Justin & Mia Devillier, owners and operators of La Petite Grocery, introduce their 3rd restaurant, Justine, a brasserie in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter. Opened in 2019, Justine combines the sophistication of Parisian brasseries with the playfulness of the South’s most lively district. Featuring dishes like Mussels, Escargot & Steak Frites, the menu honors the technique & simplicity of French classics, while evoking the senses with exciting, grand presentation. True to the heart of French brasserie culture, the bustling, multi-roomed restaurant offers a versatile space to be enjoyed by all, whether it’s for a weekday lunch, afternoon glass of wine, or celebratory dinner. Server was great. The ambiance is nice. Had the mussels and a baked cheese appetizer that were both delicious. But, all their prices are high. By way of example, $50 for the fish entree is too much (it was redfish that evening). Another restaurant around the corner about 2 blocks has blackened redfish for $25 and crabmeat stuffed redfish for $28, and it was excellent.

The maître d’ was very accommodating and allowed me to increase the guests to 5 from 3 earlier in the day after I called. The restaurant’s decor was (IMO) contemporary, tastefully dimmed and very comfortable. We were seated inside at a banquette in the rear room next to the patio, which felt cozy and relaxed. The food was delicious, as were the drinks, and the only criticism I had was that we had to wait a little longer for our appetizers when the restaurant was quiet, and the shrimp and grits entree could have been a little more generous with the grits. The spicy sauce with the shrimp and grits was outstanding, shrimp were cooked just right and the grits were silky deliciousness. my guest said the red fish special was outstanding served on green beans, topped with crawfish tails. Dessert consisted of: 1. Sticky toffee banana pudding with vanilla ice cream: A (grade) 2. Crème brûlée: A (guest) 3. Sundae: A (guest) 4. Coffee was lukewarm and the milk made it colder: D (we probably should have sent it back) The waiter was friendly, attentive and looked after us just fine. I would recommend this restaurant for a group or couple. Not somewhere I would bring young children too.

Our waiter Will was practically non existent, we had to hunt him down just to get service. Food was mediocre, not worth the price. The burger was probably the best on the menu. Brussels taste like they poured an entire bottle of hot sauce. Crab Mac and cheese has not an ounce of flavor. Drinks had to be returned. Only the lemon drop was the best drink. Don’t get me started on the manager, he wouldn’t give his name but he’s short, stumpy with braces. Overall…experience is poor and we will NEVER return.

I believe we found a new favorite! We had a party of 7 and all of us enjoyed entrees and appetizers. Especially shrimp & grits, scallops, and Brussels sprouts. Definitely one of best shrimp & grit entrees in NOLA.

Amazing ! Shrimp and grits and the mussel appetizer was delicious. Been here many times and this was the best yet!

We came to Justine to celebrate a graduation. Everything was excellent. Every appetizer, entree, side, dessert was delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Our server was Will and he was great as well! Will definitely be back!

Amazing restaurant, fantastic service. Here for a work conference and chose Justin on a whim. SO glad we did. Our server Taylor was amazing (her recs were spot-on) and I would come here a million more times! Great food, great service, incredible.

Always a great go to! However, I notice that there is an attitude at the bar from the bar tender - with short answers and frankly just snippy. Our server at the table was fantastic, friendly. However, the restaurant needs to refine its service e.g. we ordered numerous appetizers to share - there were no serving utensils presented to serve with; then flatware from the appetizers was just repurposed for dinner ... off putting at this level of dining establishment. Food was excellent. Brussel sprouts have too much 'sauce' covering them - I'd tame that down.
