Island inspired, music city infused. Kokomo Trading Company is a fusion of delicious chef-created cuisine, extraordinary beverages, and exceptional live music. Familiar and exotic flavors that satisfy and immerse our guests in an atmosphere of warmth, relaxation, adventure and the Spirit of community.

Executive chef and one of three owners, David Morrow, was born and raised on the Emerald island of Ireland. David was recognized early on for his outstanding ability in the Culinary Arts. He was eventually recruited and trained by Irish Celebrity Chef and television personality, Neven Maguire, at the world famous MacNean House. Chef Morrow brings his passion for excellence in food along with years of experience and love for agriculture, farming, producing and sourcing only the finest, nutrient rich products.

We sat in the outdoor patio, which was such a fantastic atmosphere. We had the chopped beach salad and Bermuda fish sandwich. Both were excellent, with the fish being exceptional. It was some of the best fish I’ve ever had and being baked is a huge plus. The service was great too. Highly recommend!

I love Kokomo Trading Company! The food is delicious. You get seasoned plantains with dip at your table while you wait for your order. They have great gluten free options if you need accommodations with food allergens. It’s the perfect quaint spot for a date or meet up with friends.

Have been here a couple of times and certainly worth the trip. All of the food is made from scratch and the dishes are innovative and delicious. We shared and order of the Caribbean patties - essentially "Jamaican-style" empanadas served with mango chutney and cilantro lime dipping sauce. Could make a dinner out to these - particularly loved the curry chicken. I had the tiger shrimp burger - very good. Served with chorizo dirty rice, a specialty worth getting. My son had the Kokomo turkey leg - creatively prepared and served and fall-off-the-bone good. The entire staff is friendly and solicitous. Food arrival was timely, fresh, and hot. Relaxed atmosphere - lively but not loud. Reasonably priced. Outdoor patio available on nice days. Live music when we were there (on a Friday).

Derrick was amazing! We enjoyed our evening very much. The owner checked on us. The lobster pasta was amazing. Kind and friendly neighborhood spot.

Friendly Hospitality from moment we walked in. Service and food was great. Very much enjoyed the live entertainment. From out of town but will come again when we travel to the area. Recommending to friends.

We were excited to try Kokomo Trading Company but were kind of underwhelmed by our experience. Everyone who helped us was very friendly but our waiter wasn’t very knowledgable when we had questions about the menu and got our order wrong. The food was just okay and, to me, didn’t justify the prices. We were there for lunch on a Saturday and it was deserted. I think not having a brunch menu and any brunch options or live music for brunch is a miss in this neighborhood and with such a potentially fun environment. I’ve seen pictures of it in the evening when there’s music and it’s busy, so maybe we just had an off experience. I don’t think we’ll be back though.

I’m obsessed with so many of the dishes but I came to have a standard lunch order of the Caesar salad with chicken. The staff are so kind and know my order now. I feel like I’m on the set of Cheers. Other standout favs for me are the pasta dish, and the grilled cheese + tomato soup 🥰🥰🥰 so good.

Ordered queso, crab bisque, a side salad, and the Cuban sandwich. Everything was wonderful. It was our first time here, and we sat on the back patio area which was quiet. There was live music going on in the main room, but it was a solo gal with a guitar. The talented young lady was piped onto the porch but was not too loud as to impede our conversation. Our waitress took good care of us. A fun evening in Franklin.

I was hopeful given that this place is in WestHaven. There were only about 6 occupied tables when we were there and the bar wasn’t open, yet the service was very slow. The food was bland - I’m not sure there was seasoning on anything. I ordered the island burger - I was not asked how I would like it cooked. It arrived with 2 thin fast food style patties that were flavorless. Asked twice for the check and it still took longer than it should after the second request. Disappointing experience.

We loved our first time at Kokomo! We ate on the back patio under large umbrellas. Generous portions-everyone came away with leftovers! We're excited to go back again!

Kokomo’s is a casual Caribbean restaurant with a beachy neighborhood vibe. The staff is friendly, although the service can be a little spotty when they’re very busy. I had to ask for a glass and ice so I could pour from the water bottle on the table, and we needed to remind the server that the cilantro dip for the plantain chips was missing. The food is well-prepared; I’ve enjoyed the assorted Jamaican patties and the roti roll, which was generously stuffed with curried shredded turkey and potatoes and served with mango chutney. My husband loved his fried fish sandwich, which included a huge portion of fish and very tasty slaw. On an earlier visit, we were also impressed with the pavlova for dessert. We love that we can walk there from our home in just a few minutes!

We came for my birthday and this place exceeded our expectations with how delicious the food was and the service was over the top. I loved It so much that I told everyone in my exercise class to experience it as well. Can’t wait to come back!
