James Beard semi-finalist for Best Chef Texas and Top Chef Season 19 judge Kiran Verma, considered the ‘godmother of Indian fine dining,’ has created world-class north Indian cuisine at her eponymous restaurant. Come and enjoy good food and great service in a fabulous environment.

Signature dishes include rack of lamb with aloo methi, Chilean sea bass with mango chutney, chicken tikka masala and a vegetarian thali. Specialty cocktails range from the Jahangir Lassi (house-infused pineapple rum, passion fruit, mango lassi, pistachio) to a Chai Old Fashioned to a Cardamom Basil Gin & Tonic.

The restaurant serves Afternoon Tea every Saturday and Sunday - a four-course Indian and English tea experience. Chef Kiran has created her own chai blend.

Wonderful evening at Kiran’s last night. Service, drinks and food were excellent. At the top end of the budget range for us but portion sizes were more than enough - we brought food home! All of the dishes we tried were fantastic with the tandoori being the star of the show for us. I can also see how the menu could appeal or accommodate to folks who may not choose Indian as their first choice of cuisine. I’d encourage those folks to give Kiran’s a try!

I requested to be seated in the lounge…my favorite area at Kirans, to celebrate my Goddaughter’s graduation from college. My Goddaughter, arrived before I did and was seated in the very back corner of the restaurant, which, at the time was practically empty. She asked to at least be seated at the front of the back room and not in a back corner. When I arrived and was taken to the table I asked why we weren’t being seated in the lounge. The hostess replied “she picked out the table”. I replied that we weren’t sitting balcony there and we were escorted to the lounge. Sage was my server and he was great! The only issue was the time it took (15-20 minutes) to get my bill after I had given my card.

Fabulous experience - delicious food and drinks, great ambience and wonderful and attentive service by Michela. She suggested and descibed dishes which was a great help!

They had a problem with their computer system. 6 of us and 2 didn’t get their food. Waiter was hardly around. When we finally were able to get his attention, he said he would check. He came back and told us the issue and that he would expedite the two meals. Took talking to the manager for some action. Food arrived almost 25 minutes after the other 4 got their food. Had to keep chasing waiter just to get water. They had the gall to try and charge us 20% tip. They should have comped at least one meal rather than pour salt in the wound with an outrageous tip

Love to eat at Kiran’s. The ambiance & sophistication is worth your money. Food is excellent but I’d like it spicier & free of too much nuts in every dish.
