Jimoto is a locally owned and operated upscale casual American Sushi Restaurant located in downtown Winnetka. "Jimoto" is a Japanese term that can be translated as "local" or "hometown." In Japanese culture, "jimoto" often signifies a deep-rooted loyalty and support for the community, as well as a recognition of the local traditions, customs, and values. We aim to capture that essence when you visit us for a date night or just to satisfy your sushi craving! Some of the best sushi that we've found in the north suburbs of Chicago. The ambience is fantastic and the staff were very kind. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful restaurant, great service, and sushi is notably delicious! The roll with the seared tuna I think called Chicago fire roll was our favorite.

We like Jimoto, great food & service. I have gluten allergy, and they are easily able to accommodate. We will definitely be back.

Everything was excellent including the kid’s plate we requested of just rice and steamed veggies which they made to look pretty and special. Much appreciated.

Delish food. Very loud. Obnoxious to charge $6 for black rice. Loved our server.
