The Knotty Deck Bar at the Renaissance Hotel is my new favorite place to happy hour in Austin! The deck sits on the back of the hotel grounds above the surrounding tree tops with Hill Country views. We loved the fresh deck decor and especially the firepit table as it provided a cozy vibe for the evening. Cocktails were tasty and we enjoyed sharing the Brisket Tacos made with the most tender and delicious brisket, topped with loads of pico de gallo, cheese and a huge dollop of fresh guacamole! Major yum! Definitely will go back soon!

I love The Knotty Deck & Bar!! The best brisket nachos and brisket tacos in town HANDS DOWN. 🌮 Award-winning Mac-N-Cheese was sooo delicious, as well. Incredible service and beautiful outdoor patio! Perfect for a date or girls night!!

We loved our lunch at Knotty Deck! The outside patio is stunning and you feel like you’re in your own oasis with the trees surrounding you. Our server “D” was SO nice and had the best smile. We had her give us suggestions and she nailed it with the Brisket Nachos, Knotty Tacos, and these glazed Brussels sprouts — YUM! They have great wines by the glass and great cocktails. Their team also let us know they have a new pool bar opening that will specialize in frozen drinks. The manager made us a special coffee “Cubano” to end the meal which was delicious! Their staff really made it feel personal. Would recommend Knotty Deck!!

Fabulous Easter brunch! The entire team were very kind and attentive. They did an excellent job with the spread, and what we had was all delicious!

Knotty Deck was great. But, OpenTable reservation system did not work as expected. Although we reserved through OpenTable, there was no record of our reservation when we arrived at Knotty Deck. Knotty Deck staffed explained that OpenTable does not communicate with them, so any reservation made through OpenTable is not received by Knotty Deck. Suggest this issue is addressed to avoid future confusion and unnecessary delays.

We placed a reservation through open table and the restaurant said they had no idea people would put reservations down on mew years eve. They said they are under staffed and the kitchen is paused and would be a 45 min wait. They didn’t have a table available out side available for us. We waited the 45 min and still hadn’t received our drinks. I asked for another update and he went through the same script as when I first got there explaining the kitchen is still paused and it would be 45 min. He still hadn’t even brought us our wine so we went to estancia Brazilian steakhouse and had an amazing time there.

The kitchen ran out of food. There’s no music on the deck. It was extremely disappointing on NYE. Usually go downtown but thought we would try north Austin.

Good quality food with a lovely ambiance. The burgers and tortilla soup are excellent. The drinks were great. Our server, Drew, was on top of everything and promoted the food well. The patio vibe was good, and the music was on point during our time there.
