This was a great experience. The food was absolutely superb. I had the spanakopita that was served with lentils, totally knocked it out of the ballpark in taste, portion size, every possible. Two members in the group had the pork rib adobo, one portion was distinctly smaller than the other one, not sure why. Every dessert was a piece of art, both visual and culinary. The review will be incomplete without mentioning our server, Julia. She is the epitome of service with a smile. That definitely made the experience more enjoyable. Hope to be back next time I am in the Bay Area!

5⭐️ All around! Service was great! Cocktails, apps, entrees & desserts were all outstanding. Standouts- Potato pancakes Burrata w caviar, salmon w crispy skin, dessert fritters. Must go back soon!

it had been a number of years since I was last at this restaurant. I loved it back then and I love it even more now the food was superb and the server did all the little things that help make it a special meal. I will certainly be back.

This was my fourth time dining at Juanita & Maude, and based on that experience my expectations were high. Having said that, this visit was a bit of a disappointment. Three in my party of five ordered among the newer Indian dishes on the menu: the vegetarian biryani and the chicken tikka masala. Both dishes, in my view, should be saucy with a great depth of flavor. Instead, both were dry. The biryani was overly spicy, and for some reason the chef left the loose chicken skins on the chicken pieces. In my opinion, the J&M kitchen stick to what it has traditionally done very well and drop these Indian dishes. The host was friendly, and our server was patient and helpful, but the two servers seemed tired and a little joyless. Positives: the meyer lemon and ricotta fritters were great, as were the cocktails. I hope J&M rebounds!

Very friendly service. My friend and I shared the Salmon main course and Little gems salad. The lettuce was so fresh and delicious and the baby peas a great addition. The kitchen cooperated with my request to put Bernaise sauce on side. My friend enjoyed and I could avoid. They surprised us at end with chocolates and birthday candle marking my celebration. We hadn’t reminded them. We went at 5 when they opened, outdoor patio lovely on a warm night and quiet before later diners arrived.
