Everything was tasty/good, but nothing mind-blowing, and price points high for what it is. Tried a variety of dishes: chicken laap, pork spring rolls, Brussels sprouts were delicious! Rest were good/decent: papaya salad, hangar steak stirfry (should specify it contains noodles), pad see ew (prawn noodles), chili prawns, and pork curry noodle…found dishes to be noodle-heavy. Person clearing table dropped utensils on my lap & suede jacket and noticed, but didn’t apologize/acknowledge at all.

The food is consistently good here. I haven’t been back here in 3 years (only bc of moving away) and the menu has stayed exactly the same. Would love to see some new dishes on the menu to explore some more flavors of Laotian cuisine. However everything tasted awesome and the front of the house staff were very pleasant as usual

The food is very good but the service is poor. We were a party of three. We were sharing a bottle of wine. Someone who appeared to be a floor manager came to pour our glasses and only poured two of us finishing the bottle. There was enough for him to accommodate the three of us. He promised then he would “top off” the other glass. He didn’t. Later when we changed from appetizers to mains, the same person said he would change our plates. He didn’t. Lastly, in an effort to try and recoup a bit from the mistakes he offered to comp us dessert. He didn’t. A sad showing of service.

We had a delicious dinner with five people. We were not super hungry but got two curry dishes (the salmon and the noodle soup) along with the papaya salad. The service was spectacular and the drinks were tasty. I love the ambiance and the robust flavors here. Can’t wait to return.

The food was fantastic. Pork curry noodle is now one of my favorite dishes. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Didn't know asking for a spoon would be a difficult request. Also, please clear the table before bringing the next round of orders.

Always great. Market bowls are the best lunch deal around, by far. Brussels sprouts, sticky rice, bang bang sauce round it out. Toasted coconut ice cream was perfect dessert. Everyone is friendly, vibe is relaxed, restaurant is cozy, 80s sound track they play always makes me smile. I love this place.

The meal started with promise because the appetizers were very good. The pork spring rolls in particular had a light crunchy wrapper and the filling was moist and delicious. The main dishes were too saucy and salty, and every main dish came out with cheap and conventional American broccoli as opposed to the Asian vegetables listed on the menu. Don’t get me wrong: the food was pretty good overall, and the loud group of young men having a bachelor party were having the time of their lives, but for $100 a person I expect a better food experience. The waiters were super pleasant and attentive.

My friends and I were excited to try Khe-Yo for dinner during Restaurant Week. Heard from other friends that the food, especially the pork belly was amazing there. We were met with friendly staff and Gerard, the manager. The place was nice and cozy with ambient lighting. We were seated by the front window with partial view of a beautifully lit skyline. Table was large and comfortable for our party of five. Drinks were ordered, they came immediately. They were yummy. We then ordered from the Restaurant Week menu which had the option of the pork belly as a main course … four out of five of us ordered the pork belly entree - and it was truly disappointing. Pork belly was dry (maybe it was reheated?) and tossed in with some very heavily salted vegetables. If it weren’t for the side of rice that came with the meal, I would not have been able to eat the food. Appetizers of chicken and kale were rubbery. Kale was so salty that it was inedible. Did someone double salt the vegetables that evening? Felt like the whole meal was cooked in a very perfunctory manner. Will not be returning- really disappointing.

Food was delicious. I had quail small plate and Salmon in Green Curry as entree. Both awesome! I was shocked at the treads on steps going down to bathroom. They were loose, there was no guard rail. This is an accident waiting to happen. I have to caveat my full recommendation of food with the steps safety concern. Shocked really.

I love Khe-yo and have visited whenever we are over from the UK. Bang bang rice balls are a must and the dishes are excellent. This time I did notice the prawn sizes are materially smaller than with previous visits, but aside from that it was at its usual high standard.

I came here 8 years ago during my previous NY visit when the place was still in its early days and on returning I was glad to see they are still doing well. Food was great and the tamarind ginger soda was a nice touch. The kitchen closes around 9 so best to get there earlier and have more time as we had to keep an eye on the clock near the end

Surprisingly disappointing experience for the last of 5 nights eating our way through NYC. The “flavors”/seasoning of food were good so first but had potential….but then. Our party of three had the pork belly wraps and the Chile chicken. But the chicken was dry. And the skin on the pork belly had been cooked a little too long it had moved from the crackle stage to hard/not breakable-with-teeth stage. The “pork” section of the belly was either 50-75% fat. The vinegar/garlic sauce was helpful in softening the skin. The waitress never had suggested specials (which we overheard offered to guests later) - and not once stopped by to ask how dinner was even though the restaurant was not crowded at that earlier hour. Perhaps they had different staff that week. There are much better experiences on same block in Tribeca…

Food is excellent. Unique food and ambiance. A New York experience. The waitstaff are very knowledgable and helpful, but service can be slow. Bathroom is downstairs and it is a treacherous walk to it. Be careful.

What a FAB PLACE....Sarah met us and was terriffic. The food was fresh and amazing and i can't EVEN with the BANG BANG sauce.... Chef does a wonderful job and i can't wait to return and try more things!!!!

I’ve been to Khe Yo many times and was always pretty happy. This time was different though. The food wasn’t great, especially the papaya salad and the chili chicken were unimpressive. Probably not going again.

The food and drinks are delicious, definitely a great place to eat with (to me) a novel cuisine. The place gets very busy and noisy, and they don't have enough wait staff to move things along, but as long as you're not in a hurry, it's fine

Einen Besuch wert ? Auf jeden Fall. Alles perfekt ? Nicht ganz. Das Lokal war gut besucht, aber dementsprechend unheimlich laut. Das Essen war gut zubereitet und lecker, nur nicht außergewöhnlich. Leider mussten wir sehr lange darauf warten die Rechnung bezahlen zu können. Alles in allem war es dennoch ein gelungener Abend.
