We had a reservation for 1:30 pm. We were told food was slow. Which is typically ok. After being there 90 min food had not even been started. It was Mother’s Day and unfortunately we had an unruly child and had to cancel food. For 4 drinks, a soda and a roll it was $98.

Waited 2 1/2 hours for our food, shrimp was not fully cooked, after complaining to the employee at front desk, she said”well everyone has had to wait 2 1/2 hours” which wasn’t the point. Never again, with their nasty unseasoned food.

We were excited to dine here for Mother’s Day. We were seated right at 12pm (our reservation time), but the server left for a while and we were able to order with him around 12:30. We couldn’t modify anything, and our food didn’t come out until 1:45pm. Our server barely checked back with us until closer to 1:15/1:30, and our two little kids were getting fussy as they were so hungry. No managers stopped at our table and we weren’t offered a discount for the wait. Our server was being very nice and overly positive as we got closer to getting our food and for the rest of our time there, but it was the longest I’ve ever waited for food at a restaurant. The food was thankfully very good, but I don’t think we’ll be going back anytime soon. Also, I think the slowness was an issue across the restaurant. But it had cleared out a lot by 1:30pm. Also, a table that got seater after us, received their food quite a while before us.

My family was visiting for the weekend to celebrate my college graduation and Mother’s Day, so I thought it’d be nice to book us a brunch reservation. We arrived early to our reservation and were seated right away by friendly hosts and had a very kind server. They were out of Coca Cola and the frother for lattes was broken. We ordered appetizers and kids meals shortly after receiving our drinks, and then waited an entire hour for those to come out. The restaurant was not full at all, and there was a full staff so there’s not many excuses for the food to have taken an hour to come out. When it did come out, it was very cold and we could tell it had been sitting for a while. About a half an hour later, we received our entrees which were all either cold, or over cooked from sitting in the window too long. Overall, the food was not very good and definitely not worth the price. Our server was sweet, but it was frustrating to see tables who arrived at the same time as us eating before us and leaving before we even got any of our food. Looking into the kitchen, it was obvious that there were some organization issues with the expo team and they were struggling to keep up with orders. I was really looking forward to this brunch and having a good time with my family, but this was significantly disappointing and I don’t plan to return any time soon.

Honestly, the worst brunch experience I’ve ever had. It was so disappointing to spend our Mother’s Day brunch eating cold, unseasoned food from a menu selection of only 6 options (5 if you have shellfish allergies). They made it clear that NO substitutions were allowed which makes me think it was all pre-made. I can get that at McDonalds. No mimosas on the menu and no juices on the menu. We asked for orange juice and it was served over ice? Which was weird and not a good experience. When I asked for my meal to be heated up, the server simply asked me “how long would you like it microwaved?” rather than showing concern over the fact that I wanted it microwaved. 0/10 would not recommend to anyone. It is a shame that our bad meal cost $21 each.

I was in for Mothers day brunch and usually do not go out to brunch on Mothers day since it is difficult to go out with a toddler. I was excited because I knew Kona was doing a Mothers day special. Our waitress was super nice. Originally was charged 17 per drink (got two) for the rose drink but since there was a mothers day special, it was $7.99. As we were leaving there were buckets of roses. I noticed as people were coming in and being seated, they had roses in their hands. I never was given a rose so I felt kinda sad that everyone was offered but me and I had my husband and daughter with me.

Great menu and service as usual. We really enjoyed the happy hour food and drink options. We celebrated my birthday and appreciated the carrot cake. It was one of the best carrot cakes I've ever had.

Worst eating experience we have had for a long time. Service was slow and confusing, food was overcooked and not tender at all - and everything was overpriced. This place has the potentiel to be good but just isn’t.

Menu was quite limited. Food was a little below average in size and quality. We spent over $150 (two people) and still had to go grab some food somewhere else afterwards. It’s not value for money at all.

We had high hopes for Kona, but unfortunately we will not be returning. Waitress forgot what drinks we wanted and food came out barely warm. We were highly disappointed. No one ever came back to refill drinks.

Had an amazing time dining at Kona. Our server, Mikki, was absolutely outstanding. She was attentive, lively and funny. Her knowledge of the menu was astonishing and she helped guide me to the Sweet Chili Glazed Salmon - which was DELICIOUS. (I will definitely be back to try some of her other recommendations.) Shelby the bartender makes some killer drinks and the Emily, the manager on duty made sure to check on us a few times to make sure everything was going well. Will definitely be coming back.

First time at Kona Grill. The restaurant wasn’t busy so we were seated immediately. Our server Hong was very attentive and friendly. Our food was tasty and I enjoyed the wine that Hong recommended. Don’t skip the chocolate lava cake! Thanks for your hospitality. Looking forward to another meal soon.

We ordered the Kona Loco. It was so salty, we could hardly eat it. And it was $25! Nothing like you get on the big island of Hawaii! NEVER order this!

Food was grossly overpriced for what we received, both in terms of portion size and quality. I couldn’t believe how little food was on our plates. We could have went to a much more upscale restaurant and we would have paid less. I had the sea bass and my wife had the stir fry. We had an early dinner and it was incredibly loud for that time (5:30).

We are never disappointed when we eat here. The food portions are more than generous, the waitresses are very good at describing the way the meals are prepared and the deserts are large enough to share and are "over the top" delicious!

Poor timing of delivering the appetizer and entree at the same time. When I finished eating my appetizer, the entree was cold. My entree was also not as cooked as requested. I asked for my meat to be medium well and it was clearly way under. I’d try another location, but wouldn’t return to this specific Kona Grill.

Such a disappointment! We took another couple out for dinner, and were embarrassed by the entire experience. A Manhattan could not be made by the bartender, because they had NO VERMOUTH! The server seems confused about the menu, and unfortunately his service was not good. The prime rib (ordered medium rare) came out medium well at best. We asked for a quiet section, and that became the family with children area. We left earlier than planned because conversation was difficult over the noise. We've been to Kona Grill several times before, but NEVER AGAIN!

Food wasn't on par as on past experiences. Our waitress and the on duty manager made it right but the long wait to reorder wasn't worth it so more free bread to fill us up. I'd expect the kitchen to quality check the food better considering the amount of money Kona charges.
