include our Avocado Crispy Rice, Maitake Wontons in Spicy Garlic, our Torched Miso Eggplant Nigiri and Torched Tuna Nigiri made from peas.

Minimalist beautifully designed restaurant with a 87 year old bonsai in the middle. We offer Omakase and al carte dining. Hidden gem with a speakeasy style type of location, serving beer, wine and cocktails.

Fan favorite is our Shishito Burger, named one of the best vegan burgers in town. While plant based, Kusaki and the dishes we serve mimics and tastes like real high end sushi. Art, redefined as food.

Unbelievably great restaurant - with the most crave level Japanese plant based food. Don’t need to be a vegetarian to want to come here weekly!

Everything we tried was delicious. We started by splitting the sliders. The shishito pepper was a lovely touch and the buns were absolutely amazing. We also tried the Maitake Wontons -- chili garlic sauce has a little heat on the back end but won't wipe you out even if you're spicy-sensitive. Tried the Salmon nigiri and my friend had the pepper nigiri (I can't remember the exact name). Both EXCELLENT -- pepper one was mild pepper (like roasted bells or something -- not HOT peppers). And then we topped it off with the DRAGON ROLL.

Really good food. People have an impression of not wanting plant based food because it “doesn’t taste the same.” This food is better than 1/2 of all the sushi restaurants in LA. Period.

Food was excellent. My favorite dish we had that night was the crunchy crab roll, very reminiscent of a tempura california roll. Other notable dishes include the tempura mushrooms and the nigiri. Generally--I think the menu has alot of repeating dishes/flavors, lots of yuzu and yuzu kosho. Some of the dishes we ordered ended up tasting the same. The dessert we wanted to try was out of stock. The dessert we ended up having (the miso brownie) was not a good value, small brownie with sauce and garnish for $17. The food is delicious, however just be mindful about what you order so that you have a good variety of dishes. Service was clunky and sloppy. Long wait times, forgotten dishes, received the wrong dishes, server forgetting to fire our ticket, clumsiness/spilling things. They've only reopened for a few months, so I hope they can continue to work out their service issues. The food here is a 5/5 and definitely worth the visit.

Food is great but we didn’t know you can only get omakase at the bar and that’s what we went for. Don’t believe this info was on the website. Regardless, we enjoyed the food and ambiance is great except for very inadequate lighting which makes it hard to read the menu which is very faint in the color and small writing. Service was good, friendly staff.

Loved it! Some dishes were a little salty and wish there was more vegan protein on the menu but otherwise 5 star across the board.
