Kachka features an award-winning menu of post-soviet inspired dishes including famous dishes such as the Herring under a fur coat, Rabbit in a clay pot, dumplings and much more. The restaurant is an homage to the dishes our chef/owner grew up eating. Kachka is open for indoor onsite dining. Walk-in lounge and bar seating are also available.

Our Lavka grocery is open from 11am-9pm daily with counter service ordering from our Lavka cafe and deli available from 11-3. Seating is first come first serve on our upper patio or indoor lounge tables.

We have proudly replaced tipping with a 22% service fee in order to provide a base wage of $25 per hour and free healthcare for all employees. More information is available at kachkapdx.com/wage-equity

I have been looking forward to trying the restaurant for 3 years, since buying the cookbook and becoming pelmeni obsessed. My niece recently moved to Portland, so we decided it was time! The restaurant vibe is lively and fun. Decor is amazing. Food was totally worth the flight from Chicago. The whole front of house team was super helpful and friendly. We also appreciated the full break down of the service fee, and agree that everyone in the restaurant should make a nice wage.

The dumplings were amazing, and the stuffed flatbread was incredible. The restaurant itself is a visual feast. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

I love this space, and the food is incredible! My wife and I try to eat healthy, and there were so many healthy and delicious options. We didn't feel like we had to sacrifice great taste to enjoy great food. We especially loved the pickled cauliflower and Siberian pelmeni (beef, pork, and veal dumplings), and the dirty martini with beet juice was atypical and amazing!

Great service and gorgeous restaurant! Didn’t think much of the $30 for Doritos/ caviar and the happy meal (nuggets and burger) fell short. Still worth a try! I’ve had better meals here.

We had an amazing experience! We decided on the russki zakuski experience, the food was impeccable. If you’re on the fence about what to order or want to try something new I’d recommend the experience for the entire table.
