Some of our fondest memories are those created with family and friends (Kin & Folk) surrounded by delicious food while celebrating any occasion worth getting together. Kin & Folk, a refined neighborhood restaurant is focused on bringing its community together to connect, celebrate and indulge.

Our Food
Driven by his heritage, chef has created a menu with asian flavours at its core. He draws inspiration from global cuisines, contemporary techniques, fresh ingredients and local producers to create a truly unique experience.

Our Cocktails
Our drink menu features a list of carefully crafted and exciting cocktails that are influenced by the classics with a cheeky spin! Each cocktail uses a combination of traditional, unique, local and fresh ingredients meant to intrigue and delight, sip after sip.

If you haven't yet tried Kin&Folk, you have a real treat in store. Beautiful textures, fresh, complex flavours, perfectly sized portions for sharing, and gorgeous presentation. Relaxed yet professional and efficient service in a refreshingly contemporary space. A delight.

Four of us visited and shared all the food family-style. The flavours were amazing! So many flavours, all complimentary. and so many different dishes! It was a delight for the senses. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a light lunch, and found it in our shared appetizers: scallop & prawn, and burrata, both prepared in an unusual way. Delicious!

Our group of 6 ladies thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was outstanding as were the wine pairings from The Red Barn.

We had the best experience, we were there for a red barn winery pairing event, the waitress Lisa was amazing, the food was exceptional! Especially loved the long cod! We are definetly coming back, everything about the restaurant was awesome!

We had an amazing meal at Kin and Folk. The drinks and food were creative and delicious. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to any looking for a special dining experience in Penticton.

The music was too loud. People have to raise their voices in order to be heard then it becomes even more noisy. Why do restaurants often have such load music. People go to restaurants to eat and to socialize

The service was fantastic from the hostess to the server to the people bringing out our food and to Nadine the assistance gm. Food was awesome. Had the roasted vegetable salad, family bread, jerk chicken and the gnocchi. Nice, lovely atmosphere which we enjoyed. Will definitely be going back again soon.

I thought it may be difficult to choose sharing dishes for just myself, but then I had an “aha” moment and decided to just share with myself and take the extras home! Perfect. I ordered one of my favourites, Scallops & Prawns and paired it with the Duck Bao Buns! Oh, so good together. And, I ordered the G.O.A.T drink, Lychee & Raspberry (still prefer the original name “Velvet Slipper”). I devoured each dish and then order the Sweet & Sticky Ribs to bring home! Thank you again for a great evening. The team made me feel right at home instead of dining alone!

Waitress was good, establishment was clean and inviting. Drinks were great-a tad overpriced. My fried rice was delicious, but the other 3 at the table weren’t impressed. $5 add on fries on 2 of the meals were cold and barely eaten.

Super place, we had the Painted Rock Wine & Chefs dinner, outstanding flavours perfectly paired with great wine. The service was superb, highly recommended.

This is our favourite restaurant in Penticton and a first choice when entertaining visitors. The menu is inventive and every item has been delicious. We also appreciate the number of choices for those with special diets/intolerances. Kin & Folk never disappoints!

Perfection again! The Gochuhjang Ragu was absolutely splendid (like being in Tuscany) and a delight to enjoy with a bottle of Roche Winery Nuances red from the Okanagan Valley. The Raspberry and Lychee cocktail (formerly known as the Velvet Slipper - I prefer the original name) paired flawlessly with the Scallops and Prawns as well with the Jerk Chicken Karaage. The Family Bread, so light, fluffy and warm, was used to sop up all the sauces left in the bowls. Nothing went to waste, just to our waists. Thank you Kin & Folk for making a great date night for my husband and I!

The flavours, oh the flavours! Unexpected and delightful. Honestly who knew broccoli purée could be that amazing. Melt in your mouth short rib. Roasty and toasty salad unlike any I’ve had before. Service was excellent and we will definitely be back.

The food was incredible, unique and had amazing flavours. The ambiance was fresh and inviting. The service was professional and knowledgeable. There was genuine intention to make our experience a memorable one. We will be back most definitely… too many menu items we have not tasted yet.

The scallops and prawns, ceviche style was excellent! just a bit messy watch your shirt. Family bread tasty but rich. Fried Rice-very flavourful , but wish it was less oily. Will try again.

Amazing food filled with SO MUCH flavour. We haven’t tried anything that we wouldn’t love. Our favorite was the prawn and scallop (seviche) and ramen carbonara. Drinks are super fun and unique! My favorite was Winter Plum margarita.

Highly recommend! Amazing personalized service, exceptional food, and incredibly educated on food allergies. My wife has celiac disease and felt very comfortable dining here. Staff went above and beyond to create a memorable dining experience.

My wife and I have been there numerous times and have never been let down! Love the food, drinks and ambiance! All the girls were awesome making sure we were never left without. The owner even came over to check on us! If you have never been here I would recommend sitting near the bar so you can see the bartender making the signature drinks. Just fun to watch! Go in the summer and sit under the lights and spend some time just enjoying your night! 5 Stars to the staff!

The food is fantastic, the wine delicious. Our friends who were new to the restaurant would definitely return. Only downside is the noise level which is a little loud for older, deafer folk!
