With a kitchen led by Michelin-award-winning Chef and co-owner Sammy Monsour (formerly of LA’s Preux & Proper), the menu centers around soulful Southern fare with an emphasis on sustainable seafood, offering an extensive raw bar program and selection of fine American caviars.

Complementing the bright flavors, Monsour adds rich, comforting depth with dishes like the Cornmeal Crusted Nashville Hot Catfish and Hickory Smoked Tomahawk Pork Chop. Beverage Director and co-owner, Kassady Wiggins designs a zero-landfill cocktail program that is well balanced and climate conscious. The drinks are the perfect blend of new and familiar, while bringing Southern flavors to each glass with cocktails like the Hootie Hoo and Mother of Pearl Martini.

Teaming up with Founders and Operators, Prince and Athena Riley, Joyce is named after their daughter and her grandmother. The restaurant embodies family, connection, and seeks to bring joy to guests through shared dining experiences.

Our first time at Joyce’s and we were immediately impressed, excited and slightly obsessed. The entire staff that assisted us, from the hostess, to our waiters, and the Assistant GM, each were first class in their service. The food was amazing. I’ve never had short ribs so tender. The flavors stood out and complimented each other so well, and the presentation you can tell the food is prepared carefully and with pride. The entire meal was amazing, and definitely made us want to try more items. Thank you Joyce Staff for enhancing our already perfect experience .

I really enjoyed my main course the smash burger was a little sweet for my liking but good none the less. I wasn’t as excited for the Mac and cheese or corn bread. Service was top tier.

Great ambience. We were greeted by smiling faces everywhere. Our server was very attentive. Kept our sparkling water coming. Food was delicious. Will definitely come back.

We celebrated a birthday brunch, and the staff and owner were so accommodating and thoughtful. The food is amazing and the team members of Joyce have excellent customer service!

The brunch is really good and the server was nice and attentive. My only issue is the a la carte options like being charged $4 for extra syrup and not offering a side item with a main dish.

Visiting from ATL, I’m particular on southern takes, and Joyce didn’t disappoint! Rob was an awesome server with great recommendations. He and the entire staff truly helped create a great dining experience! I will definitely be back!

This restaurant has the most amazing food and drinks! I love the aesthetic and the owners are really kind great hard-working people I’m really excited to one day bring my friends and family here, I think it would be a great event space in the future.

Absolutely LOVE this place! This was my second time dining at Joyce and this time I tried their Brunch Menu and it was a HIT! Definitely get the cornbread, it’s so simple, but so delicious!

Went to Joyce Soul and Sea for Sunday brunch. I was warmly greetedand by Drina, served flawlessly by Rob and thoroughly enjoyed fried green tomatos on a bed of creamy pimento cheese, low country shrimp and grits seasoned to perfection with a lobster shell sauce they take 48 hours to make according to Chef Anthony. Thanks to the entire team at JOYCE SOUL AND SEA! I think my next birthday 'cake' will be a banana cream ( suprisingly light, btw) pie with a graham cracker crust. Took home some exquisite NewOrleans inspired pastries for the week ahead. Thoroughly delightful way to spend a May 2024 spring afternoon! ( Wished it had been in my home so it could have gone on while we washed, dried, and put away dishes🙂👍💯!

Food is good but it’s very very expensive for what’s offered. The menu is a little confusing. We luckily had a good waiter she explained how best to order for a table of 5. The first guy did not, I’m glad they switched. She gave good recommendations too, I didn’t get her name though. Seemed like she may have been the only ethnic person or waitstaff in the place. But she’s great! I enjoyed the food but probably wouldn’t frequent it’s just soo overpriced.

Food was amazing! We had the Shrimp and Grits, Fish Tacos, Chicken and Waffle, Cornbread and Mimosas. Oh and the Banana Cream Pie!!! We cleaned our plates!! Nothing was left behind lol.

Showed up to a hostess in a flannel shirt! Kid you not. We sat outside on the patio which was just a basic unappealing average patio like any cafe. I’m thinking THIS is what my husband had to pay a deposit to make the reservation? If you are more than 15 minutes late, you lose the reservation? Over hyped and over priced! If you sit inside, be prepared for a very loud atmosphere and very little ambience. Rod our server was the best! So knowledgeable and a wonderful personality! They are lucky to have him! The octopus was so rubbery, had to saw it with a knife, hush puppies were too soft and gooey like inside. The kale was okay and the cauliflower a dish served cold and not very tasty. Honestly, I absolutely do not understand how this place is so highly spoken about. For the price, go to Le Petit Paris where the food is delectable.

We had a wonderful dinner here! Steven was our waiter and he made excellent recommendations…although later he said everything on the menu is just as outstanding. We had striped bass and Colorado lamb ribs. They were perfect. The whole place is beautiful, easy parking and friendly slow paced vibe.

Joyce is my new favorite spot in LA. The food was excellent. Over a 2 week period, I dined there 3 times. Several colleagues and I enjoyed the cornbread, mac and cheese, duck, fried hen, cauliflower, and the hootie hoo drinks. The way they served the food made it a fun experience. The atmosphere was popping with great music and the staff was super friendly. I would recommend Joyce's to anyone.

The overall experience was underwhelming. Food was ok, but not worth the price. I'm writing a review because they require a credit card for reservations and charge $25 for cancelations. Save yourself and pass.

Fun and inventive food with lots of great choices on the menu. We did all small plates: five for the two of us was plenty of variety and plenty to eat. The drinks were spot on as well.

Joyce is one of the most astounding restaurants in Los Angeles for me. The experience from ambience, care, food, drink and presentation is second to none. You are treated so well, the food and drink looks like filtered Instagram photos in presentation and the taste of every dish I tried is packed with flavor and care in how it is cooked. I have been here at least ten times and this restaurant is thriving with atmosphere. It feels local and everyone who comes here, brings people and then they bring people because it’s that good. They really care. Enjoy a lovely night at Joyce. Every time is a new and delightful experience. Once you go once, you will definitely will be back again. Love Joyce! 💙

Really wonderful meal. The cocktails were so delicious and inventive, the oysters fresh and melt your mouth. The cornbread was a smallish portion but rich and buttery. For mains the kale in curry, the whole sea bass and the 40 hr short rib were fantastic. We didn’t love the cold cauliflower romesco starter - kind of a mush - and our dessert was disappointing- an overly cakey blueberry cobbler with icy ice cream. Our server was lovely but remiss in checking in on us for a second round of drinks or wine, which we finally ended up getting but only at the end of our meal. In fairness it was super busy, and I’m glad of that. Bill was over $125pp so plan to spend!

The experience from the food to service was fantastic!! I was excited to support the business after reading other reviews and seeing images of the food and restaurant, but I was so impressed. I sat at the bar and ordered small plates only and every single dish was not only delicious but complimented each other. My bartender Sasha was beyond amazing and will definitely be at the next cookout. You really can’t go wrong.

Service staff was very friendly and location was central with parking structures nearby. Food was very tasty, a little overpriced but understandable as the kitchen staff is exceptional. There are three menus (Weekday Lunch, Brunch and Dinner-we had the Brunch) that offer unique items that the other menus don't. I'm a bit of a caviar snob so I wasn't a fan of that particular item. Overall, very enjoyable meal and atmosphere. Wish the portions were bigger as I will have to save up for a bit before I can afford to come back:(

Perfect for a night out with friends! Loved the color palette of the interior and the seating area right by the bar. We sat on the patio & had plenty of warmth from the heaters. Our service was fantastic; the perfect balance of check-ins and being left alone. The cocktails were so tasty & refreshing. In addition, our servers went above and beyond as they helped us celebrate our special occasions. Our servers ensured we knew what food items to order and even treated us to dessert! Will absolutely be going back!

The service was impeccable and the food was unreal. Please do yourself a favor and order the cornbread, the short rib, fried hen, and Mac and cheese!!!!

Undercooked corn bread, bland Mac and cheese, and the cobbler is a cake. Catfish was good tho.

La’Nae (forgive me if I misspelled) was an Absolute DREAM! She gave the perfect drink (the peach spritzer 🤌🏾) and food recommendations. MUST TRY: - cornbread 10/10 - catfish 12/10 - warm crab dip 10/10
