Decided to try the advertised $.99 tacos only to find out they raised the price that day. They didn’t bring chips & salsa to the table like every other Mexican restaurant I’ve been too. Tacos were ok. They were the same size as last week but higher price.

I like this place, but I always forget how loud the music is. Hard to hear the waiter, hard for our order to be heard, hard to have a conversation. But...the food was great (first time having the TACOS GOBERNADOR - wasn't told a side of rice & beans were an extra charge and it doesn't state on the menu) as always and my fave, the FUEGO DE DRAGON was on point.

We went for the Happy Hour to try it out since this was our first time here, and the food was not worth it. I ordered potato taquitos and it looked as though the serving was 2 taquitos cut into quarters, which is barely an appetizer. The nachos didn't have enough cheese, and our server kindly took it back to add more cheese, which was somehow burned and semi-melted at the same time. The margaritas were just ok, which was disappointing. The entree ordered, Lomo Saltado, was not impressive in any way. The only positive thing to mention is our server was very good and treated us very respectfully. I will not return to this restaurant.

Great Sunday brunch but it was the loudest restaurant I’ve been to in my entire life. They are blaring music like it’s a night club. Had to yell across the table to even talk. Don’t go here if you want a nice quiet casual brunch.

My first time at Kalaveras was great! The ambiance was perfect for Happy Hour with my friends. Drinks were delicious - I had a margarita flight and was nicely surprised with the fire effects when it was served. The loaded fries were my favorite! We went on Taco Tuesday- tacos were simple, a tad small but 99 cents so good deal. Will come back!
