Unfortunately the food and service was poor, which was so disappointing as we have been in for drinks before and the food has always looked excellent. Unfortunately the food that you get for the money that is charged is not relative as nothing appeared homemade, as it said on the menu, so cannot understand the prices. The steak was inedible and the fish and chips was very greasy, with very little chips. Although it was quiet the service was slow and we ended up cancelling our drinks as they just didn't turn up. As I said, hugely disappointing as we had been looking forward to coming.

Beautiful setting. Varied and very interesting menu. Excellent cuisine. The service could be a little slicker but, to be fair, the staff were also catering for a small wedding

We came upon Karma Lake of Menteith online as a dining option near Stronachlachar where we were staying. It might have been nice to stay at their hotel as well! We loved our first meal there (dinner) so much that we came back for a Mother’s Day brunch/lunch two days later. Our only disappointment was that both times we came the short rib was not available. Our meals, drinks, desserts, views, and service were wonderful. The view of the lake is so beautiful, especially on a sunny day, and it is fun to watch the fishermen. This restaurant was definitely a highlight of our trip to Scotland.

The view from the restaurant was absolutely stunning and it was a very relaxed environment. In saying that, the food was average, the service was nothing special and the price was ridiculous. A service fee was attached which only made the experience more ridiculous. Tips should be given by choice dependant on the service rather than taken for the privilege for a below satisfactory experience. Would recommend viewing for a drink or two but would advise against coming here for food.

Very limited vegetarian choices. Food and service average. Coffee was good. Felt like we were there ‘out of season’.
