Valet is available on Friday and Saturday for $10 and is located at the entrance of the parking garage, on the west side of Nueces St, in between 2nd and 3rd. We also provide validation for up to 2 hours in the garage. Our bar, Kalimotxo, opens at 5pm Tues-Saturday and 4PM on Sunday.

The food was flavorful, but the portions were small for the price. It could be that we’re just a bit spoiled from spending so much time in Spain, and having tapas, but increasing the size of the plates for sharing would’ve been good. Which staff was attentive.

Took my wife to Kalimotxo yesterday evening for Happy Hour and it was just fantastic. The appetizers, especially the oysters & pan con tomate are out of this world. The service was prompt, courteous & attentive. All the wine and mixed drinks we had were so darn tasty. Will definitely be back again!

Thought the food was going to be great, but was a bust. The fish croquettes and bruschetta like serving were awful!

Staff is friendly but the service was extra slow. We waited 10 minutes for the server to come asks us our drink order so by that time we already knew what we wanted to order. Server would get right in between us while we are having a conversation to pour water and would reach over our food almost touching it with her arm.. just got a bit annoying. Food was meh

We chose this place because we love the "small bites" concept in Spain. The service was very attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. We had the sardines, the mushrooms, and the burger. All were very tasty. Portions are very small. Normally we can share plates and feels there was more than enough food. Here, you will need to order more than you think because the portions are small. Our server tried to warn us about fact. The cheese cake desert made up for the small plates as it was delicious.

Kalimotxo was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it! The ambiance is beautiful especially outside in Austin fall weather and the food was delicious.

Dishes tasted pretty bland and some, like the scallops, were overpriced. Staff was friendly and the drinks were good. The wood fire smoke from Hestia started bothering my eyes after a while.

We tried most of the items on the menu. The closest to actual Basque cuisine was the tortilla espanola which was excellent. Pan con tomate also quite good but a bit too oily. Everything else was disappointing. I have no idea what is going on with the so-called bacalao croquettes which strangely taste (and look like) like salmon patties. The lemon aioli that is served with or smothered over everything is a bizarre match for Spanish foods which tend to go with a garlic aioli. Staff was friendly and bar was nice (although you can't see any pinxtos at this pinxtos bar) but sadly the flavors are mostly well off the mark. My recommendation is to stop by for a glass of Txakoli with a slice of tortilla and maybe some pan con tomate...and move on. Note that you will leave smelling like a bonfire so keep that in mind if you have subsequent plans.

I am from Spain and this bar is far from a Spanish bar with Spanish food. The tortilla de patatas is very small and yes, I know it's a pintxo but in Spain they give you a large piece of tortilla with a basket full of bread and all the sauce you want (alioli). The bread with tomato was too burnt. The patatas bravas is the closest thing to real Spanish food but it's still too sweet, and they even add more spices on top when that's not the case. The basque cheesecake same... too small. I'm happy there is a "Spanish food" restaurant but this is not, although they do try. The service is fine but they are too insistent, in 5 minutes 3 waiters have come to ask if everything is okay, it's a bit overwhelming. The food is very expensive for what they offer.

We really enjoyed the oysters, the burger, and the potatoes. The octopus, bread(their version of bruschetta), and the Paloma were not great. The Paloma was one of the worst drinks I have had, similar to dirty dishwater and almost felt they were messing with us intentionally until we saw the price on the bill for it. We don’t get a date night very often and we’re excited to try this as it is part of such a great restaurant group. We will not be going back. Luckily in Austin, there are hundreds of other places we can pay $300 and get our money’s worth! Save your night and keep looking.

We went for dinner outside at this restaurant and the place is in a beautiful Cul-de-Sac. One of the problems is that they don't have fans with mist or anything to cool you down, and even though we were in the shade and it was 6pm , it was very hot. The service was good, but the food could have been better and it was expensive for the amount of food served in each dish. I know they were Tapas, but I've been to Tapas restaurants with tastier and bigger portions, here in Austin. I'm not going back.

Food was unfortunately not memorable. We got the pan de tomato which could use some more tomatoes, maybe salt, Parmesan and basil? The octopus was very tiny, crudo could use some salt, the pepper with goat cheese was great.

Great tapas, not a ton of choices but everything was delicious, seasoned well, and well cooked. The Kalimotxo were exactly like we remember and affordable. I like the wide range of prices and sizes, from larger portions to small snacks. Great for any occasion. Our servers were patient and knowledgeable. We had to send something back to be cooked more and everyone couldn't have been nicer about it. We will definitely go back!

This is a great place for Happy Hour drinks and snacks. Service was amazing and the food is lovely, menu is a little short but it is small spot attached to a larger restaurant. Lovely ambience.

The selection was excellent, however, I found several of the items overly salty. My favorite bite was the ham and anchovy. For those grossed out, it is flesh anchovy and not from a can. Usual and excellent. Limited special cocktails, but very good and well executed. Very friend, attentive and caring staff. We sat on the patio, which was nice. Two negative with the patio. The music was in competition while the Tex-Mex place across from it, making unnecessarily loud. Second, the some of the chair used were really low to the table making it challenging. This are kit-picky. One of the better Spanish places in the city in my opinion.
