Sizzling Tandoor features a royal array of authentic North Indian cuisine. We are committed to preserving the culture and tradition of the region with the utmost standards within culinary experiences. Our versatile menu offers a selection of fresh and natural ingredients, wholesome sauces, and flavourful spices. Following the success of our first downtown location in 2012, we have been named the Best Indian Restaurant in Victoria for six years running. Tandoor means “clay oven.” It is traditionally used for the baking of bread, meat, poultry and fish. The clay oven - for oil and fat-free cooking - is practical and energy-efficient. Today’s taste and health conscious consumers will find Tandoor cooking truly compatible and modern. All of our food is natural and freshly-prepared daily on the premises with no additives or preservatives. Our Chef’s endeavor to create a large variety of savory clay oven barbecued dishes and exotic curries for your tasting journey.

Kinu was an outstanding experience all around. Beautiful room, excellent drinks and exquisite food - every dish was unique, carefully prepared with unreal flavour profiles! The owner was kind and friendly. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Service and food was outstanding. The flavours were very different and delicious. Kudos to the chefs. Had a wonderful conversation with one of the waiters/busboys in Spanish. The only thing lacking was other patrons. We were the only ones in the restaurant on a busy hockey night.

Amazing new spot in town! The decor is beautiful, there is a great cocktail list, and the dishes are so creative and delicious! Definitely is worth a visit.

The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. We were explained in detail about some of the dishes that we were not familiar with. Very interesting cocktail menu. We enjoyed the evening very much. We wish Kinu much success. We will certainly go there again and we have mentioned the restaurant to many of our friends.

There is some good potential here--lots of flavours that are unique and quite good with some of the dishes, but the serving sizes are very small for the prices and they don't really align with the idea of "tapas". Two of the dishes weren't great (the stuffed chilies were bland but the sauce was great and the fish tacos were overly simple and the fish was badly overcooked). The fries and Pav Bhaji were quite good (the pav made it a bit difficult to eat; it would have been better with a flatter (naan style) bread). The prawns were also overcooked and a bit rubbery but the seasoning was really nice. The music was also very, very loud and we were not a fan of the type of music. Service was fine. Although the flavours were quite different than in other local Indian restaurants we wouldn't go back. For $100 without cocktails, we were a bit hungry when we left.

The menu posted on Open Table for this restaurant is five pages long and features dozens of tapas style dishes ranging in price from $2 and up, mostly under $10 plus main courses at a higher price. When we arrived there was a single loose leaf paper on the table, the menu, consisting of about a dozen item all in the $19-30 range. No tapas as the restaurant had advertised itself to be an Indian Tapas eatery. The staff were most accommodating and pleasant but they were also baffled at mixup of the menus and have been unable to explain it. They went out of their way to try to accommodate our requests for items not on the menu, but of course very limited due to kitchen restrictions. Overall, our experience was not very good due to very limited choices on the menu. Food was good but nothing special.
