End of season so short staffed. Those we interacted with were nice. Most food selections were tasty. The coconut crusted Halibut appetizer was my favorite. Salads tend to be over dressed so get the dressing on the side. The salmon and Halibut entrees are the best. The steak is okay, the chicken not worth it. The warm apple crisp dessert was yummy but the Blueberry bread pudding was disappointing.

Lauren was key to our dining experience. She connected with us and explained the meal selections quite well. There were 4 of us and we selected 3 different entrees. Each was bursting with flavor leaving our taste buds dancing for more. We had Linguine, Halibut and Salmon. We had scallops and they were tender and absolutely delicious. I will tell everyone to dine here when in Denali.

Always a little worried at a hotel restaurant but we had a great experience. The food was excellent and we had a fantastic server-Lauren. A great dining experience!

Halibut was delicious and my other friends both had the King Salmon. They said it was delicious. If you get dessert to go, please double check as I returned mine and still got the wrong one when I was in my room. The wait staff was courteous and timely with drinks and refills. The fish was a great size for the price.

My husband and two friends are here as a part of our cruise tour. The food is overpriced and was definitely not worth what we paid. Ordered a steak medium-well and it was past well done. Potatoes looked like they had been in a warmer for hours. Ordered the sockeye salmon and it was good but the mashed potatoes had to have been instant because of the texture. Our server was not great. He was overly flamboyant and invaded personal space. With that being said, he was avoidant and we had to track him down to order drink refills. It had been 45 minutes in-between ordering our food and us seeing him again to order drinks. Now I'm sure you're thinking I'm being critical but in all honesty, it was not busy enough for that much time to have gone by without seeing our waiter. Dessert raised the score we entered here for the restaurant. Overall impression was we paid too much for a subpar experience. Save yourself some money and have a good experience- go across the street to somewhere local.

First of all, you’re missing out if you don’t eat here. Our food and drinks were so good! This was my favorite place to eat on our Alaska Trip. Our server Lee and his assistant Visel were literally some of the best wait staff I have ever had! HIGHLY recommend!

We were foursome, arriving 3 hours late to the Denali Lodge because of Alaska Railway delays, after cruise disembarking from Whittier- the restaurant stayed open past normal hours with all staff; were made aware of our cruise train delay; and they were waiting for our very late arrival of that train with quite a few Princess Cruise passengers. We were able to sit down to a wonderful dinner, immediately seated ( nearly 10PM) were given terrific service by waitstaff, and our meals were delicious. Even 1 of us with gluten free diet was accommodated perfectly. Highly recommend their halibut, if you're not a fan of salmon. Prime rib was a great choice for 1 of our foursome. That meat can sometimes be very fatty, but his was a beautiful cut. Nice choices for wines by the glass, too. Finer dining in the interesting ambiance of northwoods furnishings and antler chandeliers. They have this down!!!

We had made reservations ahead of time to assure a table. Having read some reviews we were apprehensive but our fears were quickly settled. We were promptly seated and our server was friendly and efficient. We both had the salmon chowder and the halibut. The chowder was creamy tasty and packed with salmon. The halibut was succulent and top notch. If returning to the Princess Denali Lodge will return for dinner.

Regrettably the waiter presented our credit card three times which then the transaction was declined and resulting in our credit card being put on hold. Consequently, had to call overseas to freeze up our credit card…not the best way to finish a reasonably good night.

Food great especially halibut. Server was very informative and helpful in deciding what to get. Getting Shuttle from restaurant back to McKinley Chalet was long wait and very cold.

Please note that this review is adjusted to reflect local standards. While staying at the Denali Princess Lodge, we dined in multiple restaurants, and the King Salmon was designated — and demonstrated — to be the best of the lot. At a minimum, the food was good and the prices were equitable. The portions were substantial. We ordered multiple appetizers and split a main, which was prudent and ensured diversity in tastes. Keep in mind that this is a tourist location, not, necessarily, one that excels in fine dining. That said, our server, Lee, did a great job with our table, as well as all of the ones around us. Truly he is a professional, highly-experienced, accustomed to dealing with a lot of different types of diners, and excels in all dimensions. The view was nice, the food was what we expected, but Lee made all of the difference in the world, providing us with a great dining experience. Hats off to Lee!

From the hostess lying to us about our reservation and seating us several minutes late, inattentive service from our waiter, to a mediocre meal overall with well above-average prices, Princess should be both embarrassed and apologetic!
