    Overpriced waste of time! Mother's day was memorial this year, but for the wrong reason. We booked a reservation for 7:30. Our drinks took 1/2 hour to arrive along with a bland bowl of edamame, our food took 2 hours. When it finally came, my Mom's steak didn't and was told it "dropped" and when cut into was well done. (She ordered medium) they quickly brought out a complimentary steak, but again well done and dried out. (Hopefully not the "dropped" one) My sushi was underwhelming. We had to remind the waitress to remove the steak from the bill at the end. The restaurant could use a good cleaning and definitely better management. I should have believed the other poor reviews. Will not be returning.

    We had a poor experience with KG last night. First of all, our 7 pm reservation was not honored and we did not get a table until about 7:30 pm. Second, our chairs were dirty and we had no silverware on the table. Third, it took 20 minutes to get appetizers and another 40 minutes to receive our entrees. We had to ask for utelsils and our server, Cody, just put 6 sets on the table in a large pile. We all looked at each other is like is he for real. Our dishes and glasses were never removed from the table, so I personally bused the table. Three hostesses watched, our server was overworked (but very kind and trying to accommodate), the manager was friendly and tried to assist but I think he needs to find a new job. KG won't last more than a year with their poor food and service akin to an Applebees. We ordered 2 kids meals, 2 sushi rolls, 1 salmon entree, and 1 pasta dish. The sushi rolls were poor. The sushi was not fresh and tasted worse than that in Kroger or Giant Eagle. We were offered a round of drinks and dessert. We inquired how long dessert would take, and were told 20 minutes. For a piece of cake, that's a joke so we passed. We paid the bill ($50 credit for cocktails was provided). We provided a 15% tip because our server Cody tried to accommodate the calamity of our experience. We were also given $15 gift card which I will not be using.

    Busy for Mother's day but kitchen was clearly unorganized. Food came out after an hour and a half and based on food temps (cold to warm) had been done at different times and sat for awhile. The food was just ok. Our server was the only good thing about the night.

    We had a reservation and waited almost 2 hours to be sat then we waited another 1 1/2 for food and the food came out luke warm. It was a very disappointing Mother’s Day ! I expected it to be packed but I didn’t expect it expect for the extremely long wait when we made a reservation nor did I expect the food to be luke warm!

    Booking/reservation system apparently broken at corporate level. Made reservation, but wasn't able to be seated until 1 hr after reservation time. Kitchen then also backed up due to overbooking. One hour wait for food after being seated. Server and manager were both amazing, but current booking/reservation system discourages me from ever wanting to come back.

    We made a reservation for 5:30, arrived on time, only to be told they were overbooked and we would have to wait 30-40 minutes for our reserved table. I thought the entire premise of a reservation was to avoid a wait upon arrival? We were seated 30-40 minutes after our reservation time. The flowers were removed from our table and placed on a different table. Some tables had these (identical fresh flower arrangements) and a few did not. We were offered water and drinks, and were told by our server that it would take 60-90 minutes to get our food after we placed our order. “Apple Bottom Jeans” and other similar music was their choice for appropriate dinner music. It was extremely loud on the main floor, we did not go upstairs. Our drinks were refreshed one time in nearly three hours. There seemed to be quite a few empty tables, and many people waiting in the very small entry/exit area. Staff was milling around everywhere or talking to one another, and there seemed to be a lot of noise and activity in the kitchen but most of the tables did not have their food while we were there (either). It took 90 minutes to get our warm (not hot) food. Despite being only warm, our food looked and tasted good. We did enjoy the food but not much else about our evening. We ate in 20 minutes, no dessert, paid, and left. I realize that they were busier than usual because of the holiday but it really was not a good experience and I doubt that we will return.

    Ruined Mothers Day evening! First time visiting this restaurant. We had a reservation for 5pm. Seating was running behind as they allow for too many reservations but we were finally sat on the patio. Once we were sat, the waitress explained that the kitchen had been very behind all day but had finally caught up. We ordered drinks and appetizers to get started, then put our meal orders in. Drinks came out right away but no food. About 45 minutes in, we still had not received any food. At that point a group of people walked past us on their way out and explained that they had been there for 3 hours and never got any food. When the server came over we asked her about this and she said, “that wasn’t in my section”. We asked where our appetizers were and she said they’d be out shortly. We waited another 30 minutes (now over an hour in) and still no food. Plates of sushi had been sitting out on the kitchen counter for at least 30 minutes (really hope no one got sick from spoiled fish). We told the server we were not happy and she went to talk to the manager. When she came back, she could not give us an ETA on the appetizers let alone the meals. We got up and left at that point. Extremely disappointed. One of the worst managed restaurants I’ve been to. The manager was too busy socializing with the employees and hanging out in the party room and never came over to apologize or ask how he could rectify the situation. He should have been helping in the kitchen since clearly they were short on staff. Can’t comment on the food since we never ate. Based on the prices, this should have been a far better experience. Would have done better at Applebees.

    I had reservations at 3:30 pm on Mother’s Day, we got are table at 4:10, we order are food 5:30 still didn’t have are food 6 still no food, we said we was going to leave and they gave our food away, I’m very disappointed with the service, they was overbooked and understaffed.I would not recommend going on a special occasion.

    I have been to the Kona Grill several times before today. I was beyond disappointed today and so is the party I was with. Our reservation was at 2:30, we receded at 3:20 and obviously overbooked and said so by the corporate world This is not a way to keep your customers happy The food did not come till almost 4:30 and was lukewarm I have no complaints with our server, she did the best she could with what they had going on This is not the way to celebrate a holiday. I am not sure that I will return to this restaurant as we were offered no compensation or no apologies and a manager never approached our table Corporate should not allow restaurant to be this overbooked. I also saw people sitting at tables and they waited so long. I watch them get up and leave before they got their food or ordered. I did watch people approach and complaints.
