The Teng family welcomes you to our dining room, bar and bakery. We are a full service restaurant with an emphasis on the juicy dumplings. Our signature dish is the Small Juicy Steamed Dumpling, the pork dumpling with the soup inside. The extensive menu with dishes from Taiwan, Northern China and a few Sichuan dishes will suit the tastes of your family, friends and coworkers. Our quality dishes, excellent service and welcoming atmosphere make us the perfect restaurant for gatherings large or small. Jeng Chi is the house of joy.

Greatvplace for a large group of 6-10. Their round tables and lazy susans make it easy to chat with the whole group and share food. Food quality is consistently high.

We always enjoy this place! First, they have top notch teas from the Cultured Cup, and they perfectly balance the meal. The soup dumplings are a standout, but everything is great!

I made an 830pm reservation, when I arrived they let me know that I could only place a to go order. I am not familiar with this establishment I could not do so. But why would they make 830pm an option if it is not actually an option?? Am I missing something here? I was looking forward to soup dumplings. I would’ve loved to experience this menu but unfortunately the logistics need to be adjusted - I wish they would’ve just cancelled my reservation instead of me showing up and not being able to seat me.

Love their food and atmosphere. This time the kitchen was apparently backed up and the food all came out one entree at a time vs coming all at once. The waiter apologized but it wasn’t ideal if you like to eat more family style.

Excellent experience from the time we walked in until the time we walked out. Great service, delicious food, and an overall good time. Highly recommend trying.

Food as always was incredible. Service was a little slow but I guess it is to be expected on Mother’s Day. Overall the best Chinese restaurant around!

A long-time staple of the Richardson Asian food scene, Jeng Chi has lost none of it's magic over the years even as it has expanded physically. Seemingly always busy, the open kitchen where customers can watch the dumplings being formed by hand while their other dishes are prepared is still a cool view. Really, all the food is good to great, and they have a large menu that touches all the major regions of China and has something for everyone. Not romantic or intimate in the slightest, this is where you go for hearty Chinese food in a public setting that scratches the itch every time.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. It is almost an hour drive for use, but well worth the effort!
