Feast on artfully prepared Japanese cuisine at Jin Sho. Its contemporary setting features an open kitchen and sushi bar for guests to watch the skillful chefs prepare their meals. Jin Sho owners and Executive Chefs Ichiro Takahashi and Noriomi Kaneko bring a fusion of flavor to creative dishes using fresh, quality ingredients.

Guests can start their dining experience with a Yellowtail Jalapeño or Miso Black Cod Appetizer marinated for 3 days. They can then enjoy an entrée of an array of seasonal fish or enjoy a higher quality of common nigiri such as Blue Fin Tuna from Japan. We are excited to serve you many different kinds of fish beyond what you may find at other establishments. The chefs work tirelessly with distributors to bring the best and most unique fish & sake.

Established in 2007, Jin Sho has reviews in San Francisco Magazine and San Jose Mercury News. Prior to opening JIN SHO, the chefs mastered their craft at Nobu NY.

I would return. Service was friendly but slow. Food was excellent, and the price is reasonable.

Dined here many times in the past but my most recent experience illustrated why this once busy location is now quiet. The server declined the availability of a menu with descriptions, never returned to the table to check on our needs, and never offered to refill water glasses. Appetizers were held until hot entrees were ready and everything was brought to the table at once. Salmon entree was very over cooked and flavorless. Sashimi platter was served with a rice grain that was not sushi rice. Price was outrageously high for the product and service. Will not be returning to this once favorite spot.

We had an 8 pm reservation and when we sat down and brought waters they said please order quick as the kitchen closes at 8:30pm. WTH?! This was supposed to be a highly rated restaurant and this was a business dinner. So disappointed. The food was thrown together and everything so rushed. So we went next door to Terun for dessert and drinks, which is where we should’ve started in the first place.

Very delicious food! We had hamachi kama, omakase, some special daily sushi and off menu sushi, and duck soba. Everything we tried was good.

Delicious, authentic Japanese food impeccable service they were able to seat us inside despite opentable stating there were no inside tables available. yay! a little crowded inside would like ponzu with the hamachi kama, but you can ask for it we needed more dressing for our salad, but you can ask for it. no extra charge.

I felt as if I was back in Japan. Excellent quality, authentic and the service is beyond amazing! We eat here every time when we visit my college kid.

Excellent food with great service. Sushi was excellent and the food arrived very quickly. One suggestion-since California St. in Palo Alto is now permanently closed, the restaurant could note that on their website and suggest parking choices also.

Entire Sushi / Sashimi is so good, but you should try Black Cod Entree for starter. This was amazing.

Everything was good but nothing wowed me. Decent fresh sushi for the money so not walking away upset. We ate at 5:30 so wasn't packed yet they told us to order quickly because they had a lot of to go orders. Since when does a restaurant prioritize to go over actual patrons in the restaurant. They must have sensed my slight annoyance at that because the food came quickly and they said they made or order first. First time eating there and not much to say aside from it was a solid 3 stars overall.

authentic, delicious Japanese food. we got udon side (it's big!!) and soba side (also big!) unagi sushi, tamago sushi, agedashi tofu, corn tempura (big enough for 4 people) the salmon main dish didn't look great, kind of dry, disappointing the miso cod was delicious

Jin Sho was good, but I was expecting more. The food tastes delicious, the service was fine, the ambiance was ok. Overall, there was nothing bad about this place but we picked it for my girlfriends birthday because we thought it was going to be amazing.

Quite disappointed. We ordered some rolls, chicken karage, and the sushi omakase for sharing. The omakase fish clearly has been left out for a while and you can clearly taste it's not fresh. The karage was not sliced into even portions and it’s way too oily compare to other places. The food portion was also very poor and the five of us had to go for another meal else where after spending $200+ at this place + 18% mandatory service fee. I do not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality sushi.

Overall very good restaurant. A bit pricey. Seaweed salad was OK overpriced and not that flavorful. Sushi were good, service pleasant.

The food is always great quality and very fresh. I hadn’t visited in a long time, so I wasn’t expecting our food to take so long to be served especially since the restaurant wasn’t too busy.
