As usual everything was exceptional- from the hostesses to our server to the food. I shared the Omakase with my two guests and it was spectacular as always. The drinks were amazing too! My favorite is the Cold Smoke. Well done to everyone on the Kampai team!

Wonderful food and service. Peter was fabulous. I loved the use of citrus and flavor layering that you don’t see in many sushi establishments

Ambiance was nice, service was outstanding. Wish I could say the same for the food. The brussel sprouts, sadly to say, were the highlight. We also ordered the John Galt roll, rather flat tasting with no flavor hint of spring onion or cilantro. We also ordered the soft crab, lack of seasoning in the tempura batter, deep fried so no added flavor from butter and the sauce was lackluster at best. I consider myself well versed in soft crabs as I am from Maryland where they are pretty much a staple. After the server stated if we were fans of soft shells, then ordering that should be a must. For the value as well, I won’t be going back. There are 2 other sushi restaurants in town, one has similar pricing but much better variety and taste, the other is less expensive, good quality and good atmosphere. I probably won’t be returning g to Kampai

I heard a lot about this place . It is good but was not as good as I expected. V good for a ski resort though .

It’s the best restaurant in Jackson. Everything is fresh and the service was perfect. We ate there twice this trip and both meals were incredible.

Amazing compilations and such fresh fish !!! Love this restaurant and look forward to dining here again ! Standard yellowtail was as fresh and delicious as could be we just love this old standard plus had a fresh cod sashimi dish we had not tried before that was so delicious.

I think King Sushi is the best in town. Service and ambience are great here, but the quality of the sushi is lacking, compared to King.

We had another surpassing experience at Kampai. The Omakase dinner was outstanding. The dishes were well paced one more exciting than the next. The service was outstanding. It is far and away the best restaurant in Jackson

We did Omekase at the counter with Chris, who is the executive chef. It was one of the most interesting dining experiences of my life, anywhere in the world. The quality and variety of the starters, sushi, and sashimi was actually stunning. I can not believe that we had this meal in the mountains of Wyoming. The fish was the highest quality, but the flavors and preparation was simply original artistry at a high level. I never write reviews, but I had to comment and thank Kampai for the great meal. We will be back.

Our sushi chef, was great. Excellent all around. Food was amazing Service fell way short as we ordered two bottles of fairly expensive sake, which you are not supposed to pour your own sake! We were poured one glass and that was the total attentiveness. Our water glasses were empty half of the time and dishes piled up next to us after each dish. I would expect much better service when paying $1000+ for dinner. This would be a 3 star review if it wasn't for our sushi chef and outstanding food. Service just sucked

Food is consistently amazing. The sushi pizza will continue to be my favorite, but overall it was excellent. This is a perfect place to celebrate a birthday, date, etc. Highly recommend.

Delicious as always. Fish is so amazing & the sushi rolls are creative & tasty. It was louder than usually, but a busy Saturday night. Service great - just forgot my glass of sake & didn’t follow-up on reheating hot sake - which is usually needed at least once with a half carafe. We’ll be back

Restaurant was not overly busy. We got kicked out of our table as we were finishing our drinks by the hostess. We were there less than 2 hours. That didn’t feel great. Food was good but sushi pizza has gotten tiny.

This was without question the best meal we had in our 8 nights in Jackson Hole. It was very special. The food and service were beyond outstanding. We did the chef’s tasting menu and everything single thing that came out was exceptional and explained to perfection. What an amazing experience! I highly recommend this place and we will be back.

A lovely up market Japanese restaurant fabulous food and ambience. Not cheap, but everything was outstanding. We sat at the bar and let the chef guide our meal - highly recommended

Kampai is an “experience”. The food is exquisite, the service impeccable and the people running the restaurant are such a pleasure to be with. Don’t tell anyone as it is not easy to get a reservation. Don’t forget to try the rooftop bar and restaurant as the ambience and views are magical.
