We have chosen OpenTable for Mother's Day at Calaveras for three years in a row. I believe this year the restaurant moved all the food outside to accommodate more people. However, it seems they took on too much, resulting in a drop in the quality of both food and service due to the overcrowding. It’s a great restaurant, but this year's Mother's Day special didn't live up to its usual standards.

Everything was OK but one of the appetizers “queso fundido” was not good at all and for 20$ cmon waste of money. It’s supposed to be chorizo with melted cheese on top. They gave me 3 bits of chorizo with a plate of melted cheese. The tacos are ok just meat and tortilla but 6$ each. Now my food was really good. I got the asada and shrimp kali burrito. But again you’re going to pay 20$ for a burrito. Overall it ehh. They’re known for their Mexican candy drinks which are way too watered down and expensive. 10$ a shot of some off label bottle of tequila.

I struggled to find a restaurant that would accommodate a group of 20 people to celebrate my birthday without charging a crazy rental or reservation fee and I was sooo thankful to find Kalaveras. No fee and making the reservation online was super easy! Staff was incredibly accommodating and understand of our large group. Could not have asked for a better experience.

A little loud, seemed like taco Tuesday had them running around a lot. They forgot a few items and considering how busy it was we just went with the flow. Can’t beat .99 tacos we made due

The guacamole did not look fresh as claimed. It came out in a big scoop like an ice cream scoop on a cone looks like. Also, my wife ordered the brunch chilaquiles with steak. They forgot the steak but still charged us for it. We had to ask for the bill to be adjusted. But worst of all, the chilaquiles tasted like they were drenched in lime juice. The music was way too loud, we could hardly hear each other talk. This was our second visit. The first visit was far better. This second visit was disappointing.

Kalaveras in Rancho Cucamonga always impresses. We arrived at 6 and were promptly seated. Our waiter took our drink order and quickly returned with them, though I had to request chips and salsa separately. Kalavera’s chips and salsa are delicious, though I still prefer Acapulco's. Our food arrived promptly and was fresh and hot. The service was excellent, the ambiance neat, and the staff young, Latin, good-looking, and professional. Overall, a 10/10 experience. Highly recommended!

The stars of this place are really the employees every waitress or waiter I’ve ever gotten while coming here has made my table and experience amazing they are always high energy, very attentive, and so polite they really make you want to order more and if that’s not 5 star service i really don’t know what is.

Had a reservation for two with my 9 yr old daughter. It was a very busy Saturday night but we were seated quickly. We sat at our table for over 25 minutes and were not serviced by anyone. No one even came and asked if we would like water while we waited. Seems like they were prioritizing the larger parties. We ended up leaving.

Customer service was bad Our food was cold , they had to take it back in and reheat it. We ordered a Agua Fresca which was never brought out to us after asking a few times. Over all poor service.

Service was good overall. We celebrated a Birthday and they loved the place. Drinks were a little overpriced but food w great. The reservation worked out well.. we will be back

Great food and drinks. It was packed with lots of people and was loud. Our server was attentive and the staff kept checking on refilling the water glass. We go quite often because the food is delicious

The service and ambiance was great. We went there for my youngest son’s 22nd birthday and they came out and sang Happy Birthday to him. It’s a great place for celebrations or just for dinner. Definitely not a quiet place, so if you’re looking for a romantic and quiet place this isn’t it. If you want music and a good time, this is the place.

Over all we enjoyed our brunch. I wished there was more variety of food and aguas frescas but unlimited mimosas make up for it ! If you’re looking for a quiet brunch place this is not the place for you. Kalaveras is known for their upbeat and loud music. If you don’t like it go somewhere else don’t give bad reviews cause it’s not “your vibe”. My finance and I will be going back !

First, they don't give chips and salsa like other Mexican restaurants secondly there tacos are so tiny they literally put 5 pieces of grilled chicken!!! 3rd, they open late for Sunday Buffet brunch at 10 am!!! I really miss Don Chon, which used to be at this location very delicious food, and they always gave you unlimited chips and salsa. I'm not planning on going back. that's for sure

The food was very good. Our whole party loved their choices which is very rare for that to happen. The pineapple margarita was excellent. The way the sang Happy Birthday was very nice. Definitely will go back.

Overall Kalaveras is a great value and good place to go for decent Mexican food and good drinks. You can get full off or ordering multiple apps. The music is great and service is very fast even on the weekend
