Very friendly service. My friend and I shared the Salmon main course and Little gems salad. The lettuce was so fresh and delicious and the baby peas a great addition. The kitchen cooperated with my request to put Bernaise sauce on side. My friend enjoyed and I could avoid. They surprised us at end with chocolates and birthday candle marking my celebration. We hadn’t reminded them. We went at 5 when they opened, outdoor patio lovely on a warm night and quiet before later diners arrived.

We brought our foodie friends from Los Angeles and they were not only happy with the delicious food but the kind service and attention that Julia gave our table blew them away!

While the food was unique and tasty, it was not fantastic or particularly memorable. It was wildly overpriced. A mound of vegetarian biryani with a few florets of cauliflower and three small pieces of eggplant for $35? Ridiculous. No particular elements of the dish were highlighted; it didn’t showcase the essential character of any ingredient. I will not return.

It’s as great as everyone says, consistently delicious and interesting food, front dining room is louder and more busy feeling than the back patio where we sat which is quieter and lower key. We have had many great meals here and look forward to many more in the future!

I have never had a bad meal or cocktail at Juanita & Maud. The chef is beyond talented and the staff is fantastic. The ambience is cozy, warm and inviting. Great place for romantic date and celebrations with close friends. It manages to feel feel intimate and warm in a way that you want to come back again but only share with your inner circle

Juanita & Maude is our favorite restaurant in the East Bay. It was our first dinner date in July 2022 and it has become our go to spot for any occasion or no occasion at all. The food is just so darn good! The menu is constantly changing and original. The cocktails are out of this world. We especially love Julia. Each time we go it's an unforgettable experience. Thanks to your entire staff!

Juanita and Maude’s consistently provides excellent, warm service and wonderful food. The dishes are always different and always delicious. The restaurant is our favorite in the East Bay.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed the food, the service and the experience. The food was excellent. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. The two desserts that we split were the end to a satisfying dinner (and thanks to the staff for remembering our anniversary). We'll be back.

This is my favorite restaurant! My whole family loves it. Service is outstanding. Food is excellent. I love sitting on the outside deck. Such a lovely warm neighborhood vibe.

Service and food was outstanding.It’s obviously one of the best restaurant in this immediate area.The food is very imaginative and presentation is very well executed.I must add if you are on a budget this restaurant will disappoint you,particularly if you have a cocktail and a bottle of wine.The only criticism I have is the wine list needs work.There’s no description of the wine or where it’s from and also very few selections from California.We’ve been at Juanita and Maude several times and will be going back.All in all a wonderful restaurant and very well run.Many thanks!

We came for a team celebration and had the MOST delightful evening. Our server was fabulous (I believe it was Oliver) - friendly, very attentive - but in the best possible way. Our meal was perfectly paced, the drinks were all divine and SO beautiful - the colors of the mocktails were amazing! Oliver described the dishes so well and steered us in the right direction with our choices. The food was perfectly prepared and seasoned. And the fritters we had for dessert were the best way to end an exquisite meal. I highly recommend booking Juanita & Maude for a special occasion (or just a nice date night). You can't go wrong!

This is my very favorite place to eat in the Bay Area. My husband and I always feel like we are absolute criminals when we eat here because we don't believe there can actually be food this good. Everything is perfect in this place, from the drinks, to the apps, to the coffee at the end of the meal. Definitely eat here. When you are done and on the way home, you will feel thrilled and victorious like you have stolen your own car!

The pinnacle of dining in the East Bay. I mean if it was just their cocktail menu that was as good as it is and everything else was just meh it would still be worth it just for that level of awesome, but after the cocktails everything else just keeps getting *better*.

The menu is not balanced. The food is thoughtful, but rich with sauces, cheese, butter, etc...Nothing is offered to balance that heavy and rich food with a light and pallet cleansing food. The salad is tossed with lots of cheese. Perhaps, a simple salad with a vinagrette would be nice to add to the menu.The deserts are also thoughtful, but too sweet. The prices are similar and at times higher than Chez Panisse. Our waiter refused to bring one slice of bread to finish an entree and instead offered to order a plate of bread with 4 slices. That was disappointing! We spent over $300 on our meal for three people and could not get one slice of bread!? If you want to pay that prices they charge here, I would recommed go to Chez Panisse for a consistent and balanced experience,!

I have been going to Juanita & Maude since shortly after it opened. Loved it then, love it now. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s become more difficult to get in as its popularity has grown.

Greeted warmly at the door. Waitress arrived promptly. Cocktail was done well. Food service was friendly well timed. Never felt rushed. Whole experience was pleasant.
