Located in the Deep Ellum neighborhood, Komodo Dallas features an ultra-contemporary exterior facade that gives way to an inviting indoor-outdoor flow. The restaurant takes visual cues from its homebase, including Komodo’s signature illuminated “bamboo” cutout columns and duck display windows. From there, pops of saturated color are added, such as with the lounge’s eye-catching wallpaper and a dramatic fabric-draped corridor. Komodo Dallas spans two stories and seats up to 274 diners across tabletop, booth and bar seats.

Komodo Dallas’ menu offers delicious takes on Southeast Asian dishes, all of which have been developed and interpreted with a global approach. The result is a unique dining experience, ranging from regularly rotating specials to house favorites such as Salmon Tacos, Miso Chilean Seabass Skewers, Peking Duck, and Daring Plant Based Kung Pao Chicken. A full sushi bar is also included, while bespoke custom cocktails deliver lively and exclusive beverage options.

I liked the idea of buffet brunch with live music or live DJ on Sundays; however, the food quality did not meet the expectation. The quality of crab legs, crab claws, shrimps was bad.

The server knew the best dishes he was very knowledgeable on menu very energetic and happy it was a pleasure to talk to him he noticed little things like my glass is getting low on wine and he had a sense of humor about it! Great experience overall and we would like to come back and bring our adult kids with us. Thank you!

I have come several times, I love this place, everything is always exquisite, the food is always delicious, the tacos, the A5 meat, the fried rice, everything is very good.

Had an amazing time with my wife! We went for our 3 year anniversary. We went on a Tuesday evening so it wasn’t a lot of people there. The service was great and the food was amazing!

Service was not good. Server took a while to get us drink order and never checked if we wanted more drinks til I asked for more. Took time to then ask for our appetizers and main courses. Presentation for omakase platter was nice but not really good service overall. The storm made the place not so busy so wasn’t sure why it took so long to get service and was a birthday celebration and didn’t do anything for her birthday either or ask for desert

After checking in for my reservation, the wait for my table was a bit longer than desired. The servers and staff were great. The ambiance was nice. The signature dish, the Peking duck, left much to be desired. The skin was crisp but there was no flavor. The dishes I had were savory and flavorful.

This was my second visit to Komodo. My first visit was not long after the initial opening and was a great experience. Since then the menu has changed a bit, so I got to try the Peking Duck. It is good, but standard. The Korean Fried Chicken is tasty as well. The drinks were decent. Overall, the meal was not remarkable -- especially at the price point. We visited shortly after the restaurant opened for the business day, so things were slow. I'm sure the atmosphere is more enjoyable when there are more patrons inside.

I previously had the surf and turf fried rice and it was AMAZING. Flavorful, expensive, but absolutely delicious. The portion size was enough for me have have 3 servings which made the $45 price tag worth it. But the price is lower and the taste left with it. I don’t know what you did but the me is isn’t robust enough for me to come back. Offering one green vegetable is insane. Beautiful restaurant, fantastic service, but the menu needs a little work. The filet is incredible and worth the price.

We had the money bag dumplings, lobster dynamite, and ribs for our appetizers. They were all delicious. Then, we split the half Peking duck and the king crab lo mein. I like my duck skin a bit crispier but it was so good regardless. The lo mein flavor was intense and I wanted to eat all of it but had to share. And I usually don’t care too much for lo mein. The hostess, server, and other supporting folks were so nice and welcoming.

I had a OK experience, the waiter did forget drinks a few times, he also took all our eating utensils after appetizers and forgot to bring more for our main course so we sat there for 10min without anything to eat with. Music was good

Incredible service. Beautiful restaurant. 3 out of 10 on duck. Rest dishes about 5/10. Our waitress was awesome ! Parking dreadful. Too bad.

The location is lovely but the seats are small and uncomfortable, the food are overpriced esp the Korean fried chicken that was soggy and heavily breaded ,the spicy tuna was okay , the fried rice was a bit soggy and tasteless and to top it off the Korean beef jerky let me just keep quiet because that was terrible ..!!! Who made that ????? Nah I missed the days of good food and comfort in a restaurant .!!!!

I think the tipping %s should be clearly displayed not the server on default presenting between 20% to 24% which I think aww fee the highest. This is what my server did.

Really uncomfortable seating. Took 9 min to be greeted and sat with CC on table after check dropped for 14 min! Staff all over but no one actually watching service

One of my favorite places!!!! The customer service was amazing. Our server was so sweet. The food was great. We got two orders of the steak tacos, crab lo mein, whole branzino, veggie fried rice, and the shrimp! With the east meets west drinks.

It was an amazing time. I enjoyed my 30th birthday. Gabriel is a phenomenal server. His suggestions were spot on and the food food was amazing.

It's a really cute place. The staff was very friendly. The food was good. I was not a fan of the drinks, but overall enjoyed myself. It would be nice to know the date and times that they have entertainment.

Great experience. Service was good. Nice view. Music makes it a nice ambiance. Not too loud. Pikachu was tasty but lots of ice. I ended up buying the cup (yes you can!). Food was very good but kinda smaller portions. Will definitely try Komodo Miami next.

While the place itself it’s very nice with good music, the food is overpriced and overrated, service does not pay attention to details and failed to bring items we requested from the menu multiple times. Very disappointing experience, we won’t be back.

My wife and I went to Komodo for our New Years Eve wedding anniversary. We were sat in the back of the restaurant by the wait stand in a corner. Even though we noted on reservation it was our anniversary. Food was excellent and the ambiance was amazing. However, our server was in the weeds. She barley came by and when I ordered an Old fashion it came out as whiskey and that’s it. But it took 30 Minutes to get the drink even though it took us telling her three times we didn’t have our drinks. She continually said the drink runner should have brought it. Well we never saw anyone else through our Mel other than rushed food runners. That looked upset when we asked for plates, silverware, napkins etc. We had no drinks through our meal unless my wife and I shared a whiskey. Which was awful and hot. She finally came out briefly and I told her the drink was incorrect. Then she said she would take it off bill. She didn’t even ask if we wanted to replace it. By the time we saw her again we had enough of the terrible service and I had set my credit card on the table for almost 20-25 minutes. My wife and I hung out at the bar and ordered another drink with same whiskey and an old fashion before we left. We still wanted to enjoy our evening. The price of the drinks were vastly different as well. One at the beginning of the night was $48 but at the bar it was $18 with the exact same brand and drink. Moreover she filled our sparkling water with tap water. Furthermore, the menu prices were EXPENSIVE. I could have gone to any fine steak house in Dallas for better prices and service. This place for the location and prices has to do better. We will give it another try but we expect more from a high end lounge/restaurant.

Excellent evening but I hate upselling bcuz I know what I want and its not my first time at Komodo…waiter was great until he realized I was not ordering alcoholic drinks…and then I felt the disconnect…and I still dropped a good amount of money on dinner…waiters need to stay engaged with party no matter what or ur not called to be a waiter
