Le Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen est le quatrième restaurant new-yorkais du restaurateur vétéran, Chris Cannon. C'est un restaurant d'inspiration américaine et italienne. Le restaurant se situe en plein cœur de l'historique Vail Mansion de Morristown. Le Oyster Bar à Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen propose une vaste sélection, dont un bar cru, du salami, des fromages et des petites assiettes pour la table, en plus d'entrées de la ferme à la table. Les clients peuvent commander des cocktails au Vail Bar, ou sélectionner un vin à partir d'une liste de 450 bouteilles, dont plus de 30 vins au verre et une sélection tournante de 50 vins de moins de 50 USD. Les réservations sont acceptées 30 jours à l'avance. Jockey Hollow offre également une semaine de réservations au Vail Bar, un bar à cocktails inspiré des années 1920 qui se situe dans la bibliothèque du manoir.

We were celebrating a birthday but it was never acknowledged. We had a lovely dinner. The cauliflower tahini with pita bread was outstanding appetizer as were the mussels. The octopus was good. The red curry seafood was a great choice too. We did not have dessert and we did have glasses of white wines with our meal.

Jockey Holley was and is always fantastic. From the scenery, energetic vibes and excellent service; it never disappoints. The food was delicious and perfect portion size. I always impress friends when going.

Both of our visits to JHB&K have been fantastic. Having just moved from the City this is becoming our go to date night spot when we have a baby sitter. Derrick the Som has been awesome, on each visit he’s introduced us to a producer and region we were unfamiliar with. The first was a fantastic cab franc from Australia and second and epic Pinot from Germany. The vibe, food and service are all not to be missed.

First of all, we ordered the mussels and 25% of them came in the dish closed. Next we ordered the thai main course and it came cold. Not once did any one come over and ask how are dinner was. They were non existent! No one came by to pick up out dishes. We had to call over an attendant to clean our table!! I consider my self a foodie and this place is definitely on my miss list going forward!!

I was in town on business and had been dreaming all day about having a burger and bourbon for dinner, and JH didn’t disappoint. The sea salt fries were so good, I ordered a backup order. If you appreciate a good bourbon, this is your place. I sat in the back bar which I find intimate and charming, and the server generously offered a couple tastes of bourbons I never had before. I settled on Four Roses Single Barrel for an old fashion, which of course was perfectly crafted.

The fried chicken came with one thigh and a couple of pieces of pickled lettuce. The presentation was ridiculous. The plate was empty and unenticing. The cocktails were good. We were a table of three and our third was sitting on the side of the small table next to a pillar and next to the entrance of the room like where you'd put a high chair - not a nice way to treat your guests. The portion of the desserts was bigger than our entrees, which is also not ideal. Our servers were nice, but they didn't check on us as often as they should have. The real horror show of the night was the parking. We were driving around endlessly looking for parking. It was a mess. The restaurant needs valet parking.

The servers were okay. The bartender overreacting to the waitress upset us. The food was cold, no real taste and was way over priced. Will not be back. Lot of better restaurants in Morristown. Worth skipping.

Beautiful building. Great bar / bar seating area. Absolutely delicious food (we had the asparagus salad, cheddar biscuits, and two different pastas). Very good service. Good sound track. Nice wine list with a wide-range of prices. My only 'complaint' was that the server cleared away my half eaten cheddar biscuit (they are so good I didn't want to give up one bite!). My husband and I travel a fair amount and eat out when we do. Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen was a very pleasant surprise and we will go back the next time we are in Morristown, NJ.

My only issue is that they placed us nestled between two other full tables where there were plenty of empty tables. Your tables are so close, you hear what the table next to you is saying.

This has been my go-to birthday location for several years since moving out of Manhattan- it is one of the most creative menus and the whole package is top notch. Friends from Chicago were in town and wanted to take me to the best place around, so I booked here without hesitation. The experience was sadly not as it has been in the past. The room was freezing, the music was too loud for the small crowd (Sunday night) and the menu choices were lackluster… even the dishes were average when they are usually A+… everyone can have a bad night, so I am not giving up on this venue, but it was quite the disappointment.

Got a gift certificate for Jockey Hollow (never had been for) the experience was excellent. Service was top notch, but not on top of you. Well informed staff on all food and wine questions/suggestions. Food was amazing! Can not wait to return.

It was a horrible experience. They squished us in a corner table for 2 we were the only ones in the place to start so was very surprised. Than servers were just standing around talking and not attentive to our table, again now maybe 3 tables had guest’s. Menu was sub par and food was just ok with small portions of food and very overpriced. A burger for $30!

Our party arrived for brunch and had the cheddar biscuits and tahini for our appetizers and had a range of entrees. Our favorite was definitely the tahini followed closely by our side of crispy potatoes. The wait staff was attentive offering refills of coffee and tea throughout the meal.

A beautiful space, well-trained wait staff, and a great bar. The menu has a good variety and seems to change fairly regularly. We had oysters which were quite good; red thai curry which was a bit bland, the sea trout (which resembled salmon) which was cooked perfectly but also very lightly seasoned. For dessert, we had the angel cake with a lemon afogato/granita that was wonderfully tart and refreshing. Will definitely be back to see if we can find some more enticing items on the menu and enjoy the ambiance. Also note the wine list is quite good and the sommelier makes the extra effort to make it special.

We absolutely love the atmosphere in the oyster bar - except for the noise level. The food was tasty but arrived luke warm. The service was great except at the end when we were told the next reservation was waiting at the bar for us to leave.

The friendly and expert service at the bar was as we expected since our late visit. Fabulous. We sat down to dinner at was more if the same. Attentive friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at the oyster bar is so much fun to experience, we brought friends back.

We had a delicious meal over the weekend, followed by some really interesting drinks at the Vail Bar. Definitely a great place to have dinner and drinks before a show at the Mayo Theater. Not only was dinner delicious, they use such interesting flavors so we had dishes that we have never had before but they also don't seem like they are trying too hard. Just fantastic, well made, interesting food. And the drinks are so cool and fun, definitely will be back again for another celebration or night out!
