Kawa Ni is my favorite restaurant in Denver. Every dish is fantastic, the ambiance is amazing, and all of the servers are incredibly nice.

Great service and good atmosphere. Everything we ordered was excellent except my spicy lamb Dan Dan noodle was salty for my taste but good recipe. We will be back!

Service and ambience were incredible—some of the best in Denver. I thought the tofu pockets were delicious and the Cara Cara was tasty. But the ramen, and the mochi dessert, were a little underwhelming. Overall, the food lacked a specialness, a depth. There was a LOT we didn’t try so will be back to see what we might be missing…

Matt was outstanding. I love this restaurant anyway, and am working my way through the menu as fast as I can. Matt's knowledge of each of a few highlighted items from each section was exceptional and served to guide us through a great experience. Love the balance of the Sichuan items we chose as well as the phenomenal three piece sushi. The eggplant was as good if not better than the famous version on Pearl Street. I'm a slave to the shaved broccoli. Great wine.

My new favorite restaurant in Denver! Been back a few times now and every thing I have tried has been incredible. The cocktails are amazing and atmosphere is cozy. The staff is extremely friendly!

Second time visiting, the staff is amazing! Everyone is so kind and attentive which doesn't always seem like the norm anymore. The food is fantastic. I dream of the matcha tiramisu. Always a hit and will definitely be back soon.

Food was outstanding! We got the Szechuan dumplings, peekytoe crab Rangoon, and red cabbage to start, then the chicken bao, crab fried rice and the three piece tuna, scallop and hamachi. The vibe of the restaurant was great too, nice ambiance and good for a special occasion. The passionfruit and elderflower lemon cocktail were delicious as well. We will be back!

We love this place! Portions are generous, food is delicious and they were above and beyond about a tree nut allergy - giving us menu that had details not only of tree nuts but any nuts - just in case they misheard me on the phone! 10/10 spot.

fantastic flavors and inventive dishes. The raw fish was excellent. This is my favorite spot in the neighborhood. Service was attentive and friendly. 10 out of 10.

Kawa Ni is my new favorite spot. We've been twice - and the service and deliciousness didn't falter. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is so, so good (don't sleep on the cabbage app!) or the coconut curry. I'd eat here any day of the week!

We had high hopes. I agree with those who have said that the service was great, but the food was disappointing. TL;DR: The presentation on the food was excellent, but the flavors were rarely on point. As someone else mentioned, the sauce on the tuna nama was bizarre. The flavors did not blend at all. I almost couldn’t swallow the bite. The dumpling meat has no flavor and the dish is only saved by the sauce. We wanted to try the kung pao karaage, but our server sold us on the bowl. The rice was soggy and so was the chicken. It should be crisp fried chicken, but it was drowned in sauce. The highlight of the night was the addictive cabbage, which I know sounds unusual, but it was excellent. The texture of the sesame gave it a great crunch and the sauce had a perfect combo of tangy, spicy, and umami. We would go back only to have cocktails and the cabbage. We probably won’t have dinner again.

Great ambiance and waitstaff. Tuna tataki was amazing. Struggled with the lamb dan dan with too much nut butter in it but they look it off our bill. I will definitely give this place a second chance.

Wow this place is fantastic! The food, the drinks and the wait staff all hit it right out of the ball park! Just to name a few favs were the Szechuan Dumplings, Cold Sesame Noodles, Biang Biang Chicken Bao and the Spicy Kai Undon. So delicious. Don't forget to have the Cucumber Cocktail. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect Japanese food. Familiar menu items done with flair. Excellent wine, beer, and spirits list. Friendly, unpretentious service. Best sesame noodles ever. Important: The service charge is shared with all the hourly workers, including the kitchen.

We had high hopes coming here! Heard great things, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. We tried every sashimi - didn’t like any of them and quality was not up to the price. The tuna was bizarre and we couldn’t eat it. The noodle dish we had tasted and smelt awful. Service was incredible - the wait staff and management did everything to make our dining experience enjoyable. The drinks were delicious. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back :(

The three of us came for dinner, early afternoon and it was amazing. The sole purpose for picking that restaurant was a suggestion to have the hamachi dish. All the food was amazing, the drinks were fantastic. Book a reservation and go for date night or with friends.

Food is overpriced -- for four people eating heartily & drinking -- $560+ with automatic 20% tip. Food is good, but nothing out of this world special. It's extremely loud, even in the back room with the six tables. Service was the high point. Attentive and knowledgeable.

Absolutely FANTASTIC meal! Service was spot on and very knowledgeable. The food- literal OMG. Try the "handheld" rice feature with the tartar and orange zest. The soy beef feature was one of the best items I've ever had in a restaurant.
