inspiración adecuada para este restaurante teppanyaki, que fusionará técnicas clásicas japonesas y del
sudeste asiático con ingredientes y estilos locales. Kengai es la interpretación de una experiencia de
teppanyaki adaptada a Tulum.

The Spirit of the Jacaranda Tree
The Jacaranda tree was transplanted to Mexico by Japanese immigrants in the 20th century. It is a fitting
inspiration for this teppanyaki restaurant, which will merge classic Japanese and Southeast Asian
techniques with local ingredients and styles. Kengai is a new interpretation of a high-energy teppanyaki
experience, well-adapted for Tulum.

Over all the food was good . I ordered chicken tikka masala .. thinking it will be good but I was so wrong . The tikka masala was awful … they added chicken to Campbell tomato soup .. come on .. u can make a little bit of an effort .. I understand u can’t expect it to be authentic .. but u have to nail the flavors .. if you have it on your menu ..

Beautiful restaurant lovely dinner. We got the cauliflower tempura and an order of dumplings to start. Then we got a noodle dish and rice dish. The dumplings were a bit overcooked but otherwise we really enjoyed the meal.

Absolutely beautiful venue and extremely attentive staff. I loved the beet salad. It was fresh and lightly dressed so the beets really shined. My partner started with the Bao Buns which were delicious. So much so that he was happy to have them as his main but he didn't. He had the Udon Al Wok and loved it. I had the Pad Thai with shrimp. I liked it, didn't love it. I think it would have benefitted from less sauce. The star of the show was the desert, the chocolate y matcha. A little basket of woven chocolate which melts over chocolate cake when drizzled with warmed molten chocolate. Wow! A+ dining experience.
