                                                                                                            I had a reservation for my birthday and was very disappointed. Our server was meh, she was nice enough to warn us that the plates and portions were VERY small (despite the extremely high prices). I decided to get 2 things since we were all so hungry. She was right, the “shareable” appetizer plate was literally (literally) the size of one large bite, and my main entree was just okay, same with everyone else’s entree. Our bill ended up being astronomical for drinks and food that were all just…okay. And we left still a bit hungry. Ambiance is nice but I don’t think I’ll ever come here again. (Also our server just disappeared for the rest of dinner and we had to wait forever for the check. And the bathrooms were disgusting)

                                                                                                            Went with a friend of mine to Kaliwa on May 28th to celebrate our birthdays. The place was beautiful, we were seated immediately, and the staff was courteous and kind. I got the Lemongrass Dumplings, which were delicious, and the Jumbo Lump Crab Curry, which was absolute amazing. A beautiful place with very delicious food! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great Asian food.

                                                                                                            Reservation at 6pm, seated at 6:20pm (loads of open tables). Had to ask host to get us a waiter after waiting 15 minutes . My wife entree arrived a full 10 mins before mine. The food was pretty average.

                                                                                                            Good part: the sauces on both the dumplings and the cauliflower steak were fabulous. Not-so-good part: The thai iced tea was unavailable, but that was not clear when we ordered it, so it never showed up--but the waiter did keep us posted that he was waiting for it. Cauliflower steak was a hunk of cauliflower, but cutting it with a butter knife proved difficult and it felt like it was going to be slid off the plate onto the floor--it could have been cut into smaller slices, for a more tender/steak-like cook. Thai chicken salad was pedestrian, no great flavors we were expecting from a description, iceberg lettuce and hot house tomatoes made it feel like a side salad from a pizza joint.

                                                                                                            Location and ambiance is great. Food was good but over priced. I ordered wings and I received 3 for $14. This isn’t fine dining. Similar issue on the other apps. At this price point, I would go to the other fine dining options at the waterfront.
