Nice waitress but the food was a little cold, poached eggs a little too runny, service a little slow. I will say the beignets were delightful tho and I would go back just for those and a glass of champagne!

The food was great. We have some issue with the kind of pasta, replaced without asking, but we enjoyed the food the environment and the drinks! Polenta and meatballs for starters where delicious! Caccio e peppe and orecchirtte a must!

Absolutely fantastic dining experience-personable and attentive service, superb food, and fun/hip atmosphere! We enjoyed the following: antipasto, headcheese (the chow chow was delish!), caesar salad, roasted carrots, broccolini (incredible!), Rigatoni (healthy portion), Tortelloni (wish there was more it was so good!), Canneloni (out of this world), Lasagna (delicious but a smaller portion), and Duck (tender, flavorful, wonderful). The desserts did not disappoint either-pana cotta and the seasonal strawberry mille feuille. Jaime's knowledge of Italian wines and pairings were impressive, especially accommodating a variety of wine preferences at our table. The diners observed throughout the restaurant ranged from girls' night, dates, and family gatherings (some inclusive of younger children seemingly also pleased with their dining experience and a well-rounded palate). Add JE to your list of go-to experiences; you won't be disappointed.

We really wanted to like this restaurant, but the order in which our plates came out made it difficult. We got three entrees before the last appetizer came out. Some plates were good but not enough to go back.

Wonderful brunch experience for Mother’s Day. We were seated quickly for our reservation. Moms were given a single rose upon entrance. Jazz trio made for a nice atmosphere. Food was all wonderful. My mom said it was her favorite brunch I’ve ever brought her too. She loved the in house made biscuits and parfait. Just great job all around. We will be back.

Decided to go for brunch on Mother’s Day after getting a recommendation from a family member who had gone a week before. It was one of the worst server experiences I’ve ever had. We waited at least 10 minutes after being seated for our server to appear and pour water. She had passed our table multiple times before finally stopping - and even then I wasn’t sure she was our server because she didn’t introduce herself. I thought she might have just been covering someone else’s table. Also, the restaurant wasn’t very busy and there appeared to be plenty of wait staff for the crowd. We ordered coffees and they came to our table half spilled in the saucers. The server apologized but made no effort to give us napkins or remake the coffees. Then all the food came out at once - appetizers alongside the entrees. The shrimp and grits were still in their shells, which is fine, but it would have been nice to know that before ordering. Ultimately, it didn’t taste very good so we had to send it back. My pancakes were good, but $15 for 3 pancakes is pretty steep. As someone who has worked in the service industry before, I have a lot of patience for wait staff, but this was just levels of bad that I haven’t seen in a while and definitely not something I would expect from a restaurant like this. I think these are very correctable issues and I would be willing to try it again, but not for a while.

Went with group of friends after JazzFest on a Sunday. Great atmosphere and there is a jazz club off the shared hotel lobby. Food was excellent. Five people ordered pasta and one ordered the fish special. All dishes were excellent.

The restaurant was so loud we had to yell to communicate. Food came out cold. The pasta was so hard on the end you couldn’t chew it. Food wasn’t season well at all.

The triple tail fish and the sauce was amazing, the sauce should be bottled and sold. The orchiette pasta was just okay and a little gummy, I would have rather had the fish…the Caesar salad was quite basic for $14–service was great, there was a large party in the back who was a little noisy but not unbearable—again the fish and the sauce 10/10

Our waitress, Chyna, was great! She provided excellent service and made detailed suggestions about what to order. She had the perfect balance of making sure we had everything we needed without hovering too much. The Rigatoni Bolognese and the meatball sandwich were fantastic, and the chocolate pistachio dessert was the perfect ending. Great job!

Booked an early dinner reservation so restaurant was not full..thus noise level was low and we could actually have a conversation. Beautiful room, Waiter seemed distracted brought us Prosecco instead of the sparkling rose we ordered. Took several minutes to get his attention to correct. Ordered Caesar..it was OK, Cachio Pepe Brussels..they were absolutely amazing. Ordered two pastas.. spaghetti Nero, delicious, and Caramelle. Sauce was good but undercooked gummy fresh pasta.. we skipped desert as restaurant was filling up and getting loud. Brussels were the highlight of the evening!

Meatballs - very dense and not at all melt in your mouth like. Lasagna - minimal sauce, brisket was chewy/tough, cheese on top… burnt.

Went here with 7 girls for a Bachelorette trip and the staff and food were incredible! Everyone was so nice and everything we ate was delicious. Our drinks took a while to come out so our waitress comped them! We were also in wigs and everyone loved it. The bride had a blast! I will definitely go back next time I visit New Orleans!

We had a wonderful time at Josephine Estelle. The red snapper (gulf catch) was delicious, service was great and we were able to carry on a nice conversation in a quiet manner. Will definitely recommend it to friends!

We enjoyed all aspects of the experience - food, service, ambience, and as we sat in the courtyard, the noise level was perfect!

Very accommodating staff. We asked if outside seating was available and they said it was closed for the season but they opened up a table for us and served us outside on a beautiful day. The food was delicious. Portions were not large but enough.

The restaurant is beautiful and the ambience is very modern and fun. The food was great, our inconvenient was with our server that was not welcoming and had zero patience with us, we were a group of 8 including 2 over 80 years old grandparents visiting New Orleans for the first time who don’t speak English.

We were one of only 4 or 5 tables filled in the room. Nice location but had that hotel restaurant vibe - connected to what looks like a historic hotel but had mid-80s style decor. Food was good but sort of ordinary, like you would get at Olive Garden.

This was marketed as an “experience” and a “jazz brunch” and it absolutely was not. There was no live music and the crowd noise was so loud and the minima music coming from a record player was impossible to hear. Our waiter, JaQuincy, was WONDERFUL, but he was overwhelmed. And my husband’s crab Benedict had a crab ratio on it that I hope my orange juice has in my mimosa—and let’s just say I am looking for color, not flavor. Although my lemon ricotta pancake and yogurt parfait were delicious, I still would not go back, unfortunately.
