James Beard semi-finalist for Best Chef Texas and Top Chef Season 19 judge Kiran Verma, considered the ‘godmother of Indian fine dining,’ has created world-class north Indian cuisine at her eponymous restaurant. Come and enjoy good food and great service in a fabulous environment.

Signature dishes include rack of lamb with aloo methi, Chilean sea bass with mango chutney, chicken tikka masala and a vegetarian thali. Specialty cocktails range from the Jahangir Lassi (house-infused pineapple rum, passion fruit, mango lassi, pistachio) to a Chai Old Fashioned to a Cardamom Basil Gin & Tonic.

The restaurant serves Afternoon Tea every Saturday and Sunday - a four-course Indian and English tea experience. Chef Kiran has created her own chai blend.

Wonderful evening. Food was excellent and service exceptional. The only disappointment was no validation for parking. Seems a little unfair after we had spent quite a lot of money in the restaurant. This needs to be looked at.

We had a fabulous dinner for 7. Chef Kiran did a tasting menu for the table and knocked it out of the park. Maria our server did an excellent job. Can't wait til our next visit

The service was outstanding! We went there for the afternoon tea and our waitress was attentive, organized, and had a dry humor. Had 3 teas with the food, and the desserts were amazing. However, the main courses were way overpriced I thought and not particularly good.

Still one of the best dining experiences you will have in the U.S., and not just in Houston. I love the food in Houston, we have some of the best chefs in the world. Chef Kiran is amongst the best!

The service was poor and our server hard to find. Had to ask for drink refills numerous times even from another server. The food was good and ambience calming. A harpest was playing lovely music.

Booked a table at Kiran’s on a whim. Celebrating my daughter’s birthday following a cruise, happened to be in Houston. Boy were we glad. Food: simply exceptional. Service: impeccable ambience: warm, inviting and spotless. Even the bathrooms were immaculate. Being from the NY area, and a regular traveler I did not believe amazing Indian food could be found outside the northeast. Now, Kiran’s is easily one of my top recommendations to anyone looking for a great Indian experience. Chef Kiran herself took time to meet with us. Put Kiran’s on your list as a destination restaurant.

What a perfect buffet Kiran's lays out especially and only for holidays! Not only are there delicious classic South and North Indian favorites, but there is something for every palette to satisfy those in a celebrating group. For instance, on Easter there was also an omlette station, roasted lamb, carrots, asparagus, various salads, and kid friendly foods like pizza and chicken nuggets. The wide assortment of desserts was exquisite. Kiran's always has very attentive service and hot, beautifully presented food. I highly recommend this elegant and quiet restaurant where you can easily converse with your group.

We came here for our anniversary so we had high expectations. Maria the server was wonderful. Kiran management made sure that we were well taken care of. The fried okra is insane. We had an amazing experience. Highly recommend.

Very nice and beautifully thought menu. We ordered rogan josh and it was out of the world. Their paneer pakora and chaat was good. Lamb kabab was really soft and flavorful. Definitely recommend Kiran’s to go with a nice ambience.

Our much awaited dinner at Kiran’s did not disappoint. The restaurant is lovely, with elegant, modern decor, and the noise level was low, which made for easy conversation. The service was impeccable from the moment we were seated and throughout our dinner. We started with Goat Cheese and Beet Salad, Potato and Nut Samosas and Raj Katori, then shared Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Peshwari Naan. The heat level was just as we requested and everything was delectable. We will definitely return to sample several of the other appetizing offerings on the menu.

It’s great gathering with friends and shared good memories over the good foods. My husband and I had wedding reception in 2010. It’s been 14 years since we had a nice wedding reception. We’re happy to visit again.

We had such a lovely night! The ambiance and service was amazing! The food was very good. I would say 10/10 for ambiance and experience 7-8/10 for food If going on a date I would recommend ask for one of the couches. We had a lovely cozy night sitting together.

Last minute res for lunch. Delicious as usual. We do take out /delivery often from here. Inside is elegant. Had a hard time hearing harp player because we were in back room that had its own music playing. Service was excellent. Chef Kiran came out and gave us a little more tandoori chicken. She was wonderful and kind.

We were treated wonderfully. This is our favorite restaraunt in Houston — so great for family celebration dinners. They treated my sister grand for her golden 50th birthday!

Got there early (about 20 minutes) and found a place at the bar and ordered an app and drinks. The drinks were great. The hummus had yogurt in it which I'm not a fan of, but the non-yogurt portion was fine. Came to get us for our seat 5 minutes early (except our app was just being set down), so we asked for 5-10 minutes. We finished our app in about 10 minutes, and the bartender (GREAT GUY) called the front. We finally got a table 15 minutes after our res time. Ordered drinks, then some oysters after drinks came, and then our main after the app came. Timing was fine, and the waiter was friendly. Drinks were still excellent. Oysters were great with an awesome mignonette. I had the duck two ways. It was prepared perfectly and had good flavor. My wife had navrattan korma. She said it was good but wished it had a little more spice to it (she was not asked for a spice level). We ended with the bread pudding on the recommendation of our waiter which was probably the best thing all night. Overall, it was a good experience, although I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to go back for dinner. If I were in the area, I might just sit at the bar and have a great drink and some apps.
