Wanted to bring my mom somewhere new to celebrate a late Mother's Day and I stumbled upon Jemma on mighty Yelp. Reservations were easy to get on a Monday night through OpenTable so that was a huge plus. The hostess during our dinner shift was very friendly and even sat us earlier than our actual reservation time. The ambiance of the restaurant was something that you would want while eating delicious Italian food - cozy, welcoming and unpretentious. Our server, who I believe was named Christopher, was very knowledgable with their whole menu. He offered the house specials but we decided to stick to our plan. We started our meal with an order of calamari which I would say was pretty delicious even though it was a bit on the more pricey side. Regardless, it was very tasty and crispy! The sauces that come with the plate were also both delectable. This appetizer well with two cocktails we ordered which were the Niki and the Basil Marg. So refreshing with the right amount of alchohol. Moving on to the mains, we got The Bianco pizza and Orecchiette pasta. The pizza was uniquely flavored and cooked to perfection. Same goes with our choice of pasta which was somewhat spicy and infused with garlic but still ended up being very, very delicious. We ended our night with a Tiramisu and a cup of hot cappuccino with oat milk. This is a must order after all of those carbs that I will never regret eating. Thank you to the awesome team of Jemma for delivering a memorable dining experience.

There are so many other places to dine at in LA, this one will not be revisited. The quality nor portions did not equate to the price. The service was also not so great. The server was quite condescending. We will not be back. We're sad bc we heard great things. I hope others who choose to go here have a better experience.

Although we were late for our reservation, we were seated without issue. Robert, our waiter, was very personable and attentive. The cocktails and food were amazing! The meatballs were light and flavorful and the simple salad had just the right amount of dressing. Our pizza was delicious and was perfect for sharing for lunch. We enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant and will definitely be back!

Overpriced. Charged for refills of iced tea without informing us. $4 per glass and glass was small. $17 for 4 small slices of garlic bread. Food was good though.

A very mediocre experience overall. My espresso martini was excellent, as was the meatball appetizer, but the main course was only fair. The menu said "Osso buco," but what they served was a brased veal Chop. It was overcooked and average at best. Mt daughter's cace di pepi was overcooked, and all stuck together. In addition, we waited over 40 min from the serving of appetizers to receiving our dinner. Not a good experience.

Jemma is a nice, contemporary Italian restaurant with good food, pleasant service, and overpriced drinks. Pasta dishes are shareable. Recommended if you can afford it.

very disappointed-Watched interview on tv so asked my husband to drive an hour on our anniversary to try-the restaurant decor is lovely but the food was not what I expected-good but not great-certainly not worth the drive-everything served at room temperature not hot-I never send back nor make a fuss-At the prices I do not think necessary-no staff on duty just one waiter that was sweet but very difficult to understand-he even screwed checking open table for us-we received email while there so had to ask again to confirm done-another waiter came on duty eventually so service was okay the food was not

When we arrived the host seated up quickly and in a prime central location near the bar. The room is very energetic and bustling with patrons. The esthetic of the space is so chic and dimly lit, great ambiance with marble table tops with weighted seats and comfy benches. We did have to wait a bit and ultimately ask our server if we could order from her. The food was amazing, the app fried provolone so good, the Caesar salad was delicious. The pasta was amazing and Osobuco was ridiculously large and outstanding flavor. First time here, 9/10 recommend, will be back! Oh, and the table side filthy vodka martini was 🤌🏽 a must!

The food was excellent and came promptly. I have dietary restrictions and they were more than accommodating. I lost my parking ticket and they called me on the phone twice to get it back to me! The ambiance was great. Highly recommended.

Pasta sauce was rich and flavorful, tasted like it had been simmering for hours. The tiramisu was excellent and of the best i’ve had. Definitely returning in the future!

We have been to the other restaurants from this chef and unfortunately this one didn't quite measure up. The cauliflower was ok and a salad course was quite ordinary. The caccio pepe came out luke warm and cooked of rapidly making it hard to eat especially as it was al dente. The steak tasted alright but had a lot of veins and gristle. The place was quite full but for us, we'd rather go to their other restaurants

The chopped salad was excellent, the two pasta dishes we had were delicious and cooked perfectly, the roast chicken was average (a little dry), but the sauce underneath was delicious. They were out of osso buco unfortunately. The cannolis for dessert were excellent.

Jemma is a gem for sure, and a very welcome addition to the area of The Pantages. Service was friendly and attentive, drinks were tasty, and the food was very, very good. The somewhat small menu is perfect for the size of the kitchen, which was sending out food at a swift pace. We happened to be seated near the service pass-thru of the open kitchen, and the entire staff was operating in top form. Food was delivered hot and perfectly cooked, and again it was very tasty. Give it a try for sure!!!

Jemma is quickly becoming one of our favorite restaurants. We were so excited to see the same people from Ospi open up a place on this side of town. Everything we’ve tried on the menu has been excellent. Can’t wait to go back.

We were very disappointed in the food. With the exception of the garlic bread and salad which were good, the rest was meh. There were four of us - two pasta dishes, steak and osso bucco and none were great. And this is not an inexpensive restaurant. That said, service was great and pre theater location excellent.

Great space, great food, but the kitchen bar and server were out of synch. For example, our starters arrived and we ate them before our drinks made their way to the table. Likewise, our wine arrived after we completed our entrees.

great service! and the staff even wrote a birthday card for my girlfriend and everyone signed it. it was so sweet! the charred broccolini, garlic bread, caesar salad with chicken, spicy rigatoni, and tiramisu were all a major hit and not overpriced in my opinion.

This restaurant is right off of Vine and was a super short walk from The Pantages. We decided to give this new place a try before our show (they’ve only been open 8 weeks) and we will definitely be dining there in the future. Once we stepped into the door we were taken back by the beautiful chandelier and the beautiful interior of the foyer. The restaurant is a prime example of classic elegance and the service was outstanding! From the host, to the servers, to the bar, everyone made sure that we had what we needed and worked seamlessly as a team. The food was delicious! We ordered meatballs and garlic break with crispy provolone and a salad to start. We had the steak, and lemon spaghetti as well *chef’s kiss* While the portions are shareable, my husband and I joked that we will not be sharing our dishes next time, they were that delicious! We want our own! Everything was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked to order. Our server let us know that the sister Jemma locations have different cuisines but signature staple dishes as well like their rigatoni. Make your reservations now for a lovely dining experience.
