VERY hard to find your restaurant, it needs to be stated that it is INSIDE the casino. Need better visibility inside the mall. We walked around for a good 15-20 minutes looking for your venue, we did not see “Kai” at any on the directional signs. We only found your restaurant because the host at Sonora Grill gave us direction. Additionally, I have great vision, both my wife and I had the hardest time reading your menu. May we suggest to increase your font size or use a different font on the menu?

There so many good restaurants in Cancun and this is one of them! An unexpected surprise! Somewhat hidden inside the casino in la Isla shopping area. Stylish decor. Great cocktails! Nice whiskey list. Excellent well made food reminiscent of matsuhisa… we’ll be back!

La decoración muy bonita con el Árbol de Salura en el medio, de igual manera el servicio de Antonio fue sobresaliente. Recomiendo los makis Dragón y Ninja, el Ramen igual estuvo muy delicioso. La bebida Ryu a base de mezcal estuvo muy rica y refrescante, el Negroni KAI igual muy bueno. Mi única pero es encontrar el restaurante ya que se encuentra dentro del Casino Macao y no del lado de la Isla. 5 estrellas.

Fernando was amazing, all fish was fresh and prepared beautifully. The pork ramen was perfect to share as a starter, rolls and sashimi were perfect

The food was wonderful. The waiters were very busy and service was slow. I didn’t know that the restaurant was in a casino where smoking is allowed, and the restaurant smelled like smoke to the point where we wanted to leave.

Fui a festejar el cumpleaños de mi prometida y estuvo buenísimo, el ambiente agradable, la atención increíble y la comida deliciosa! Solo los postres nos quedaron a deber ya que la rebanada de pastel estaba seca.

Unfortunately we had a very poor experience at Kai. Undercooked rice dish that restaurant is “known for” wait staff seemed lost and confused with no standard operating procedure on how to handle things. Restaurant allowed table next to us to blow cigarette smoke at our table for hours.

Amazing atmosphere, service and food! William made our evening so enjoyable, and everyone we came in contact with was so friendly and helpful. Love this place! Will visit again when back in Cancun.

Tuna sashimi was amazing. Uni was horrible. Truffled salmon roll and the roll with steak on it were delicious. Got the chocolate cake for dessert, and they decorated it special for our celebration. Our server was the best and very friendly. Love the decorations of this place.

This used to be my favourite restaurant in Cancun and I have eaten here several times but it has been a long time since my last visit. Much has changed. The rib steak was cooked perfectly but it was of such poor quality meat that much of it was left uneaten. The octopus was tasty but the portion size has been drastically reduced. I have before and after pictures. The only thing that was as good as I remember was the butter cake. The service at Kai used to be the best I have ever experienced. A well oiled team took care of every need instantly. This time we had one waiter and he got our orders wrong time and again. We asked for more crackers for our half-finished tuna tartar and he took it from the table and walked away. We thought he was putting more crackers on the plate but he actually threw it out. The kitchen had to make us a new order. He often walked away from the table mid-sentence and on 2 occasions I had to get up and follow him to the computer and ask him to come back to the table so we could complete our order. For example, when we went to order our mains, he only took one person's order and then just ran away to punch it in the computer before anyone else could order. It was so sudden we were all caught off guard. I have no idea what he was thinking. After 3 attempts to order 2 coffees at the end of dinner I got up and asked another waiter for help. He was very pleasant but I miss the quiet efficiency that used to exist at this restaurant. This is not the Kai I remember. That's a shame.

Service was great food was blah, not very good sushi. Rolls were good but sashimi not so good, tough and chewy not that melt in your mouth sushi. Service by William was excellent. I guess sushi just isn’t a thing in the Caribbean
