The father and son team of Manmohan and Vikram Singh have created a unique menu comprising of dishes from various regions of India and Indian inspired Americana. Following the tradition in Vikram's family kitchen, everything is made from scratch, to order and customized to your taste. The bar program, led by Agnes Kalusiewicz, infuses Indian spices and chutneys into scratch-made syrups, ensuring a unique and bold experience with every sip.

Kama symbolizes aesthetic pleasure of the senses – touch, smell, flavor, vision and sound. Food is our most intimate connection to nature and a source of everlasting memories.

Everything was amazing except that they inexplicably took some of our plates before the food was gone (and didn’t ask if we were done). That made it feel like they were rushing us even though there was plenty of seating available. I would have finished that delicious naan too!

We enjoyed our visit. We tried some new foods with mixed results— as to be expected when trying new foods. We will be back. There was a relaxed atmosphere and the waitress and servers were very good.

A newbie to Indian cuisine and I loved the food! Decent wine list, too. Nice decor and GREAT lighting. I will definitely return (soon I hope).

I really loved the Lamb sheek kebabs and lamb chops but the garlic bread was very hard and the cornish butter masala was average and also the dal makhani was very watery.

Delicious food, great ambiance and atmosphere. The mother’s day buffet was a hit. Mom loved it. This was our 3rd time dining at Kama Bistro and we’ll be returning back.

Wonderful experience! There were 4 of us - 2 veg and 2 non-veg. The non vegetarian food was outstanding. Harissa Chicken Tikka (9/10), Lamb samosas (8/10), Lamb mixed grill (10/10), Halibut Kerala Curry (10/10). Vegetarian: Crispy potatoes (5/10) least successful. Beets and Goat Cheese Salad (8/10) I didn’t try these two personally, but was told that Dal Makhani and Black Pepper Masala Paneer were okay. Gingerbread pudding for dessert was okay too (6/10). Drinks on the other hand were to my liking. Goan Sour (8/10) could’ve been a touch more sour. El Conquistador (10/10). Service was also excellent. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Chicago.

The food was average in taste and the service was very ok. Don’t blame the server as she was the only one in between 7-8 tables.
