Outstanding service. Excellent drinks before dinner(try the gin gimlet) and wine by the glass with dinner. Great house salad and croutons!! The best bruschetta in Houston! Delicious pork piccata and parm crusted pork (schnitzel) with excellent hollandaise sauce. This restaurant can compete with the best of Houston.

Outstanding!! Everything was delicious!! Wow!! This was my first time at this location and I love it! Sea Bass was Delicious!! Panko shrimp in sweet chili sauce soo good!! Bolognese wonderful! Chicken Alfredo creamy and yummy! Our server Jennifer F. was great!! We celebrated two bdays— thank you for the Tiramisu on the house!! We will definitely be back!! ❤️ 💯 +

Food and service were good $32 for 8 grill shrimp is crazy expensive won’t be back because of that Jonathan check you prices that $20 at the most. The place was half empty on a Friday probably because of the prices. Jonathan get the prices down and you will have more customers

Always a good meal here. First time having the burger and it was cooked as I asked - very tasty. Hubby had a salad with tuna that he enjoyed. Very attentive service. Always a pleasure to come here.

It was fried chicken night and you can't keep my husband away. I personally wanted something different. I never order pasta in a restaurant because I make it so well at home. But...I ordered the pappardelle bolognese. I was amazed! It was fantastic! Full of meat and vegies and a superb tasting sauce. Accompanied by a nice dry rose and I was in heaven. (Now you should be told, Jonathan is my brother. And I always swore my bolognese was better - I was wrong!)

A great place for lunch or dinner. We’ve only been in for dinner a couple of times but both times the food, drinks and service was excellent. Can’t wait to return to try something new on the menu. Keep up the good work and people will come!

Sunday Fried Chicken Dinner. In the South that is the meal you eat after Church, not at supper, which is normally in the evening. I made reservations for the noon seating expecting to be able to order that advertised meal, but was told it was only available at the Sunday evening seating. So I had breakfast. Everything was good, but I was disappointed in not being able to order my Sunday Fried Chicken dinner.

We hadn't been there for quite some time in the evening, and were so pleasantly surprised by the wonderful menu and warm "chic neighborhood restaurant" feel. Definitely recommend!

Food was fantastic as usual. Service was a little slow. Seemed like our waiter was moved to help out at the bar. Maybe someone didn’t show up for work. But everyone was friendly and professional.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday. My husband had the gumbo as an appetizer, which he said was amazing. I had the cheese and tomato bruschetta and it was delicious. It was huge and really well packed with toppings. Then my husband ordered the cheeseburger, which he said was one of the best burgers he's had in a long time (and he is a cheeseburger aficionado!) I had the Houston salad with dressing on the side and the chicken was flavored and cooked to perfection. I partook in some of the cocktails, too, and they even made me an off-the-menu red sangria (as the one on the menu had tequila in, which I'm not a fan of) and it was lovely. So lovely I ordered it again :) The server was excellent. We sat outside and it was the ideal temperature to do so and it was nice and quiet. This was one of the best meals we've had in a long while and we eat out regularly. We'll definitely be returning again very soon. Thank you!

Both food and service were excellent. The prime rib was cooked just as we asked. The wine was affordable and had good selections from which to choose. This was our first visit here - we will definitely return!

I have probably been to to Jonathan’s over 50 times over the years. Jonathan’s is a great place for quality food and dining experience without the pretense that can come with a restaurant of this caliber. On this latest visit, I enjoyed the tortilla soup and redfish & pico entree. Both items were delicious. I will be back again soon!

I was looking forward to Sunday fried chicken special but the chicken was just blah. It was not the same fried chicken as pre-covid when I used to order it on Wednesdays. That said, my husbands pot roast was exceptional. I will be ordering that dish next time. All in all, appreciative of the good service for a busy Sunday evening.

This is for the owner or chief. I ordered a Waldorf salad. I have never had one with warm chicken without mayonnaise apples or grapes. I was very disappointed I should’ve sent it back. Please change the name of that salad, since it is not anywhere near a Waldorf salad Thank you

Hi miss Lucy! I remember you specifically, you came in the side door and I politely asked if I could help you and you brushed me off without even looking at me. I’m sorry but the wonderful thing about creating your own menu or dish is that it doesn’t have to be classic or how anyone else does it. As long as it it states on the menu what the ingredients are I think a chef can do whatever they desire. Our menu clearly states what comes on our JTR Waldorf salad. We have been serving the same salad for almost 20 years and is a guest favorite. Please reach out as I would love to give you a full refund for the trouble at 713-447-3994. This place has definitely improved their whole experience with the move to this location. Nice digs, open feel and somehow the noise level seemed to be less than most of the new contemporary spaces around town. All of the courses were good. None of us were blown away by anything but "solid" probably is an accurate description. Entres were the perfectly cooked pork chop (covered by a tad bit too sweet BBQ sauce), the pasta Del Rio (cool Tex/Mex/ Italiano fusion), crab cakes and the always excellent shrimp and grits. Everyone agreed a return visit will soon be experienced. Almost forgot, really good service from Taylor even though she had more tables working than many servers could handle.

We ordered Snapper and pork parmigiana. Both were well prepared and tasty. Sides are large and chocolate cakes is to die for. Comfortable atmosphere. Loved it.

Come early for Brunch on a Sunday, starts to fill up quickly. Food was great, espresso martini was delicious, Jonathan stopped by our table and said hello!!! Will definitely be back!!!

We love JTR at Campbell, one of our most favorite places to go to in Houston. Food and drinks are always on point. On this occasion, it was so loud inside that I could not hear my wife sitting 3 feet in front of me. My filet was too oily, greasy or buttery, possibly from the chimichurri that came with it (Gaucho Filet). I don't recommend it unless you like eating oily, greasy food. Wait staff are fantastic. Bill is on point for the quality of food and experience.

Jonathan’s is great! It’s been the perfect neighborhood week night date spot for me and my wife. I’m sure it’s just as great every other night of the week, but that’s when we go. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly and personable, and it’s lively without being obnoxious.
