Overall great dining experience. The cocktail menu was inventive and actually had a hard time deciding which beverage to try. Opted for the Pineapple Bourbon Sour which was superb. Nice, varied menu with steakhouse options as well as a nice array of seafood, ribs, burgers and corned beef. Good portions for the price also. A dinner entree includes a salad, croissant and side which is refreshing at a steakhouse these days when these offering are often a la carte or extra. Gabi provided friendly and professional service. Would definitely return if ever in the Dunwoody area again.

Great service and great food! Ribeyes were perfect medium rares, best french fries I’ve had in a while! Ambience was a little lackluster but it was a weekday at lunch so I’ll put it on that. Calamari was really good, probably the best I’ve had in Atlanta. Overall would recommend!

Our main entrees took 45 or more minutes to get ready. Our server was very overwhelmed and checked very little on us. I understand it was busy from it being Mother’s Day, but we had small children that aren’t as patient.

this is one of my favorite places to eat-it was mothers day so it was very crowded-our appointment was for 3:30pm so we were seated at 3:47pm which wasnt bad-our fries were over cooked so we were given another order-the manager came over and offered deserts for everyone on the house so that was nice! I will be back.

My husband goes to business lunches a lot here. Has for 15 years, so it’s definitely been consistent for him. Yesterday we went for Mother’s Day. I chose here because they didn’t have a buffet or price fixed menu which happens a lot on Mother’s Day Understandably busy. Our food was definitely mediocre. It likely isn’t this way on a normal day. The a/c temp was uncomfortably cold. My elderly Mom was having some trouble with it. We would just bring up another subject to her when she mentioned it. The salmon on my salad was really cold, and the cheese on everyone’s burgers at the table..there were three..was ice cold too. It was bizarre. My husband and I didn’t want to complain or pile on. We knew it was busy and the kitchen was overloaded most likely. I might go back for a date night, but would not go back with my elderly parents or for a holiday of any sort. Our waiter was kind. He was busy too, and we never made him aware of our issues, so I can’t blame him.

We had a reservation on Open Table and we were seated right away in a nice private booth .out server was Swayne , who was very attentive . We ordered immediately to be considerate of our time there. Our salad was served pretty quickly and next was our delicious entree. It was a perfect Mother’s Day.

Well the family is in Richmond for Wyatt’s graduation. For several reasons I did not make the trip. Couple of things before the meat of the review: - The room. Some complain about this room being noisy. It is. There are more intimate rooms in Atlanta and everyone has their own taste in that regard. But when I’m in THIS room looking back across it to the backlit bar, there is no better room. - The music. Tonight there was almost an old rock vibe. I heard Aerosmith. Santana. ZZ Top and “Money” from Dark Side of the Moon. This is likely the most technically proficient album in history seconded by Aja of Steely Dan and of course the song “Black Cow”. I was seated by a charming young lady from the hostess stand and greeted by my server Guy and placed my drink order, Tito’s and soda with a lemon. Quite quenching. I ordered a steak that being the New York Strip. I would typically order a strip Medium and a ribeye or filet medium rare but for some reason ordered it medium rare. It was delivered as ordered but in the future will opt for medium. Really good steak and I had fries. Maybe the best batch of fries I’ve had there in a while. My salad was of course Caesar. It came and I had to take a moment to compose myself. Over dressed. A little much in the grated cheese department for mere mortal Caesar eaters . It is perfect the way it is served and I hope they never change a thing. I’ve never associated food with anything amorous, unless of course it’s Giada de Laurentis cooking whatever she would be cooking on the Food Network in a tank top … too much information?…. But this salad is MY salad from the first bite to the last. I enjoyed one glass and one glass only of the Van Duzer Pinot Noir with my meal. It is always a treat to have Ryan come over and chat when I’m there. He’s never in a hurry and I appreciate him taking time to chat for a few minutes when I/we visit. All in all another great meal and enjoyable experience at my place, Joey D’s.

Our ladies group went here for pre-mother's day luncheon. It was wonderful. We had a reservation so we did not have to wait. The food, delicious, the ambience, fantastic, and the service, absolutely fabulous!! We tasted a variety of foods, shrimp, prime rib, double rack baby backs, tilapia, calimari, lemon pepper wings, and everything was hot, fresh, delectable! We will definitely go there again.

The food was a real disappointment. The famous corn beef sandwich was unedible. The meat was tough and tasteless. We have eaten at Joey D's many times but this visit was a REAL letdown.

Always a good meal and a good time however tonight the bartender was asleep at the switch. Our second round took about 20 minutes and the restaurant was in no way crowded, but the bartender makes a fine cocktail … once the drinks do arrive.

We dined outside last night because the inside dining room was a bit chilly and the noise level was high. The food was amazing, the house salad was crisp & delicious. Our drinks were served quickly. The service was excellent.

Both entrees really lacked in seasoning quality. My date even sent her trout back to get a burger. My chicken parm was mid at best. Server was great and very apologetic. She took good care of us.

The service was great!! The food was awesome as well. Overall my purse got stolen out of my car. It’s sad to say the Area is nice. But please be aware of the things that are happening in the parking lot.

We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks to be served but then once we ordered our food it was timely. We enjoyed sitting outside. The food was delicious and highly recommend the brownie sundae for dessert.

We had a delightful lunch to celebrate a birthday. We sat outside since the noise level inside is always terrible. We really enjoyed our lunch outside and had wonderful service.

I enjoy coming to Joey D's Oak Room and even though I am often dining alone, I receive excellent service. The Caesar salad, filet and the creamed spinach were all excellent. Highly recommend dining at Joey D's.

Drinks still continue to come late and wrong with waiters now asking if you’d like to order ahead of drinks arrival as normal now. Then this is the 3rd time the bartender has no clue how to make a classic drink “dry martini with vodka”. 3rd time ending up not drinking at all but water. Waste of a beautiful bar to have inexperienced and slow bartenders. I often see the blonde eating fries at the bar while working, gross. Unfortunately I don’t think we will be spending anymore money on Joey D’s it’s not worth it to spend over $100 for a terrible dinning experience when I consider this to be fine dining. Our waitress at one point even leaned over the back of the booth and asked if we were ok instead of coming around to us at the table side. It’s just continued bad experiences.
