Mi experiencia fue excelente. La comida fue fresca y un sabor auténtico de México. Mi mesera Sharon fue muy gentil y sus recomendaciones fueron perfectas. Sin duda kahlo es un excelente lugar para ir y me hizo sentir en México.

Food was delicious, especially the guacamole. Drinks were impeccably composed. Service was beyond excellent! The music choice was weird and not ideal for digestion or conversation.

The restaurant it’s beautiful with really good vibes. We Loved the food and drinks specially the ceviche and cochinita. The cocktails were really good my favorite was the tamarind cocktail granizo if you go don’t miss on it. The staff was nice and I loved the music and ambiance. I’ll definitely go back!

Service was great. The guac was just ok, we also had the bass taco and the steak which were great. What bothered me the most was the overwhelming strong smell of incense all over the place. This is a party place, but a restaurant before anything else. Music was too loud, it is a personal opinion and i get the idea, just not for me.

We had an outstanding dining experience! Every item was fresh and filled with layers of flavor. The drinks were great and the service was spectacular. We visit SMA in Mexico often and this is the most authentic fine Mexican food we have had in the U.S. Kahlo does not disappoint, I promise. Can’t wait to dine there again!!!

It is very very loud in there. Service is good, friendly people . Food & drinks are good. But it is overpriced. We payed $550 for 4 people which is very high for that food and ambiance.

Very happy all around with Kahlo and would definitely return. Everything from cocktails to appetizers to food was prepared well. Portions are moderate to small but food seasoned and presented well.

Why do they stack patrons at tables on top of each other when there are many empty tables? The people next to us talked loudly and incessantly, intruding on an otherwise lovely ambiance. The other side of the restaurant was empty. I don’t get it.

What a blast I had at Kahlo. I finally found a different kind of guac, and just how it says in the hit slogan this is truly a place where Mexican cuisine has a modern twist. And the best thing, if you are vegan they will have you covered with some really good dishes. Thank you so much to the staff for giving us a great experience.

This is a nice place truthfully to look at, we got there and spent majority of our time waiting for someone to first take our drink order than 20 minutes for someone to take our entree options. The worse part is I kept making eye contact with the waiters and trying to wave them down. Truthfully, my friend and I were ready to just leave and head to El Coco because we were hungry and I would get faster service and drinks at El Coco. Just as we’re getting up the waiter comes and takes our order, fine, we both got a steak and as soon as we took the first bite we both looked at each other and laughed because we were wondering what is this. What I thought were onions were potatoes cut so small but we loved the potatoes we only wish they had more. But the one good thing I can say about the steak is it was huge for the amount we just wished it had a sauce to go with it because the guacamole puree reminded me of a la croix (you know the flavors of la croix are a hint of what the flavor should be compared to a flavored soda). This puree was a hint of mint that made you wonder where the rest of it was. We ended up not finishing, taking out food to go and still headed over to El Coco.

This was my third time going to kahlo and the worst service. I ordered the winter salad and asked for a protein (like chicken) which I have had before. The waiter said no immediately and only after I explained that I had had it that way before, was willing to ask the chef if it could be done. Once it came out, the portion was much smaller than the other time. Still a pretty restaurant and decent food, but really found this disappointing and may not be back.

This is one my favorite Mexican restaurants in New York City. The food is always consistent and delicious. Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return to Kahlo and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat or just sit at the bar and have some drinks.
