Food was horrible fries were ice cold when I asked for more fries they gave me more ice cold fries. Then they took em back and put them in the grease and they came back rock hard. And the potato sales taste like water.

It was Mother’s Day. This is my second visit. We came before the Patti LaBelle concert on Mother’s Day. My family had never been there. We all enjoyed the food. Everything was fresh. Service was great.

Overall, my experience was just "okay." We made a reservation for 1:30, but did not get seated until about 45 minutes later. The wait staff was friendly, but clearly under staffed for Mother's Day. However, I spilled my drink all over myself and the floor, and no one offered to help and when the food runner dropped off our food, she said, "she would wait for me to clean up." Speaking of food, the entrees and shakes were good, but the spinach dip was the worst I've ever had. Very very thick, and would break the chips with each dip. Avoid at all costs IMO. Overall, the experience was okay and I think I would prefer to go back during a non-peak time or not during a holiday to give it another chance.

The service was terrible, besides the manager who was especially kind and took care of the special requests we had. The brunch food we ordered was very average, with the shake being the one redeeming quality. It took extremely long, as well.

Large portions of great tasting food. Service was a tad bit slow but it was a holiday and the Tiger’s were playing. Everyone was friendly and the desserts were delicious.

Service was a little slow but still good. Server had a pleasant attitude and a good sense of humor. Ordered Brunch food (the chilaquiles). Tasted great but wasn’t hot, and the tortilla chips were soggy when they brought it out. Had a great time though and the mini floral bouquet making was nice.

We went for my daughters birthday and this was our first visit. We made reservations and were seated within 3 minutes. The food and shakes were really good and creative, the kids really enjoyed. Our waitress Markie made the experience even better.

We went here for girls night In celebration of Annie bring in town. When my daughter and I arrived, I noticed the two families in front of us easily being seated indoors. I was told by the ushers there were no tables available inside of the restaurant due to reservations and the wait being 1 to 2 hours. So we sat outside until my young daughter began complaining of being too cold. I logged on Red-table and noticed there were several time slots to get a table indoors, so I booked a 5:15 slot at 5:05, I nicely showed my reservation to the usher who looked like he’d been busted. Not sure why he didn’t want to honor our request, however, I managed to get a table. Our server was very nice however, the restaurant wasn’t very clean. The bathrooms had no paper towel and the toilet paper wasn’t in the protective cover, just sitting out. I also received my food with plastic utensils due to the restaurant being out of utensils. Not sure if I’ll return! To me restrooms are a clear indication of the cleanliness of a restaurant, I also didn’t appreciate being turned away from an indoor table despite there being several tables that remained empty until we left at 6:10. The prices are too high to not have a quality experience.

We made a reservation to bring our son here for his birthday but were told if we wanted to sit inside it would be another 45 minute wait. We had tickets to the Fox after dinner so we had to sit outside in the cold. Be aware that your reservation time may not be honored.

We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time. As a party of 9, we were sat at two different booths that faced each other but did not allow conversation due to the distance of the booths and the noise level of the restaurant. We were not able to be relocated to a better seating arrangement for the birthday celebration. We were not issued an apology for the inconvenience of the 20 minute late seating. On the positive, our server was fantastic! She was personable, attentive, and accurate with our order. The shakes were exactly as pictured and the food was fresh and tasty. If you visit, bring your patience (even if you have a reservation) and be prepared for a very energetic (loud/active) environment and you'll have a good time.

Food is overpriced, had to pay extra for sides. Server did not deliver all drinks and food at the same time, so half the table was left waiting for theirs to arrive. One person paid extra for the vegan patty on the Windy City smash burger and only got one patty. Burger was advertised as a two patty burger. Wouldn’t recommend

Fries were really hard, shakes were good. They automatically charge gratuity for a 3 person party and don’t tell you. I didn’t like that. Food was really expensive but tasted mediocre.

Great atmosphere and great food. The burgers were hot and steaming when they arrived at the tables. The fries were crispy but not greasy. And the shakes were crazy good. Only negative was the hot chocolate brownie was a strange, spongy texture. Probably wouldn’t order it again. Overall, the experience was worth the drive downtown.

My husband and I loved this place as much as our girls. The fries were very crispy to us that’s the best fry. One of my girls ordered Mac n cheese and both of my girls loved it. Not Kraft! Spiral noodles topped with breadcrumbs. Both of my girls my girls at all their food. #Winning The cake pop in the shake was amazing. The only reason I gave 4 stars for service was because everytime we needed our server she was no where to be found but when she was there she was awesome, all the staff was very kind.

The server was great. The food was overpriced I had a nada burger it cost $18 bucks. It was not glamorous The shakes were a good price and presentation. The wings were all one temperature not mild as requested. The person that sat us down as us to be done in an hour.

Great place ONLY for Ice cream shakes. The food was subpar. I had a So-called SMASH burger...the bun was over toasted, the meat had no flavor or distinguishable taste...not even from whatever sauce was suppose to be on there. And the waffle fries had no taste whatsoever either and their very light color makes them look like they're undercooked. Also had the Mozarella Sticks as an Appetizer, however, they didn't bring them before the meal...they brought them with the meal and they were room temperature, hard and the cheese on the inside was stiff and not chewy at all. I didn't even know that was possible. My Grandbabies had the Chicken Strips ( and what child doesn't like chicken strips?) However these were over cooked and dried out that made it a chore to eat. We left all the un-eaten food on our plates and had no reason for a Take-home box. The Shakes were good. And I was out and average of $90 for the 3 of us. Plus $25 for Parking in the nearby LOT. I did love the way that the whole Block was closed off and the other Restaurants and Stores that lined the street. A very kool urban romantic feel...even with overhead Ciesta Stringed Lights.

Hosts were friendly and prompt, we were sat right away (we had a reservation). A server didn't come over for almost 10 minutes and tried to walk away once she took our drink orders, but we let her know we were ready to order. She was waving and talking to other people in the restaurant while taking our order, so she kept asking "anything else for you today?" and that was frustrating. She grabbed the plates from the person delivering our food and then never came back. We had to flag someone else down to get our bill. The food was good - a little too much dressing on the salad, but I'll know to ask for it on the side next time. Our food came out so fast and it was hot. I've been here before and had great service, so this could have been a one off. I would still go back to this location.

For the group dinning experience.... If someone pays nearly 700 for a party of 14, they should be sat TOGETHER. When reseverving for the large party, it should be FULLY explained or displayed that you & your guest will order from a simplified menu not the normal restaurant menu. The group dinning menu needs to be accommodating to those who don't eat meat not just the 3 items. I would recommend to a friend for just shakes and maybe appetizers.

Checking in was fast and great courtesy. The place had an overall great vibe with the exception of 4 employees crowded at a table near our table that were BS there. Some were sitting in the booth and others were standing making the area more crowded for people who were working and giving off the vibe like people standing over you while you ate kind of thing. Our wait staff was kind and professional. A con to the place- 2 bathrooms and this place gets busy. Overall, food was delicious and i would go again for sure.

Only allowed 90min max, so don't plan on drinks and socializing. Mandatory 18% tip even if you didn't get good service. Small portions of the sides and add on items. Expensive.

This was our first time at JoJo’s Detroit. We’ve been in Chicago and I must say, I love this location! The atmosphere was lively and fun, the food came out super quick and our shake was delicious. All of the staff were upbeat and seemed to be loving what they do. Worth checking out and we will for sure go back!

We have been focused on downtown Detroit restaurants this year. We went here for the Detroit Tigers Opening Day. The music was so loud I could not hear myself think. I had a glass of Rose and my husband had a beer. We shared spinach artichoke dip. It was so bad that I did NOT bother to order lunch. The hubby had a smash burger. And smashed it was. He did not eat it. They didn't even turn the music off so we could enjoy the game. 75.00 dollars later.......NEVER AGAIN. Maybe a good place for kiddos. But no self-respecting adult would be caught dead here.

I will not be going back to this restaurant. I made a reservation for 5:45 and was told we have to wait 45 minutes to get sat. What was the point of making a reservation? I couldn’t wait that long because I had a concert to go to afterwords. We sat at the bar. The bar tender seemed rude and not happy to be working. We waiting about 20 minutes before we were even helped. Poor service.

It was just ok. The music was INSANELY loud. Right after we sat down, as our server was greeting us the manager turned it up. The server went to ask them to turn it down but apparently the manager told her a table wanted it louder and refused to turn it down. It was way too loud and really made it hard to hear each other. Our server was very nice, but she did mistakenly bring us an appetizer we didn't order (probably because she could barely hear us order), and we told her that. She said she would get it taken off the bill but offered to leave it since they would just "throw it out anyways". We said OK and then it was still on our bill at then end. My husband mentioned that to her and she said "but I left it - I thought you wanted it". What? It was really confusing but she did get it taken off the bill so we appreciate that. Overall the food was just OK - my niece's salad had random things in it that weren't listed on the menu, and they didn't put any sauce on my husband's sandwich. I have been there before with my daughter and it was a great experience, so maybe they just missed the ball on this one.

Thought they used a fresh fish for the fish and chips , due to the $16 price. Instead I got a Boxed “Gordon the fisherman” fish fillet That’s my only complaint everyone else food looked to be sufficient

Everything was fantastic! The food selection was so vast we had a hard time choosing, but each of 7 diners got something different and we all loved our picks! The environment is so fun and the staff was great!

I saw an event on eventbrite for egg painting and thought it sounded like a fun date night and wow, it was so underwhelming. We bought tickets for Saturday and then set up the reservation like the details on eventbrite said. So we get there today and they ask what we're celebrating and I tell them we bought the egg painting tickets for today. Our server seemed shocked and demanded to see our tickets. Which like why didn't they check the reservation nor verify beforehand that we had bought tickets? The manager came by later to say they made a mistake and weren't supposed to sell tickets for the weekend and asked if we really wanted to do the egg painting then. Was I supposed to say, nah we'll come back another day after we drove out here and already paid for parking? What a weird question. Our server later told us that her other manager told her to flat out deny our tickets and say we can use them another day. The tickets said we'd get some food and a biggie shake. Spoiler alert, you couldn't pick any biggie shake. They gave us 3 options and frankly none of them looked all that great. We got the Jojo fries and mozzarella sticks for apps. They were ok. Nothing super great. Just average. For the entrees, we got a smash burger and nada burger. I have seen more appetizing burgers at mcdonalds. Also like how are you gonna charge folks like $15 for a single patty burger and not even give them fries? And then for the shakes, we got the peeps & cream and peep show. The peeps & cream was melting by the time it got to the table. I still don't understand why we couldn't get a biggie shake, you know the thing the tickets said we could get. Finally for the egg painting, I have no complaints. That was the only part I actually enjoyed. But like we could have gotten applebees and gotten better foods for less money. Like that's how low the bar is. The only thing going for it is that it's a really instagramable place. But everything else is pretty trash
